## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

**Greenhouse Jobs Scraper** gives you every open job from **5,600+ companies' Greenhouse career sites** (Stripe, SpaceX, Databricks, Anduril, Carvana, Roblox, Airbnb, Coinbase…) in one search: **200,000+ jobs**, refreshed **every hour**, returned in **seconds**. Search by job title, location, company name or Greenhouse careers-page URL, or pull only the jobs posted in the last hour, 24 hours or 7 days. Every row links to the original Greenhouse job page and apply page.

It works like a **Greenhouse jobs API**: we keep a fresh index of Greenhouse job boards, so your run does no slow page-by-page crawling, needs no proxies or login, and costs only for the jobs it returns.

**Price: from $1.00 per 1,000 jobs**: $2.50 on Apify's free plan, $2.00 / $1.50 / $1.00 on the Starter / Scale / Business plans. The prefilled run (50 jobs, a few seconds) costs at most **$0.13**.

**New (Oct 22, 2026), built from the most common requests on job-scraper Issues tabs:**

- **Only new jobs since last run**: turn on **Only new jobs since last run** for a scheduled search and each run returns (and charges for) only the Greenhouse jobs an earlier run of the same search didn't return.
- **Seniority / experience level** on every row (`seniority`: intern, entry, mid, senior, lead, staff_principal, manager, executive) and a **Seniority** filter.
- **Salary for many more jobs**: Greenhouse rows had no salary field until now; the pay range is now read from the job description (US pay-transparency ranges like "$105,480—$198,144 USD"). `salary_source` says where it came from (`ats` or `description`), `salary_annual_min` / `salary_annual_max` annualize hourly and monthly pay, and **Minimum annual salary (USD)** filters on it.
- **Remote / hybrid / on-site for more jobs**: `workplace_type` is also filled from the job title, location and description when Greenhouse doesn't state it.

**Also new (Oct 22, 2026, second batch), all optional and off by default:**

- **Visa sponsorship**: every row gets `visa_sponsorship` (`yes`, `no` or empty when the posting doesn't say), read from the description, and a **Visa sponsorship** filter (only jobs that say they sponsor, or drop jobs that say they don't).
- **Only jobs with salary** now also counts pay ranges parsed from the job description, not just Greenhouse's salary field.
- **Which search term matched**: `matched_title_terms` and `matched_location_terms` echo the Job title / Location terms each row matched, so one run with many terms is easy to split.
- **Exclude staffing agencies**: skip jobs posted by staffing and recruitment agencies; every row gets `is_staffing_agency`.
- **Company open-job count**: `company_open_jobs` = how many open jobs that company currently has in our index (all its boards).

If this saved you time, a quick review on the Store helps a lot, and feature requests go in the Issues tab; we usually ship them within days.

### What does Greenhouse Jobs Scraper do?

- Searches **200,000+ open Greenhouse jobs** from **5,600+ companies** at once, or just the companies you list.
- Filters by **job title** (wildcards like `engineer*`), **keywords**, **location**, **remote**, **workplace type**, **seniority**, **minimum salary**, **employment type**, **salary published** and **posted within** (1 h, 24 h, 7 d, 30 d or any time).
- **Only new jobs since last run** for scheduled searches: each run returns only jobs you haven't received yet.
- Accepts **company names or Greenhouse URLs** (`https://boards.greenhouse.io/<company>` or `https://job-boards.greenhouse.io/<company>`).
- Returns clean, **deduplicated** rows: title, company, department, team, seniority, locations, country, remote flag, workplace type, posted date, first/last seen, salary (from Greenhouse or the description, plus annualized), **full job description**, job URL and the employer's own apply URL.
- Can return the **Greenhouse jobs that closed in the last 7 days**, so you can expire them in your own job board or CRM.
- Skips job aggregators that repost other companies' jobs, and re-listed old jobs in the time windows.

### How to scrape Greenhouse jobs

1. Click **Start**. The prefilled input returns **50 software engineer jobs in the United States posted on Greenhouse boards in the last 7 days**.
2. Change **Job title contains** to your role and **Location contains** to your market, or list companies in **Companies** (names like `stripe`, or a Greenhouse URL like `https://boards.greenhouse.io/stripe`).
3. Download the results as **JSON, CSV, Excel** or send them to Google Sheets, Make, Zapier, n8n or your AI agent.

### How much does it cost to scrape Greenhouse jobs?

Pay per job returned, platform usage included: **$2.50 per 1,000 jobs** on the free plan, **$2.00** on Starter, **$1.50** on Scale, **$1.00** on Business and above. 1,000 Greenhouse jobs on the free plan cost $2.50; Apify's monthly free credit covers about 2,000 jobs. Set **Max results** and the run stops exactly there.

### Who uses a Greenhouse jobs scraper?

- **Job boards and newsletters**: backfill a niche board with fresh Greenhouse jobs every hour or day, and remove closed ones.
- **Recruiters and staffing agencies**: see which companies just opened roles you can fill.
- **Sales teams**: companies hiring for a function are buying signals (try our [Hiring Signals API](https://apify.com/cleanrowdata/hiring-signals-api) for one row per company).
- **Analysts and researchers**: track hiring, titles, locations and salary ranges across Greenhouse employers.
- **AI agents and RAG apps**: clean job data with full descriptions, via the Apify API or MCP server.

### Use the Greenhouse jobs API from Python, JavaScript or an AI agent

Call it with the Apify API (`POST https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/cleanrowdata~greenhouse-jobs-scraper/run-sync-get-dataset-items`), the Python or JavaScript client, or the Apify MCP server. See the **API** tab for ready-to-copy code.

### FAQ

#### Is this a live Greenhouse scraper or a database?

Both, in effect: we re-crawl every Greenhouse board in our index every hour and your run searches that fresh copy, so it is fast and never blocked. To scrape **any** careers page live, including companies not in the index, use [Careers Page Jobs Scraper](https://apify.com/cleanrowdata/careers-jobs-feed).

#### My company is missing. What can I do?

Use [Careers Page Jobs Scraper](https://apify.com/cleanrowdata/careers-jobs-feed) with its careers URL, or open an issue with the URL and we'll add the board to the index.

#### How fresh is the data?

Greenhouse boards are re-checked every hour. `first_seen` tells you when a job first appeared in the index and `last_seen` when it was last confirmed open.

#### How do I get only new jobs since my last run?

Turn on **Only new jobs since last run** and schedule the Actor. Each run skips the jobs an earlier run of the same search already returned, so you only get, and pay for, new ones. The memory is a key-value store named `cleanrowdata-greenhouse-jobs-scraper-seen` in your own Apify account (job ids only, kept 90 days); give it a **Saved-search name** to keep it while you tweak filters.

#### Does the apply link go to the employer?

Yes. `apply_url` and `job_url` are the company's own Greenhouse pages, never a LinkedIn or Indeed redirect.

#### Does the job sponsor visas?

`visa_sponsorship` is `yes` when the description says the company sponsors (e.g. "Visa sponsorship is available"), `no` when it says it doesn't or requires work authorization without sponsorship, and empty when the posting doesn't say (most don't). Use the **Visa sponsorship** filter to keep only `yes`, or to drop `no`.

#### Remote, hybrid or on-site?

`workplace_type` is `remote`, `hybrid`, `onsite` or `null`: what Greenhouse states, else the title/location ("Hybrid - Austin, TX"), else a clear statement in the description. `null` means not stated, not on-site.

#### Do I need a Greenhouse account, API key or proxies?

No. The data comes from Greenhouse's public job boards. You only need an Apify account.

#### Is it legal to scrape Greenhouse job postings?

These are public job postings that employers publish to be found. We collect no personal data. Check the terms that apply to how you use the data.

# Actor input Schema

## `timeRange` (type: `string`):

Only jobs that appeared within this window. For jobs found when a company was first added to the index, the date the company posted them is used instead.

## `titleSearch` (type: `array`):

Match any of these words or phrases in the job title (whole words, case-insensitive). Add \* for a prefix: <code>engineer\*</code> matches engineer and engineering.

## `titleExclusionSearch` (type: `array`):

Skip jobs whose title contains any of these words, e.g. senior, intern, sales.

## `keywords` (type: `array`):

Match any of these words in the title, department, team or company name.

## `excludeKeywords` (type: `array`):

Skip jobs whose title, department, team or company contains any of these words.

## `locationSearch` (type: `array`):

Match any of these in the job location, e.g. <code>New York</code>, <code>London</code>, <code>United States</code>, <code>US</code>. Use <code>remote</code> to include remote jobs.

## `locationExclusionSearch` (type: `array`):

Skip jobs whose location contains any of these.

## `remoteOnly` (type: `boolean`):

Only jobs marked remote by the ATS or with 'remote' in the location.

## `workplaceTypes` (type: `array`):

Only jobs with one of these workplace types: as stated by the ATS, or by the job title / location (e.g. "Hybrid - Austin, TX"). Jobs that state it nowhere are left out when this is set. Output rows also fill workplace_type from the description when it says so.

## `companies` (type: `array`):

Only jobs from these companies: a name (e.g. <code>stripe</code>) or a Greenhouse careers URL (e.g. <code>https://boards.greenhouse.io/stripe</code>). Leave empty to search all 5,600+ Greenhouse companies.

## `companyExclusion` (type: `array`):

Skip these companies (name, board id or domain contains).

## `employmentTypes` (type: `array`):

Only these employment types (when the ATS states them).

## `seniority` (type: `array`):

Only these levels, read from the job title (titles with no level word count as Mid level). Every row also gets a <code>seniority</code> field. Empty = all.

## `hasSalary` (type: `boolean`):

Only jobs that show a pay range: from the ATS, or (since Oct 2026) parsed from the job description, e.g. US pay-transparency ranges. Jobs without an ATS salary have their description checked, so this returns more jobs than before and can take a little longer on broad searches.

## `minSalaryUsd` (type: `integer`):

Only jobs whose pay range (from the ATS, or parsed from the job description, e.g. US pay-transparency ranges) is in USD and whose annualized top of range is at least this. Hourly and monthly pay is annualized. Leave empty to include jobs without salary.

## `visaSponsorship` (type: `string`):

Read from the job description. Every row also gets a <code>visa_sponsorship</code> field: <code>yes</code> (the posting says it sponsors), <code>no</code> (says it does not, or requires work authorization without sponsorship) or empty (not stated). Most postings don't say, so <b>Only jobs that say they sponsor</b> returns far fewer jobs; <b>Drop jobs that say they do NOT</b> keeps jobs that don't mention it.

## `jobStatus` (type: `string`):

Closed = jobs removed from the company's board in the last 7 days; with a time range, filtered by when they closed. Use it to expire jobs in your own database.

## `dedupe` (type: `boolean`):

Return one row per company + title + location (companies often list the same role on several boards).

## `excludeAggregators` (type: `boolean`):

Skip reposting marketplaces and staffing aggregators (Jobgether, AO Garcia Agency, Bjakcareer, Pavago...) that copy other companies' jobs onto their own ATS boards. On by default, so every row is a direct employer posting.

## `excludeStaffingAgencies` (type: `boolean`):

Skip jobs posted by staffing and recruitment agencies (Randstad, Robert Half, Aya Healthcare, '... Recruitment', '... Staffing' and similar), detected from the company name. Every row also gets an <code>is_staffing_agency</code> field. Off by default.

## `excludeReposts` (type: `boolean`):

Skip re-posted jobs: jobs that just (re)appeared on a company's board but whose ATS posted date is more than 7 days older (reopened or re-listed requisitions). On by default, so 'Last 24 hours' / 'Last 7 days' means newly posted. Turn off to also get re-posts. Applies to the time windows only.

## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):

Add the full job description (plain text, up to 10,000 characters) to each row. On by default; turn off for smaller, slightly faster results. Very new jobs may have description = null for 1-2 hours.

## `sortBy` (type: `string`):

Newest in index first (default) or by the date the company says it posted the job.

## `limit` (type: `integer`):

Maximum jobs to return (you pay per job returned). Up to 5,000 per run.

## `onlyNewSinceLastRun` (type: `boolean`):

For scheduled runs: skip jobs that an earlier run with the same search already returned, so you only get (and pay for) new ones. The list of returned job ids is kept in a key-value store named after this Actor (<code>cleanrowdata-…-seen</code>) in your own Apify account (90 days). The first run returns everything that matches.

## `stateKey` (type: `string`):

Used with "Only new jobs since last run". By default each different search keeps its own memory; give a name (e.g. <code>daily-data-jobs</code>) to keep the memory while you edit the filters, or a new name to start fresh.
