## Changelog

### 1.0 (2026-10-09), pre-release update

- Price approved: `lei-record` $0.002 (FREE/BRONZE), $0.0016 (SILVER), $0.0012 (GOLD+), plus the default start fee.
- Store title no longer contains "(GLEIF data)". GLEIF is named only as the data source in the description, next to the non-endorsement disclaimer. The README intro no longer calls the API "official".

### 1.0 (2026-10-09)

- First release, using the free public GLEIF API (no key).
- Lookups:
  - LEIs: checksum-validated, 100 per API request;
  - legal names: exact, then GLEIF fuzzy search; legal-form-aware normalization; current legal name preferred over former names;
  - BICs: 8 characters treated as `XXX`;
  - ISINs: Luhn-validated;
  - registration numbers: also tries the other spacing, e.g. "HRB6684" and "HRB 6684".
- One or more rows per input with a status (`found`, `ambiguous`, `possible_match`, `not_found`, `filtered_out`, `invalid_input`, `error`) and a plain-English `statusDetail`. Ambiguous matches are ranked (active, issued, non-branch first).
- Optional direct and ultimate parent (or reporting-exception reason), and direct and ultimate children with totals (up to 1,000 per type).
- Filters: legal-address country, entity status, LEI registration status.
- Reliability:
  - one global rate limiter (50 requests/min by default, never above GLEIF's 60);
  - exponential backoff on 429, 5xx, timeouts and network errors;
  - partial results: errors become rows and the run continues;
  - progress survives migration.
- Pay-per-event `lei-record` (only rows with entity data are charged). Respects the user's maximum cost per run.
- Every row carries `source`, `license` (CC0 1.0), `goldenCopyPublishDate` and GLEIF links. Rows with BICs carry the SWIFT notice required by the BIC/LEI Mapping Table License. `TERMS_NOTICE` and `RUN_REPORT` records are included.
