## Changelog

### 0.3.25 (2026-10-28)

- The Quick start form picture now shows only the input fields you fill in, with boxes that match the steps.
- The output section names all four Dataset tabs, and Limits explains what happens when a server sends very large headers.
- Software rebuilt with current libraries; checks are unchanged.

### 0.3.23 (2026-10-28)

- Sharper Quick start screenshots of the input form and the result table, taken at full resolution.

### 0.3.21 (2026-10-27)

- The Quick start now shows the input form and the result table with numbered boxes, so you can see where to paste URLs and which columns answer your question.
- Every README section ends with a direct link to the input form.
- Software rebuilt with current libraries; checks and prices are unchanged.

### 0.3 update (2026-10-27)

- New **Plain URL list** field: paste URLs as plain text, one per line. You can use it instead of, or together with, the old list.
- New **Max redirects to follow** setting (0–10). Set 0 to see a 301 or 302 without following it.
- New **Request method** setting: HEAD then GET (as before) or GET only, for sites that answer HEAD badly.
- New **User-Agent** setting, for when a site owner asks you to identify your checks.
- More accurate results: when a server answers HEAD with 400, 403 or 404, the Actor now asks again with GET before marking the link broken.
- A chain of exactly 10 redirects is now followed to the end; only a longer chain is marked as too many redirects.
- New output fields: `errorType` (a stable reason code for broken links), `requestMethod` and `usedGetFallback`.
- Fixed: sites on WordPress VIP hosting (for example nasa.gov and tumblr.com) were wrongly marked as blocked addresses; they are now checked normally.
- Lower prices on paid Apify plans: Bronze USD 0.0018, Silver USD 0.00135, Gold and above USD 0.0009 per URL result.
- Software update with current libraries.

### 0.3 (2026-10-26)

- The Input form now starts with two real apify.com pages, so a first run shows a redirect and a normal page.
- Requests now clearly identify this Actor to the checked sites.
- One URL now stops after 40 seconds in total, with all retries and redirect hops, and shows `Check time limit reached`.
- New pricing: Apify platform usage is included in the price; URL results get Store plan discounts; a URL that does not answer after all retries costs USD 0.001.
- Output field descriptions and two extra table views: Broken links and Redirect routes.
- Software update with current libraries and all known security fixes.
- Runs now use 128 MB of memory by default, which is enough for 100 URLs.
- New output fields: `redirectCount`, `redirectStatusCodes` (the code of each redirect hop), `contentType`, `contentLength` and `server`.
- The default run timeout is now 5 minutes. A shorter run timeout no longer loses rows: new checks stop in time to save them.

### 0.2 (2026-10-06)

- Fixed the Input form example so a new run works without edits.

### 0.1 (2026-10-04)

- Initial release: check up to 100 public URLs for final HTTP status, redirect steps and broken links.
