## What's an Apify Actor?

Actors are web data automations that power AI and operations. They run on the Apify platform to scrape websites, process data, connect APIs, and automate workflows.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.
Actors are written with capital "A".

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.
The best way to integrate Actors is as follows.

- **AI agents and MCP clients** — the [Apify MCP server](https://docs.apify.com/integrations/mcp.md) at `https://mcp.apify.com` (remote, streamable HTTP, OAuth on first use).
- **Agentic workflows and local Actor development** — [Agent Skills](https://apify.com/.well-known/agent-skills/index.json) with the [Apify CLI](https://docs.apify.com/cli/docs.md): `npm install -g apify-cli`, then `apify login`.
- **JavaScript/TypeScript projects** — the official [JS/TS client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md): `npm install apify-client`.
- **Python projects** — the official [Python client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md): `pip install apify-client`.
- **Any other language** — the [REST API](https://docs.apify.com/api/v2.md).

For usage examples, see the [API](#api) section below.

# README

## Zoro Review Scraper — Customer Reviews & Ratings

Scrape customer reviews for [Zoro.com](https://www.zoro.com) products (Grainger's
e-commerce arm). For every review you get the author, star rating, date, title,
body text, location, verified-buyer flag and recommendation, plus the product's
overall rating — clean structured data ready for JSON, CSV, or Excel export.
Optional since-date filtering stops once reviews get older than a date you set.

Built and maintained by [Clootrack](https://www.clootrack.com): this is the same
scraper that feeds our own customer-analytics platform in production, so when
Zoro changes their site, we notice before you do.

### What you get

```json
{
    "product_url": "https://www.zoro.com/dewalt-20v-max-cordless-drill-driver-kit-dcd771c2/i/G0544829/",
    "sku": "DeWalt 20V MAX Cordless Drill/Driver Kit, 1/2 in",
    "author": "MikeH",
    "review_rating": 5,
    "product_rating": "4.7",
    "date": "2026-05-14",
    "title": "Great value",
    "review": "Plenty of torque for everyday jobs, battery lasts...",
    "location": "Ohio",
    "verified_buyer": "Yes",
    "recommended": "Yes, I recommend this product",
    "page_no": 1,
    "source": "Zoro.com"
}
```

### Use cases

- 🗣 **Voice-of-customer analytics** — what industrial/MRO buyers actually say
- ⭐ **Rating & sentiment tracking** — trend ratings over time with since-date runs
- 🔎 **Product quality signals** — verified-buyer reviews per SKU

### Input

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| `productUrls` | Zoro.com product page URLs (must contain the `/i/{PRODUCT_ID}/` segment) |
| `sinceDate` | Optional `YYYY-MM-DD`; stop once reviews are older |
| `includeProductName` | Fetch the product name (one extra request per product; default on) |
| `concurrency` | Products scraped in parallel (default 3) |
| `proxyConfiguration` | Residential proxies **required** (see below) |

### 🔒 Anti-bot: residential proxy required

The reviews themselves come from Zoro's public PowerReviews display API. The
product-name lookup fetches the Zoro product page, which blocks datacenter IPs.
This Actor uses Chrome TLS impersonation over Apify **residential** proxies with
a fresh proxy session per retry. **Residential proxies are required.**

### ⚖️ Legal & responsible use

This Actor extracts **publicly available data only** — no login, no private or
personal data. By running it you agree to Clootrack's Actor Terms of Use (see our
[organization profile](https://apify.com/clootrack)): **you are solely responsible**
for how you use this Actor and its output, including compliance with applicable
laws and the target website's terms, and you **indemnify Clootrack** against any
claims arising from your use. Not legal advice; scraping legality depends on your
jurisdiction and use case.

# Actor input Schema

## `productUrls` (type: `array`):

Zoro.com product page URLs, one per line (must contain the /i/{PRODUCT\_ID}/ segment, e.g. https://www.zoro.com/.../i/G0544829/).

## `sinceDate` (type: `string`):

Optional. Stop paginating once reviews are older than this date. Leave blank to scrape all reviews.

## `includeProductName` (type: `boolean`):

Fetch the product name from the product page (one extra request per product). Turn off to skip and run faster.

## `concurrency` (type: `integer`):

How many products to scrape at the same time.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Residential proxies are REQUIRED — Zoro blocks datacenter IPs, especially on the product-name page fetch.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "productUrls": [
    "https://www.zoro.com/dewalt-20v-max-cordless-drill-driver-kit-dcd771c2/i/G0544829/"
  }
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `results` (type: `string`):
