## Pricing

from $3.99 / 1,000 results

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## Facebook Posts Scraper

Facebook posts scraper for public Pages. Paste a Page URL, run the actor, and get post text plus reaction, share, and comment counts in a clean dataset you can export to JSON, CSV, or Excel.

It works on public Facebook Pages only. Private profiles and content behind a login are out of scope.

### What data does this actor extract

| Field | Meaning |
|-------|---------|
| `postId` | Facebook post id |
| `text` | Post message text when available |
| `reactions` | Total reaction count |
| `shares` | Share count |
| `commentsCount` | Comment count |
| `pageName` | Public Page display name |
| `creationTime` | Creation time when present on the page |
| `sourceUrl` | Page URL the row came from |
| `scrapedAt` | ISO timestamp for when the row was saved |

### Use cases

- Track brand Page performance by pulling reactions, shares, and comments for every public post
- Benchmark rival Pages on posting frequency and average reactions
- Find better posting times by grouping posts by hour and weekday
- Archive a public institution timeline (for example a city council or NASA) for later research
- Spot posts whose share count is far above the Page median
- Schedule a weekly Page report into Google Sheets or Looker Studio

### How to run

1. Add one or more public Facebook Page URLs under `startUrls`.
2. Set `maxItems` if you want more than the default of 3 (up to 1000).
3. Start the run and download the dataset.

A Page that returns no posts writes an error row and the run continues with the next URL.

### Input

| Parameter | Type | Default | Description |
|-----------|------|---------|-------------|
| `startUrls` | array | NASA Page | Public Facebook Page URLs |
| `maxItems` | integer | 3 | Max posts to save (hard cap 1000) |
| `requestTimeoutSecs` | integer | 30 | Per-request timeout in seconds |

#### Example input

```json
{
  "startUrls": [
    { "url": "https://www.facebook.com/NASA/" }
  ],
  "maxItems": 3,
  "requestTimeoutSecs": 30
}
```

### Example output

```json
{
  "postId": "123456789012345",
  "text": "Sample public post text from the Page.",
  "reactions": 4200,
  "shares": 310,
  "commentsCount": 188,
  "pageName": "NASA",
  "creationTime": 1730000000,
  "sourceUrl": "https://www.facebook.com/NASA/",
  "scrapedAt": "2026-11-02T01:00:00+00:00",
  "error": null
}
```

### FAQ

**How many posts can one run collect?**
Up to `maxItems`, with a hard maximum of 1000 posts per run.

**Can I scrape private profiles or groups?**
No. This actor only targets public Facebook Pages.

**What happens if a Page URL fails?**
The actor saves an error row for that URL and continues with the remaining URLs.

**Does it need my Facebook login?**
No. It only reads public Page content.

**Can I schedule recurring runs?**
Yes. Use Apify schedules and push the dataset into Sheets, Make, Zapier, or n8n.

Public Facebook Page URLs to scrape posts from (for example https://www.facebook.com/NASA/).

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Maximum number of posts to save per run. Default is 3 to keep test runs cheap. Raise up to 1000 when you need a larger export.
