## Pricing

from $1.00 / 1,000 results

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Pinterest Scraper: Search Pins, Videos, Boards & Profiles

Pinterest Scraper lets you search Pinterest by keyword and export the results as structured data. Collect **pins, video pins, boards and profiles** together with images, links, creators and, optionally, repin, save, comment and share counts. No Pinterest account or login is needed.

Download your data as **JSON, CSV, Excel, XML or HTML**, schedule runs, or connect the results to your own tools through the Apify platform.

### What does Pinterest Scraper do?

You give it keywords (or Pinterest search URLs) and it returns the public search results for each of them:

- 📌 **Pins**: image links, title, description, destination link, domain, dominant color, creator and board
- 🎬 **Video pins**: video stream link, size, duration and thumbnail
- 📋 **Boards**: board name, URL, number of pins, cover image and owner
- 👤 **Profiles**: username, full name, followers, number of pins and boards
- 📊 **Engagement stats (optional)**: repins, saves, comments and shares for every pin

### Why use Pinterest Scraper?

- **Low price**: pay only for the results you get, with no hidden platform-usage fees
- **Go beyond Pinterest's search limit**: one Pinterest search stops after roughly 800-1,000 results. Switch on *Expand with related keywords* and the scraper keeps going with related searches until it reaches your target, without duplicates
- **Clean results**: sponsored pins are removed by default, and the same pin is never returned (or charged) twice
- **Four result types in one tool**: pins, videos, boards and profiles
- **Easy to automate**: schedule runs, trigger webhooks, and use the Apify API and integrations

### Who is it for?

| If you are... | You can... |

2. Enter one or more **Search keywords**, for example `minimalist living room`. You can also paste Pinterest search URLs.
3. Choose **What to search for**: pins, videos, boards or profiles.
4. Set **Max items per keyword**. Start small (for example 50) to see what the data looks like.
5. Optional: turn on **Include engagement stats** or **Expand with related keywords**.
6. Click **Start**. When the run is finished, open the **Output** tab and download your data in the format you prefer.

### Input

| Field | What it does |

**Main fields**

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| `type` | `pin`, `video`, `board` or `profile` |
| `url` | Public Pinterest link of the result |
| `title`, `description`, `altText` | Text of the pin |
| `link`, `domain` | Where the pin points to and its source website |
| `image`, `imageSizes` | Image links in several sizes, including the original |

| `engagement` | Repins, saves, comments and shares (when enabled) |
| `keywords` | Related keywords Pinterest shows for the pin |
| `creator`, `board` | Who saved the pin and where |
| `query` | The keyword that found the result |
| `expandedFrom` | The related keyword that found it, when expansion was used |

### How much does it cost to scrape Pinterest?

The Actor uses **pay-per-event** pricing, so you only pay for what you collect. Current prices are shown on the **Pricing** tab and become lower on higher Apify plans.

| Event | Price on the Free plan |
|---|---|
| Result (pin, video, board or profile) | $1.50 per 1,000 |
| Engagement stats (optional, per pin) | $0.60 per 1,000 |
| Actor start | $0.005 per run |

Platform usage is included. Example: 5,000 pins with engagement stats cost about 5 × ($1.50 + $0.60) = $10.50 plus the start fee. You can set a **maximum cost per run** in the run options, and the scraper stops when it is reached.

### Tips for best results

- Run a small test first (20-50 results) to check the fields you need.
- Use specific keywords for focused data, and the expansion option when you need large volumes.
- Use the `expandedFrom` field to filter out results from related keywords that are too broad.
- Schedule the Actor to track how trends and engagement change over time.

### Integrations and API

Connect Pinterest Scraper to other apps and services using Apify integrations (for example Make, Zapier, Google Sheets, Slack or webhooks), or call it from your own code with the Apify API and the Python and JavaScript clients.

### FAQ

**Do I need a Pinterest account?**
No. The Actor only collects publicly visible data.

**How many results can I get?**
A single Pinterest search ends after roughly 800-1,000 results. Use *Expand with related keywords* to collect more for the same topic.

**Can I scrape boards or profiles instead of pins?**
Yes. Choose *Boards* or *Profiles* in **What to search for**.

**Why are some fields empty?**
Not every pin has a title, description or destination link. Empty values are returned as `null`.

**Does it return video files?**
Video pins include a video stream link plus size, duration and thumbnail.

**Are the engagement numbers exact?**
They are a snapshot of what Pinterest shows at the time of the run.

**Is it legal to scrape Pinterest?**
The Actor collects publicly available data only. You are responsible for using the data in line with Pinterest's terms, copyright and privacy laws such as GDPR. Do not use personal data without a legal basis.

**I found a problem or need a new feature.**
Please open an issue from the Actor's **Issues** tab and describe what you expected.

# Actor input Schema

## `queries` (type: `array`):

One search per keyword, e.g. `minimalist living room`.

## `startUrls` (type: `array`):

Optional. Pinterest search URLs such as `https://www.pinterest.com/search/pins/?q=cats`. The search type is taken from the URL.

## `scope` (type: `string`):

Applies to the keywords above (search URLs carry their own type).

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Maximum number of results collected for each keyword. Pinterest ends a single search after roughly 800-1,000 results; enable related-keyword expansion to collect more.

## `includeEngagement` (type: `boolean`):

Adds repin, save, comment and share counts to every pin and video. Needs one extra request per pin, so it is billed as a separate, small 'engagement' event (pins and videos only).

## `expandRelatedQueries` (type: `boolean`):

When a search runs dry before reaching the limit, automatically continue with related keywords found on the scraped pins (pins and videos only). Results are de-duplicated.

## `maxExpansionQueries` (type: `integer`):

Upper bound on how many related keywords are tried per keyword when expansion is enabled.

## `skipPromoted` (type: `boolean`):

Drop sponsored pins from the results. You are not charged for skipped items.

## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):

How many keywords are scraped in parallel.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Residential proxies are recommended for reliable results.
