## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

### ⚖️ California Bar Lawyers Email Scraper – Find California Attorneys' Real Emails Fast 📧

**California Bar Lawyers Email Scraper** extracts **the real public email addresses of California attorneys from the official State Bar of California attorney profiles – with their name, Bar number, profile URL and contact context** in minutes. Add your keywords (city, county, law firm or practice area), keep **all email domains** (attorneys use their law firm domain) or pick specific ones, and get a clean, deduplicated list of attorney emails.

Perfect for **legal-tech and legal software companies, legal marketing agencies, court reporters, process servers, expert witnesses, litigation funders, legal staffing agencies, CLE providers and B2B sales teams** looking to reach California lawyers, the largest attorney market in the United States.

### ✨ Why this California Bar Lawyers Email Scraper?

- 🛡️ **Real emails only, no decoys** – State Bar profiles print around 20 fake email addresses on every page to trap scrapers. This actor identifies the **one real email** shown to visitors and discards the fakes. When the real email cannot be identified with certainty, the profile is skipped: you never pay for fake emails
- 🏛️ **Official source** – emails come from attorneys' public profiles on the State Bar of California website
- 🏢 **Law firm emails included** – collects **every** email domain by default (`name@smithlaw.com`, `name@doj.ca.gov`…), not only Gmail or Yahoo
- 🎯 **Attorneys only** – the State Bar's own addresses are excluded
- 📈 **Built for volume** – many query variations (cities, counties, firms, practice areas, time windows) to surface thousands of attorneys
- 🎯 **Unique emails only** – every email appears once, no duplicates
- 🛑 **Stops exactly at your target** – and stops automatically when no more emails are available, so you never waste time or money
- 📤 **Export anywhere** – JSON, CSV, Excel, XML, HTML, API, Zapier, Make, Google Sheets

### ❓ FAQ

**Is it legal to scrape California Bar emails?**
This actor only collects the contact information that attorneys publish on their public State Bar of California profiles. Being listed is not consent to receive unsolicited messages: you are responsible for using the data in compliance with anti-spam and privacy laws (CAN-SPAM, CCPA, TCPA…). Send relevant, professional messages, identify yourself and always include an unsubscribe option.

**What about the fake emails on State Bar profiles?**
Each profile contains around 20 decoy addresses hidden from visitors. The actor keeps only the address actually displayed to visitors. If a profile's real email cannot be identified with certainty, the profile is skipped, so your list never contains decoys.

**Why are there no Gmail addresses?**
Most attorneys use their law firm's or agency's domain. Keep `*` in email domains to collect them all.

**Why did I get fewer emails than requested?**
Some keywords match only a few attorney profiles, and not every attorney publishes an email. The actor stops automatically when no more emails exist for your search. To get more, add more keywords (cities, counties, practice areas, firm types).

**Do I need an account?**
No. Just enter your keywords and run the actor.

### 💰 Pricing

Simple pay-per-result model: you only pay for the emails you collect.

**Price: $9.99 per 1,000 emails** 💵
