## Currency Rates Scraper

Latest and historical **foreign-exchange reference rates** from free, key-less
public APIs — flat rows ready for a spreadsheet, database, or Google Sheet.

### Notes

- ECB publishes rates around 16:00 CET on TARGET business days — weekends/holidays
  carry the previous business day.
- `timeseries` always uses Frankfurter (the only key-less historical source).

## `base` (type: `string`):

ISO 4217 code the rates are quoted against (e.g. USD, EUR, GBP).

## `symbols` (type: `array`):

ISO codes to return. Leave empty for every currency the source offers.

## `mode` (type: `string`):

'latest' = newest rates. 'timeseries' = one row per day over a date range (Frankfurter / ECB only).

## `source` (type: `string`):

Frankfurter = ECB reference rates (~30 majors). open.er-api.com = 160+ currencies. 'both' merges them, Frankfurter winning on overlap.

## `startDate` (type: `string`):

YYYY-MM-DD. Required for timeseries mode. ECB data goes back to 1999.

## `endDate` (type: `string`):

YYYY-MM-DD. Defaults to today.

## `amount` (type: `integer`):

Optional. Each row also reports this amount of the base currency converted at the rate.
