## Pricing

from $2.49 / 1,000 firm with emails

This Actor is paid per event and usage. You are charged both the fixed price for specific events and for Apify platform usage.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## SA Gold Alliance Firm Emails · Law Society

Export **South Australia Gold Alliance law firms** with the **email and phone printed** on the official [Law Society of South Australia Gold Alliance directory](https://www.lawsocietysa.asn.au/Public/site/for-the-public/gold-alliance-firms.aspx). One row per firm. Public directory — no login.

**No login. No API key. No Law Society account.**

A **Gold Alliance Firm** is a legal practice in South Australia where **every practitioner with a current practising certificate is a financial member** of the Law Society. This is an **opt-in member-firm directory**, not the full South Australian practising-certificate roll.

### Who is this for?

| You are… | Typical goal | Suggested setup |
|----------|--------------|-----------------|
| Legal-tech / practice-management vendor | SA firm mailboxes | Location `all`, only with email |
| Outbound / SDR covering Adelaide | Metro Gold Alliance contacts | Location `ADELAIDE` |
| Agency / list builder | Full public Gold Alliance catalogue | Max firms 0 after a paid upgrade |
| First-run QA | Small CRM sample | 20-row sample |

**What you get by default.** Firm name, printed location, published mailbox (decoded from the public page), phone, website when the directory prints one.

**Honest coverage.** The directory is a **single public table**. A 7 Sep 2026 dump listed **512** Gold Alliance firms, **448** decoded mailboxes and **489** phones. Contacts are never invented. Empty-contact rows are skipped when **Only with email or phone** is on.

### Quick start

1. Open the Actor. Leave **Location** on `ADELAIDE`, or type `all`.
2. Keep **Only with email or phone** on.
3. Leave **Max unique firms** at 20 for a first run.
4. Click **Start**. Download JSON, CSV or Excel.

### Ready-made examples (published tasks)

Landing pages go live when you publish each task from Console (see `published-tasks/publication-console.md`). Until then, use the saved task inputs in `published-tasks/inputs/`.

| Example | Best for |
|---------|----------|
| Gold Alliance firm emails | Firms that publish a mailbox |
| Gold Alliance sample | 20-row try |
| Gold Alliance Adelaide emails | Adelaide location filter |
| Gold Alliance catalogue | Full public directory |

### What it extracts

| Category | Fields |
|----------|--------|
| Identity | Firm name |
| Contact | Email (never invented), phone, website |
| Location | Printed suburb / city |
| Provenance | Official directory URL, country `AU` |

### Input

| Field | Meaning |
|-------|---------|
| `location` | Keep firms whose printed location contains this text. `all` = full catalogue. Console default: `ADELAIDE` |
| `onlyWithContact` | Skip rows with no email and no phone. Default on |
| `requireEmail` | Keep only firms with a published mailbox |
| `requirePhone` | Keep only firms with a published phone |
| `maxItems` | Unique firms. **0** = no numerical cap. **Free plan: 20 / run** |

The public Gold Alliance catalogue is about **512** firms. Set `maxItems` unless you want the entire list.

### Output example

```json
{
  "providerKey": "SAGOLD-1878 elix lawyers|lawyers@1878lawyers.com.au|8231 1433",
  "firmName": "1878 Elix Lawyers",
  "location": "ADELAIDE",
  "phone": "8231 1433",
  "email": "lawyers@1878lawyers.com.au",
  "contactEmail": "lawyers@1878lawyers.com.au",
  "contactPhone": "8231 1433",
  "sourceUrl": "https://www.lawsocietysa.asn.au/Public/site/for-the-public/gold-alliance-firms.aspx",
  "countryCode": "AU"
}
```

Download in JSON, CSV, Excel, or HTML from the Dataset tab.

### How to use SA Gold Alliance firm emails

1. Open the Actor Input tab
2. Leave **Location** as `ADELAIDE`, or type `all`
3. Keep **Only with email or phone** on
4. Set **Max unique firms**
5. Click Start
6. Download results from the Dataset tab

Duplicate firm keys are **merged** into one CRM row. Emails come from the official Gold Alliance directory, never invented.

### How much does it cost to scrape Gold Alliance firms?

Pay-per-event. Actor start is **$0.00005**. A firm **with email** is **$0.00399** on the free pricing tier (lower on paid Apify tiers). Phone-only and no-contact rows cost less.

| Scenario | FREE | Bronze | Silver | Gold |
|----------|------|--------|--------|------|
| 20 firms with email | ~$0.08 | ~$0.07 | ~$0.06 | ~$0.05 |
| ~448 firms with email | ~$1.79 | ~$1.56 | ~$1.34 | ~$1.12 |

HTTP-only — compute stays small. Free Apify plan: **20 firms per run**.

### Is it legal to scrape the Gold Alliance directory?

This Actor only reads **public** firm fields that the Law Society of South Australia already publishes on the Gold Alliance page. No login is used.

Treat names, emails and phones as personal information under the Australian **Privacy Act 1988** and **Australian Privacy Principle 7** (direct marketing). **Do not** buy or run this Actor to send unsolicited direct marketing unless you have a lawful basis (for example consent, or another APP / Spam Act exception that applies to your use). Your use must also comply with the Law Society website terms.

This list is **not** every solicitor in South Australia — only firms that qualify as Gold Alliance (100% Law Society membership) and appear on this opt-in directory.

### Local development

```bash
npm install
cp .actor/INPUT.json storage/key_value_stores/default/INPUT.json
apify run --purge
```

Example `input.json`:

```json
{
  "location": "ADELAIDE",
  "onlyWithContact": true,
  "requireEmail": true,
  "maxItems": 20
}
```

Use `apify run` to test locally (not `npm start`). Local `storage/` is not uploaded to Console.
