## Pricing

from $3.00 / 1,000 results

This Actor is paid per event and usage. You are charged both the fixed price for specific events and for Apify platform usage.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

Actors are web data automations that power AI and operations. They run on the Apify platform to scrape websites, process data, connect APIs, and automate workflows.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.
Actors are written with capital "A".

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.
The best way to integrate Actors is as follows.

- **AI agents and MCP clients** — the [Apify MCP server](https://docs.apify.com/integrations/mcp.md) at `https://mcp.apify.com` (remote, streamable HTTP, OAuth on first use).
- **Agentic workflows and local Actor development** — [Agent Skills](https://apify.com/.well-known/agent-skills/index.json) with the [Apify CLI](https://docs.apify.com/cli/docs.md): `npm install -g apify-cli`, then `apify login`.
- **JavaScript/TypeScript projects** — the official [JS/TS client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md): `npm install apify-client`.
- **Python projects** — the official [Python client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md): `pip install apify-client`.
- **Any other language** — the [REST API](https://docs.apify.com/api/v2.md).

For usage examples, see the [API](#api) section below.

# README

## Kongfz (孔夫子旧书网) Used Books Scraper

Scrapes [kongfz.com](https://www.kongfz.com) — China's largest used/antiquarian
book marketplace — for listings, categories, sellers and book detail pages.

### Data Source

- Search / category / seller lists: the public `pc-gw/search-web` JSON API on
`search.kongfz.com` (verified accessible without auth). The API soft-blocks
CJK keyword queries from non-Chinese IPs unless the `userArea` geo parameter
is present, so the actor always sends the site's default `userArea=1006000000`
  (Beijing district) on keyword/seller queries.
- Listing detail: `book.kongfz.com/{shopId}/{itemId}/` HTML pages

### Modes

| Mode | Inputs | Source |
|---|---|---|
| `search` (default) | `searchQuery` | `.../product/keyword/list?keyword=...` |
| `byCategory` | `categoryId` (current site taxonomy: 1 文学, 3 历史, 8 线装古籍, 43 小说, 31 计算机与互联网…) | `.../product/category/list?catId=...` |
| `byBookUrl` | `bookUrls` | `book.kongfz.com/{shop}/{item}/` (canonical) |
| `bySeller` | `shopName` and/or `sellerShopId` | keyword list filtered by `shopName` |

### Output fields

`book` records: `itemId`, `title`, `author`, `publisher`, `publishDate`, `isbn`,
`price`, `condition` (品相: 全新/九五品/…), `conditionScore`, `binding` (装帧),
`seller`, `shopId`, `shopNickname`, `shopArea`, `sellerReputation`,
`shippingTime`, `listDate`, `remark`, `postage`, `isSoldOut`, `officialStore`,
`images` (verified `kfzimg.com` URLs), `url`, `shopUrl`, `shopkeeperUrl`.

Detail records add `originalPrice`, `discount` (折), `shipping`.

Every record carries `recordType`, `sourceUrl` and `scrapedAt`.

### Filters

- `minPrice` / `maxPrice` — price range (client-side)
- `condition` — 品相 enum, e.g. `brandNew` (全新) … `five` (五品), client-side

### Reliability

- Exponential-backoff retries on 429/5xx and the intermittent DNS/TLS failures
  this Chinese CDN produces.
- On 403/429 the actor lazily engages the free Apify `AUTO` datacenter proxy group.
- Invalid URLs / unparseable pages produce typed `recordType: "error"` records.
Every record — including errors — carries `sourceUrl`: fetch/parse errors
point at the failing URL, validation errors at the mode's canonical source
  page (`https://search.kongfz.com/`, `https://book.kongfz.com/`,
  `https://shop.kongfz.com/`).

### Limitations

- `bySeller` filters server-side by shop name only: the search gateway ignores
`shopId` (returns 0 rows). When only `sellerShopId` is provided the actor
resolves it to the shop name via `shop.kongfz.com/{id}` (falling back to the
`m.kongfz.com/shop/{id}` mobile page when the desktop host is TCP-blocked from
datacenter IPs); if resolution fails a typed `SHOP_RESOLVE_FAILED` error is
  emitted — provide `shopName` instead.
- `item.kongfz.com/book/{id}.html` is a client-side SPA with no server-rendered
data; such URLs produce a typed `SPA_SHELL_URL` error — use the canonical
`book.kongfz.com/{shop}/{item}/` form (returned by the search API).
- The search API caps `total` at 10,000 rows.

# Actor input Schema

## `mode` (type: `string`):

What to fetch.

## `searchQuery` (type: `string`):

Book title / author / publisher / ISBN keyword (mode=search). e.g. `红楼梦`, `东野圭吾`.

## `categoryId` (type: `string`):

Kongfz book category id (current site taxonomy, verified from search.kongfz.com navigation).

## `bookUrls` (type: `array`):

e.g. `https://book.kongfz.com/251683/9507851814/`. The `item.kongfz.com/book/{id}.html` form is a client-side SPA with no server-rendered data and yields a typed `SPA_SHELL_URL` error record — prefer the canonical `book.kongfz.com/{shop}/{item}/` form.

## `shopName` (type: `string`):

Shop name to list inventory for, e.g. `快乐之家书友的书店`. Filtered server-side.

## `sellerShopId` (type: `string`):

Numeric shop id, e.g. `251683`. Used to resolve the shop name when `shopName` is not provided (the search gateway filters by shop name only).

## `condition` (type: `string`):

Keep only listings whose condition matches (client-side).

## `minPrice` (type: `integer`):

Drop listings cheaper than this.

## `maxPrice` (type: `integer`):

Drop listings more expensive than this.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Hard cap on emitted records.
