## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

**AMS Austria jobs scraper** for public vacancies on the Austrian employment board (alle jobs). A practical **AMS jobs API alternative**: search by **keyword**, **city**, **radius**, **working time**, or **contract**, or paste a **search / vacancy URL**. Export **title**, **employer**, **city**, **federal state**, **salary text when the posting states it**, **contract**, and the **job description** as **JSON**, **CSV**, or **Excel**. Fast **HTTP**, **no headless browser**, **no login**. Run it with **Python**, **Node.js**, **cURL**, or **Apify MCP**.

Use it for recruiting coverage in Austria, employer lists, and a daily watch of new vacancy ids.

### When to use this Actor

- You need an **AMS Austria scraper** / **jobs.ams.at scraper** that returns structured vacancies
- You want **keyword + city + contract** without a partner API key
- You need **employer**, **location**, and the **description** on the same row
- You run a **daily monitor** and only want vacancy ids that were not seen last time

### When not to use this Actor

- **Candidate profiles or CVs** — public vacancies only
- **Recruiter emails, phones, or street addresses** — those fields are not saved
- **Logged-in MeinAMS** — no login
- **German public jobs** — use [Arbeitsagentur Jobs Scraper](https://apify.com/crawloop/arbeitsagentur-jobs-scraper)
- **Commercial DACH boards** — use [Stepstone Jobs Scraper](https://apify.com/crawloop/stepstone-jobs-scraper)

### Key features

- Public vacancy search plus the public vacancy page (company introduction and availability date)
- City names can take a radius (5–100 km) when the public location list resolves the place
- Working time (full-time / part-time), employment type, education, green jobs, and posted-within filters
- Monitor mode stores seen vacancy ids and saves only new rows
- 256 MB HTTP run, proxy off by default

### Input

| Field | What it does |
| :--- | :--- |
| `keyword` | Job title, skill, or employer |
| `location` | City, postal code, or federal state |
| `radiusKm` | 0–100 km around that place. 0 keeps the place text only |
| `workingTime` | `V` full-time, `T` part-time, or empty |
| `employmentType` | `AA`, `LS` (apprenticeship), `SS` (seasonal), `FS` (holiday job), `BB`, or empty |
| `educationLevel` | `P*`, `M*`, `L*`, `H*`, `U*` (university / FH), or empty |
| `postedWithin` | `LAST_24_HOURS`, `LAST_2_DAYS`, `LAST_WEEK`, `LAST_MONTH`, or empty |
| `greenJobsOnly` | Keep vacancies flagged as green jobs |
| `sortBy` | `relevance` or `date`. Monitor mode uses date |
| `startUrls` | Search or vacancy URLs. They replace keyword and location |
| `includeDetails` | Fetch the company introduction. Default on. One row is still one job |
| `maxItems` / `maxPages` | Caps. The search returns 20 vacancies per page |
| `monitorMode` | Save only new vacancy ids on later runs |

```json
{
  "keyword": "Softwareentwickler",
  "location": "Wien",
  "radiusKm": 0,
  "workingTime": "V",
  "maxItems": 50,
  "includeDetails": true,
  "proxyConfiguration": { "useApifyProxy": false }
}
```

Search URL example inside a run input:

```json
{
  "startUrls": [
    { "url": "https://jobs.ams.at/public/emps/jobs?query=Pflege&location=Wien" }
  ],
  "maxItems": 20
}
```

### Output

One dataset row is one vacancy. Street and personal contact fields are omitted. Salary is the phrase the posting already states; many vacancies have no salary text.

| Field | Meaning |
| :--- | :--- |
| `jobId`, `uuid` | Public vacancy ids |
| `title`, `company` | Role and employer |
| `city`, `zipCode`, `federalState`, `location` | Place without the street |
| `workingTime`, `employmentType` | Hours and contract labels |
| `education`, `occupation`, `isGreenJob` | Profile flags from the search |
| `salaryText` | Pay phrase when the posting states one |
| `summary`, `description`, `companyIntroduction` | Vacancy text |
| `availableFrom`, `lastUpdatedAt` | Start and freshness |
| `portalName`, `externalUrl` | Source portal when the search already names one |
| `url` | Public vacancy page |

```json
{
  "jobId": "22963868",
  "uuid": "696103c5-f2df-3944-9564-499e7f784445",
  "title": "Softwareentwickler/in",
  "company": "Fronius International GmbH",
  "city": "Wien",
  "zipCode": "1100",
  "federalState": "Wien",
  "workingTime": "Vollzeit",
  "employmentType": "Angestellte",
  "salaryText": "Gehalt ab 4.200 EUR brutto",
  "url": "https://jobs.ams.at/public/emps/jobs/696103c5-f2df-3944-9564-499e7f784445"
}
```

### Use cases

- Build a daily list of new developer, nursing, or logistics vacancies in one city
- Collect employer names and cities for a recruiting shortlist
- Keep green-job or apprenticeship filters on a schedule
- Watch one keyword and skip vacancy ids you already stored

### FAQ

**Does this use a partner API or a login?**
No. It reads the public job search and the public vacancy page. No MeinAMS login.

**What does a radius do?**
A radius above 0 looks up the place in the public location list and sends that id with the distance. If the lookup fails, the search keeps the place text.

**What does monitor mode save?**
Only vacancy ids that were not stored on a previous run. The first run is the baseline. A later run with nothing new still starts and writes no new rows.

**Are external portals included?**
The row keeps `portalName` and `externalUrl` when the search already returns them. This Actor does not open StepStone, karriere.at, or XING pages.

# Actor input Schema

## `keyword` (type: `string`):

Job title, skill, or employer (for example Softwareentwickler, Pflege, SAP).

## `keywords` (type: `array`):

Each extra keyword is a separate search. Results are deduplicated by job id.

## `location` (type: `string`):

City, postal code, or federal state (Wien, Graz, 5020). A radius resolves this to the public location id.

## `locations` (type: `array`):

Each place is a separate search, combined with each keyword.

## `radiusKm` (type: `integer`):

Distance around the place. 0 keeps the place text only. The public search uses 5, 10, 20, 50, 75, or 100.

## `workingTime` (type: `string`):

Full-time or part-time. Empty means both.

## `employmentType` (type: `string`):

Employment relationship on the public search.

## `educationLevel` (type: `string`):

Education filter used by the public search.

## `postedWithin` (type: `string`):

Keep vacancies updated inside this window.

## `greenJobsOnly` (type: `boolean`):

Keep vacancies the board flags as green jobs.

## `sortBy` (type: `string`):

Relevance matches the public search default. Date puts the newest vacancies first. Monitor mode always sorts by date.

## `startUrls` (type: `array`):

Optional public search or job URLs. When set, they replace keyword and location. A job URL ends with the vacancy uuid.

## `includeDetails` (type: `boolean`):

Open each vacancy for the company introduction and availability date. One dataset row is still one job. Street and personal contact fields are not saved.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Maximum job rows across all searches. 0 means no cap other than max pages.

## `maxPages` (type: `integer`):

Safety cap. Each page returns up to 20 vacancies.

## `monitorMode` (type: `boolean`):

On a schedule, push and charge only job ids not seen in a previous run. The first run is the baseline. Newest vacancies first.

## `monitorStoreName` (type: `string`):

Named key-value store for seen job ids. Use one name per watch.

## `resetMonitorState` (type: `boolean`):

Clear the seen-job cache before this run.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Leave proxy off. The public job search answers without a proxy. Enable one only if you see HTTP 403 or 429.
