## Pricing

from $5.00 / 1,000 products

This Actor is paid per event and usage. You are charged both the fixed price for specific events and for Apify platform usage.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## Barcode Lookup Scraper — UPC, EAN & Store Prices

> **Disclaimer:** Unofficial tool — not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Barcode Lookup or its affiliates. Data is read from publicly accessible product and search pages only. No login. You are responsible for complying with applicable law and the site’s terms. No warranty on accuracy or availability. Provided for informational and research use.

Look up a **UPC**, **EAN**, **ISBN**, or **GTIN** and get the **product title**, **brand**, **category**, **images**, and **online store prices**. This **Barcode Lookup scraper** is an **API alternative** for catalog enrichment and price comparison when you have a list of barcodes rather than a monthly subscription. Run it from **Python**, **Node.js**, or **MCP** and export JSON.

> **Crawloop Marketplace & E-commerce Suite** — resolve the barcode here, then check the same product on Amazon, Walmart, or eBay sold listings.

| UPC / EAN title, brand, images, store prices | Amazon keyword results | Walmart ZIP-local prices | eBay sold comps |

### When to use this Actor

- **Catalog enrichment** — turn a barcode list into titles, brands, categories, and images
- **Store price comparison** — lowest, highest, and average offer in the currency that appears most often
- **Identifier crosswalk** — UPC, EAN, MPN, model, and ASIN when the product page lists them
- **Keyword fallback** — search by product name when you do not have a code yet

### When not to use this Actor

- **Nutrition-only food databases** — this Actor reads retail product pages, not a food-facts API
- **Barcode images or check-digit math** — it looks up products, it does not draw or validate codes
- **Amazon or Walmart inventory** — take the title or ASIN to the sibling Actors in the table above

***

### Key Features

- **Barcode list** — UPC, EAN, ISBN, and GTIN, 8 to 14 digits
- **Keyword search** — opens matching product pages, up to 5 result pages
- **Store offers** — merchant name, price, currency, and the merchant URL when the page wraps an affiliate link
- **Price range** — low, high, and average in the dominant currency (USD wins a tie)
- **HTTP** — Chrome TLS impersonation, 256 MB. Product pages use the Apify unblocker proxy

***

### How to look up barcodes

1. Paste codes in `barcodes`, or keywords in `queries`.
2. Cap the run with `maxItems` (default 20).
3. Leave the proxy on the unblocker group.
4. Run the Actor. Download the default dataset as JSON, CSV, or Excel — or call it from Python, Node.js, or MCP.

Unknown codes and blocked pages are not saved.

### Input Parameters

| Parameter | Type | Default | Description |
| :--- | :--- | :--- | :--- |
| `barcodes` | Array | example UPC | 8–14 digit codes. One product page each |

| `maxConcurrency` | Integer | `3` | Product pages fetched at once (1–5) |
| `proxyConfiguration` | Object | unblocker, US | Apify Proxy. Product pages need the unblocker group |

#### Input example

```json
{
  "barcodes": ["194253236313", "037000740797"],
  "maxItems": 20,
***
### Use cases
- Enrich a warehouse barcode export with titles and categories before it goes into a PIM
- Compare refurbished and retail offers for the same UPC
- Attach an ASIN to a barcode, then pull Amazon results with Amazon Search Scraper
- Spot a price gap between the lowest and highest store on the page
### MCP and AI assistants
Use this Actor from AI tools via [Apify MCP](https://docs.apify.com/platform/integrations/mcp). Connect your Apify account, then call this Actor by Store ID `crawloop/barcode-lookup-scraper`.
Example prompts:
- "Run Barcode Lookup Scraper for barcodes 194253236313 and 037000740797 and return title, brand, ASIN, and priceLow as JSON"
- "Look up this UPC list with Barcode Lookup Scraper and flag rows where priceHigh is more than double priceLow"
- "Resolve these barcodes, then run Amazon Search Scraper on each ASIN title to compare the Amazon result"
### Suite next step
After the barcode row has a title or ASIN, run [Amazon Search Scraper](https://apify.com/crawloop/amazon-search-scraper) for the live Amazon result, or [Walmart Scraper](https://apify.com/crawloop/walmart-scraper) for a ZIP-local Walmart price. For sold comps, use [eBay Sold Listings Scraper](https://apify.com/crawloop/ebay-sold-listings-scraper).
### FAQ
**Does a missing barcode still create a row?**
No. Pages without a product title are skipped.
**Can I paste a keyword instead of a code?**
Yes. Put it in `queries`. Digits of 8–14 characters are looked up as barcodes.
**Why do some store links skip the tracking URL?**
When the page wraps a merchant link, the row keeps the merchant URL.
**Which currency is the average?**
The currency that appears on the most offers. If two currencies tie, USD is used. Offers in other currencies stay in `stores`.
# Actor input Schema
## `barcodes` (type: `array`):
UPC, EAN, ISBN, or GTIN codes, 8 to 14 digits. One product page per code.
## `queries` (type: `array`):
Product keywords. A numeric code in this list is looked up as a barcode. Each keyword uses the search page, then opens matching product pages until maxItems.
## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):
Maximum product rows saved in this run (1–200).
## `maxPages` (type: `integer`):
Search result pages per keyword (1–5). Ignored for barcode lookups.
## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):
How many product pages to fetch at once (1–5).
## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):
Apify Proxy. Product pages need the unblocker group. Leave the default unless you have a working proxy URL.
    ],
    "apifyProxyCountry": "US"
  }
}
```

# Actor output Schema
