## Pricing

from $2.50 / 1,000 part rows

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## PartsHotlines Scraper — Used Auto Parts Prices & Yards

> **Disclaimer:** Unofficial tool — not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Hotlines, Inc. or its affiliates. Data is read from publicly accessible search results only. No login. You are responsible for complying with applicable law (including GDPR where personal data appears) and the site’s terms. No warranty on accuracy or availability. Provided for informational and research use.

> **Contact-data controls:** Yard phone numbers are omitted from the dataset by default. Enable `includePhones` only for numbers already published on the public results page and only when you have a lawful basis. Any phone in the examples below assumes that opt-in. Otherwise the field is absent.

Scrape **used auto parts** from the PartsHotlines salvage-yard search. Each row is one yard offer: part name, donor year and model, asking **price**, **grade**, stock number, mileage, yard, city, state, and distance from a ZIP.

Search one year, make, model, and part. Turn on **monitor mode** and schedule the run to save only new offers and price drops.

**Best for:** body shops, recyclers, and parts buyers who want a second quote next to other used-parts inventories.

### When to use this Actor

- **Price a used part** — One year, make, model, and part name. Results include the asking price, grade, and how far the yard is from your ZIP.
- **Watch a part** — Enable `monitorMode` and schedule the same input. The first run stores a baseline. Later runs save new stock and lower prices.
- **Narrow a trim** — `interchangeMode: "match"` keeps one interchange note, for example `1.5L` or `turbo`.
- **Sort by price** — `sortBy: "price"` reads the cheapest rows first.

### Key features

- Public search only. No account and no login.
- Live catalog match for make, model, and part name.
- Price, grade, stock number, mileage, OEM number when published, yard, distance, and part photos.
- Typical price band from the results page when the site shows one.
- Monitor mode for new rows and price drops, keyed by yard and stock number.
- Phone numbers stay off unless `includePhones` is true.
- HTTP fetch, 256 MB, no proxy by default.

### Use cases

- A body shop checks the asking price and grade for a compressor before calling a yard.
- A recycler watches one part and ZIP. The scheduled run returns only new stock and lower prices.
- A buyer compares this network with [Car-Part Scraper](https://apify.com/crawloop/car-part-scraper) for the same year, make, model, and part.
- After a salvage lot on [Copart Scraper](https://apify.com/crawloop/copart-scraper), price the donor vehicle’s engine or body panel here.
- Find the donor car with [Row52 Scraper](https://apify.com/crawloop/row52-scraper) or [Pick-n-Pull Scraper](https://apify.com/crawloop/picknpull-scraper), then compare a new price on [CarParts.com Scraper](https://apify.com/crawloop/carparts-com-scraper) or a French EUR price on [Oscaro Scraper](https://apify.com/crawloop/oscaro-scraper).

### MCP and AI assistants

Use this Actor from AI tools via [Apify MCP](https://docs.apify.com/platform/integrations/mcp). Connect your Apify account, then call `crawloop/partshotlines-scraper`.

Example prompts:

- "Run PartsHotlines Scraper for a 2018 Honda Civic AC Compressor near ZIP 10001, max 20, and return price, partGrade, yardName, and distanceMiles."
- "Turn on monitor mode for that Civic compressor and tell me which stock numbers dropped in price."
- "After PartsHotlines Scraper prices a 2018 Civic compressor, run CarParts.com Scraper for the new US price and Oscaro Scraper for the EUR price."

### Suite next step

For the same part on the other large recycler network, run [Car-Part Scraper](https://apify.com/crawloop/car-part-scraper). For a new catalog price, run [CarParts.com Scraper](https://apify.com/crawloop/carparts-com-scraper) or [Oscaro Scraper](https://apify.com/crawloop/oscaro-scraper). For the donor car's yard row, run [Row52 Scraper](https://apify.com/crawloop/row52-scraper) or [Pick-n-Pull Scraper](https://apify.com/crawloop/picknpull-scraper). For the donor vehicle at auction, run [Copart Scraper](https://apify.com/crawloop/copart-scraper) or [IAAI Scraper](https://apify.com/crawloop/iaai-scraper).

### FAQ

**Does this log in to a yard account?**
No. It reads the public search.

**Why is the first monitor run full of rows?**
That run is the baseline. Later runs in the same `monitorStoreName` save new stock numbers and lower prices.

**Why did a narrow interchange return nothing?**
Some trims have no inventory. The run finishes with 0 rows. Use `interchangeMode: "any"` to search every option for that part.

**Can I get phone numbers?**
Set `includePhones` to true when you have a lawful basis. They are left out otherwise.

# Actor input Schema

## `includePhones` (type: `boolean`):

Off by default. Include yard phone numbers already published on the public results page only when you have a lawful basis.

## `year` (type: `integer`):

Donor vehicle model year, for example 2018.

## `make` (type: `string`):

Vehicle make, for example Honda. Matched against the live catalog.

## `model` (type: `string`):

Vehicle model, for example Civic. Matched against the live catalog for that year and make.

## `part` (type: `string`):

Part name, for example AC Compressor or Engine. Matched against the live part list.

## `zipCode` (type: `string`):

US ZIP used to rank yards by distance. Example: 10001.

## `sortBy` (type: `string`):

Nearest yards first, or lowest price first.

## `interchangeMode` (type: `string`):

Any searches every matching part for the vehicle. First takes the first interchange option. Match keeps the option whose notes contain interchangeQuery.

## `interchangeQuery` (type: `string`):

Used when interchangeMode is match. Substring of the option notes, for example 1.5L or turbo.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Maximum part rows to save. 0 uses the page cap only. In monitor mode this caps rows charged on a run, not the scan window.

## `maxPages` (type: `integer`):

Result pages to read. Each page is about 20 rows. 0 uses 5 pages.

## `waitSecs` (type: `integer`):

How long to wait while yards fill the live search. The run stops early once the count stops growing.

## `monitorMode` (type: `boolean`):

When scheduled, save and charge only new listings and price drops since the last run. The first run stores a baseline and still returns rows.

## `monitorStoreName` (type: `string`):

Named key-value store that keeps listing prices between runs. Use a distinct name per watch.

## `resetMonitorState` (type: `boolean`):

Clear the stored watch before this run. The run becomes a new baseline.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Leave proxy off. The public search answers without a proxy. Turn a proxy on only if a run is blocked.
