# TrustRadius Database — All Products by Category (`crawlyard/trustradius-database`) Actor

TrustRadius scraper alternative: the whole TrustRadius catalogue by category in one call — product, vendor, TrustRadius rating out of 10, review count and category rank. Pre-collected database, so a full category returns in under a second instead of a live crawl.

## What's an Apify Actor?

Actors are web data automations that power AI and operations. They run on the Apify platform to scrape websites, process data, connect APIs, and automate workflows.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.
Actors are written with capital "A".

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.
The best way to integrate Actors is as follows.

- **AI agents and MCP clients** — the [Apify MCP server](https://docs.apify.com/integrations/mcp.md) at `https://mcp.apify.com` (remote, streamable HTTP, OAuth on first use).
- **Agentic workflows and local Actor development** — [Agent Skills](https://apify.com/.well-known/agent-skills/index.json) with the [Apify CLI](https://docs.apify.com/cli/docs.md): `npm install -g apify-cli`, then `apify login`.
- **JavaScript/TypeScript projects** — the official [JS/TS client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md): `npm install apify-client`.
- **Python projects** — the official [Python client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md): `pip install apify-client`.
- **Any other language** — the [REST API](https://docs.apify.com/api/v2.md).

For usage examples, see the [API](#api) section below.

## TrustRadius Software Database — Ratings & Reviews

A **TrustRadius scraper alternative** that returns the whole TrustRadius catalogue
for a category in one call: product, vendor, TrustRadius rating out of 10, verified
review count and category rank.

Common requests this answers: *TrustRadius scraper*, *TrustRadius API*, *export
TrustRadius reviews to CSV*, *TrustRadius product list*, *TrustRadius ratings by
category*, *B2B software ratings dataset*, *TrustRadius competitor analysis*,
*download TrustRadius data*.

### Why it is faster than a live TrustRadius scraper

Live scrapers crawl trustradius.com on every run — slow, and they break on
anti-bot challenges. This Actor ships a **pre-collected TrustRadius database**
inside the build, so a full category comes back in under a second and never
fails on a challenge.

### Coverage

**35,419 products across 325 categories in total.** Every TrustRadius category, up to the top 400 products per category by TrustRadius
rank. In large categories such as CRM (1,556 products listed) every product with
10 or more verified reviews falls inside that limit. Smaller categories are
complete.

Products with no verified reviews carry no rating on TrustRadius, so `rating` and
`reviewCount` are absent for them — that is the platform's own data, not a
collection gap.

### Input

| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| `category` | TrustRadius category, name or slug (`Project Management` / `project-management`). Empty searches all categories. |
| `search` | Free-text filter over product, vendor and description |
| `minRating` | TrustRadius scores out of 10; keep products at or above this |
| `minReviews` | Drop products with fewer verified reviews |
| `sortBy` | `rank`, `rating` or `reviews` |
| `limit` | `0` returns everything |

### Output

`product`, `vendor`, `category`, `rank`, `rating` (out of 10), `reviewCount`,
`url`, `description`, `categoryProductCount`.

### Pricing

**30-day access pass.** Your first successful run charges a one-time pass; every run for the next 30 days is then free — query the database as often as you like. Nothing is charged if the pass cannot be issued.

### Typical uses

TrustRadius competitive intelligence, B2B software market maps for investors,
vendor shortlists, and tracking rating and review-count movements over time.
Pairs with our [G2 vs TrustRadius vs GetApp rating comparison](https://apify.com/crawlyard/software-ratings-compare).

# Actor input Schema

## `category` (type: `string`):

TrustRadius category, as a name or slug — e.g. "Project Management" or "project-management". Leave empty to search across every category.

## `search` (type: `string`):

Free-text filter on product name, vendor and description.

## `minRating` (type: `integer`):

TrustRadius scores products out of 10. Only products at or above this score are returned.

## `minReviews` (type: `integer`):

Drop products with fewer verified reviews than this.

## `sortBy` (type: `string`):

Ordering of the returned products.

## `limit` (type: `integer`):

Maximum products to return. 0 returns everything (large categories can be thousands of rows).

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "category": "project-management",
  "sortBy": "rank",
  "limit": 100
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `products` (type: `string`):

Matching products with ratings and review counts as JSON.

## `productsCsv` (type: `string`):

Same result set exported as CSV.

# API

You can run this Actor programmatically using our API. Below are code examples in JavaScript, Python, and CLI, as well as the OpenAPI specification and MCP server setup.

## JavaScript example

```javascript
import { ApifyClient } from 'apify-client';
// Initialize the ApifyClient with your Apify API token
// Replace the '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>' with your token
const client = new ApifyClient({
    token: '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>',
});
// Prepare Actor input
const input = {
    "category": "project-management"
};
// Run the Actor and wait for it to finish
const run = await client.actor("crawlyard/trustradius-database").call(input);
// Fetch and print Actor results from the run's dataset (if any)
console.log('Results from dataset');
console.log(`💾 Check your data here: https://console.apify.com/storage/datasets/${run.defaultDatasetId}`);
const { items } = await client.dataset(run.defaultDatasetId).listItems();
items.forEach((item) => {
    console.dir(item);
});
