## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Shopify & WooCommerce Product Scraper + Price & Stock Change Monitor

Export **all products, prices, variants, SKUs, images and stock status** from any **Shopify or WooCommerce** store — then schedule it and get **only what changed**: 📉 price drops, 📈 price increases, ✅ back in stock, ❌ out of stock, 🆕 new products and 🗑️ removed products.

Works on millions of independent online stores. Auto-detects the platform. Uses the stores' own public product feeds — **no login, no proxies, no browser, respects robots.txt**.

### Why this one?

- ✅ **Two platforms, one schema**: Shopify (`/products.json`) and WooCommerce (Store API)
- ✅ **Built-in change detection** — no spreadsheets or diff scripts needed
- ✅ **You pay only for changes** in monitor mode, so watching 50 competitor stores daily costs pennies
- ✅ Variant-level rows (size/color) with their own price, SKU and stock — or one row per product
- ✅ Sale detection: compare-at price, discount %, on-sale flag
- ✅ Filters: keywords, min/max price, on-sale only, in-stock only, Shopify collection URLs

### Who uses it?

- **E-commerce brands** — watch competitors' prices, new launches and sell-outs
- **Resellers & deal hunters** — alerts when products drop in price or come back in stock
- **Agencies & analysts** — catalog exports and assortment/price research for clients
- **Dropshippers** — find what top stores add and remove

### Input examples

**Full catalog export**

```json
{ "storeUrls": ["https://www.allbirds.com", "https://www.nutribullet.com"] }
```

**Daily price-drop & restock alerts for a sale collection** (schedule daily)

```json
{
  "storeUrls": ["https://www.allbirds.com/collections/sale"],
  "onlyChanges": true,
  "changeTypes": ["price_drop", "back_in_stock"],
  "oneRowPerVariant": true,
  "monitorKey": "allbirds-sale"
}
```

The first monitor run saves a baseline (returns nothing unless *Return all products on the first monitor run* is on); later runs return only changes.

### Output example

```json
{
  "platform": "woocommerce",
  "store": "https://www.nutribullet.com",
  "productId": "1039545",
  "title": "nutribullet Cold Press Juicer – Extended warranty",
  "url": "https://www.nutribullet.com/shop/warranty/nutribullet-cold-press-juicer-extended-warranty/",
  "categories": ["Warranty"],
  "sku": "ECOM01732",
  "price": 35.99,
  "compareAtPrice": null,
  "regularPrice": 35.99,
  "onSale": false,
  "currency": "USD",
  "available": true,
  "imageUrl": "https://nbmedia.imgix.net/...png",
  "changeType": "price_drop",
  "previousPrice": 39.99,
  "priceChange": -4.0,
  "priceChangePercent": -10.0,
  "scrapedAt": "2026-11-01T15:50:00+00:00"
}
```

### Notes & limits

- Some stores disable their public product feed or block bots; those are skipped and listed in the `SUMMARY` record. robots.txt rules are always respected.
- Shopify feeds don't include inventory quantities — you get in-stock/out-of-stock per variant.
- WooCommerce rows are per product (variable products show the current price range's lowest price).

### How much does it cost?

**$0.80 per 1,000 product results** (+ $0.00005 per run start). You pay once per product row returned in the dataset. In monitor mode only products that changed since the last run are returned and charged; skipped stores and errors are free. Example: a daily check that finds 25 changes = $0.02.
You set a maximum charge per run, so you never pay more than you allow. Apify's free plan includes monthly credit, enough to try this Actor at no cost.

### FAQ

**Which stores work?**

Any public Shopify store and any WooCommerce store with the standard Store API enabled (most are). Password-protected stores are skipped.

**How do price alerts work?**

Turn on monitor mode and schedule it. Each run returns only products with price drops, price increases, restocks, sell-outs, new or removed items.

**Do I need proxies?**

No. It reads the stores' public product feeds.

**Is it legal?**

It only reads public data that the site or platform publishes openly (no login, no bypassing). You are responsible for using the data in line with applicable laws such as GDPR.

**Something broke or a field is missing?**

Open an issue on the Issues tab; we fix reported problems fast.

# Changelog

This Actor's version history is a separate document: https://apify.com/cuddly_wattle/shopify-woocommerce-price-monitor/changelog.md

# Actor input Schema

## `storeUrls` (type: `array`):

Shopify or WooCommerce storefront URLs, one per line. A Shopify collection URL (…/collections/sale) limits the run to that collection.

## `onlyChanges` (type: `boolean`):

Compare with the previous run (same Monitor key) and return only products that changed. The first run saves a baseline. Schedule it daily or hourly for alerts — you only pay for changes.

## `changeTypes` (type: `array`):

Which changes to return in monitor mode.

## `reportNewOnFirstRun` (type: `boolean`):

If on, the first monitor run returns everything as 'new' (useful to get a full export plus a baseline).

## `monitorKey` (type: `string`):

Separate memory for each watch list.

## `oneRowPerVariant` (type: `boolean`):

Output every size/color variant as its own row with its own price, SKU and stock. Off = one row per product with the lowest price.

## `keywords` (type: `array`):

Keep products whose title, vendor, type, SKU or tags contain any of these words.

## `minPrice` (type: `integer`):

Keep products at or above this price.

## `maxPrice` (type: `integer`):

Keep products at or below this price.

## `onSaleOnly` (type: `boolean`):

On sale only.

## `inStockOnly` (type: `boolean`):

In stock only.

## `maxProductsPerStore` (type: `integer`):

Max products per store.

## `shopifyCurrency` (type: `string`):

Optional. We auto-detect the Shopify store currency; set e.g. 'USD' to force a label.

## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):

Stores in parallel.
