## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

**ATS Job Scraper** is an Apify Actor and job listings API for company job boards on eight applicant-tracking platforms: **Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday, SmartRecruiters, Workable, Recruitee and Personio**. Paste careers-page links, or just company websites, and get one consistent JSON record per job, with **salaries**, locations and remote status.

It reads the public job-board feeds of these platforms, so it is fast and stable: no browser, no proxies, no blocked requests.

> Not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday, SmartRecruiters, Workable, Recruitee or Personio. Their names are used only to describe which public job boards this Actor reads.

### What is it good for?

- **Job boards and aggregators**: fill your board straight from company career pages.
- **Recruiting and talent teams**: see which competitors are hiring for which roles, and where.
- **Sales and RevOps**: hiring is a buying signal, so list the companies hiring for the roles your product serves.
- **Analysts and researchers**: build salary benchmarks and labour-market trends from the pay ranges employers publish.

### Try it in 30 seconds

1. Press **Start**: the input is prefilled with real examples.
2. Open the **Output** tab and download JSON, CSV or Excel.
3. Replace the examples with your own and run again. You pay about **$2.00 per 1,000 jobs**.

#### A taste of the output

| Company | Title | Location | Pay |
|---|---|---|---|
| Anthropic | Finance Systems Engineer, Tax | San Francisco, CA | $205,000 to $270,000 |

The full record has more fields; see the example output further down.

### What can I do with ATS Job Scraper?

- **Job market and hiring-signal data**: track which companies are hiring for what, and where.
- **Competitor and talent intelligence**: watch a list of companies for new roles.
- **Job aggregators and boards**: fill your board from thousands of company career pages.
- **Salary benchmarking**: pay ranges taken from the API where the platform provides them, and parsed from the job text where the employer states them.
- **Lead research**: find companies that are hiring for the roles your product serves.
- **Alerts**: run on a schedule in *new jobs only* mode and get just the newly posted openings.

### Which job-board platforms does it support?

| Platform | A careers link looks like | Pay data |
|---|---|---|
| Greenhouse | `boards.greenhouse.io/<name>` or `job-boards.greenhouse.io/<name>` | Extracted from the job text when stated |
| Lever | `jobs.lever.co/<name>` (EU: `jobs.eu.lever.co/<name>`) | Native pay range when the employer fills it in |
| Ashby | `jobs.ashbyhq.com/<name>` | Native compensation when the employer shows it |
| Workday | `<company>.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/<SiteName>` | Extracted from the job text when stated |
| SmartRecruiters | `careers.smartrecruiters.com/<Name>` | Extracted from the job text when stated |
| Workable | `apply.workable.com/<name>` | Extracted from the job text when stated |
| Recruitee | `<name>.recruitee.com` | Native salary range when published |
| Personio | `<name>.jobs.personio.de` | Extracted from the job text when stated |

Need only one platform? There is a dedicated, single-platform scraper for most of them, see the end of this page.

### How do I scrape job listings from company career pages?

1. Add companies, one per line. Any of these work:
   - A careers link: `https://boards.greenhouse.io/stripe`, `https://jobs.lever.co/palantir`, `https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp`, `https://careers.smartrecruiters.com/BoschGroup`, `https://apply.workable.com/huggingface`, `https://bunq.recruitee.com`, `https://personio.jobs.personio.de`, `https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite`
   - Short form: `greenhouse:stripe`, `lever:palantir`, `ashby:ramp`, `smartrecruiters:BoschGroup`, `workable:huggingface`, `recruitee:bunq`, `personio:personio`, `workday:adobe.wd5/external_experienced`
   - A company website or name: `ramp.com`. The Actor tries the company on seven of the platforms (Workday needs the exact careers link, because its site name cannot be guessed). This works for most companies; if a company is not found, paste its careers link instead.
2. Optionally filter by keywords, location, department, employment type, remote-only or posting date.
3. Run it, then download the data as JSON, CSV or Excel, or read it through the API.

#### Example input

```json
{
  "companies": ["https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp", "greenhouse:stripe", "anthropic.com"],
  "keywords": ["engineer", "data"],
  "locations": ["United States", "Remote"],
  "postedWithinDays": 14,
  "maxJobsTotal": 500
}
```

#### How do I get only new jobs?

Turn on **Only jobs not returned before** and schedule the Actor (hourly, daily, ...). The first run returns everything and saves a baseline; every later run returns only openings that were not returned before for the same company list.

### What data does ATS Job Scraper return?

One record per job:

```json
{
  "id": "greenhouse:anthropic:5357947008",
  "jobId": "5357947008",
  "ats": "greenhouse",
  "companySlug": "anthropic",
  "companyName": "Anthropic",
  "title": "Finance Systems Engineer, Tax",
  "department": "Finance",
  "departments": [
    "Finance"
  ],
  "team": null,
  "location": "San Francisco, CA",
  "locations": [
    "San Francisco, CA",
    "Seattle, WA"
  ],
  "country": null,
  "workplaceType": null,
  "isRemote": null,
  "employmentType": null,
  "employmentTypeRaw": null,
  "postedAt": "2026-08-07T15:01:34Z",
  "updatedAt": "2026-08-21T16:50:38Z",
  "url": "https://job-boards.greenhouse.io/anthropic/jobs/5357947008",
  "applyUrl": "https://job-boards.greenhouse.io/anthropic/jobs/5357947008",
  "salary": {
    "min": 205000.0,
    "max": 270000.0,
    "currency": "USD",
    "interval": "year",
    "source": "description-text"
  },
  "description": "About Anthropic  Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for …",
  "requisitionId": "P-5144",
  "language": "en",
  "matchedBy": "explicit"
}
```

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| `title`, `companyName`, `url`, `applyUrl` | Basics. `companyName` comes from the platform where available (Greenhouse, SmartRecruiters); for Lever and Ashby it is derived from the board name |
| `department`, `departments`, `team` | Department or team as published |
| `location`, `locations`, `country` | Primary location, all locations, and country where the platform provides it |
| `workplaceType` | `remote`, `hybrid` or `onsite` when the platform provides it |
| `isRemote` | `true` if the role is remote, or lists a remote option among its locations |
| `employmentType` | `full_time`, `part_time`, `contract`, `internship`, `temporary` or `other` (original in `employmentTypeRaw`) |
| `postedAt`, `updatedAt` | ISO 8601 UTC. `updatedAt` is only available on Greenhouse |
| `salary` | `min`, `max`, `currency`, `interval` (`year`, `hour`, ...), `summary`, and `source` |
| `description`, `descriptionHtml` | Full job description as text and/or HTML |
| `id`, `ats`, `companySlug`, `matchedBy` | Stable unique id, source platform, board name, and whether you gave an exact link (`explicit`) or a name we matched (`slug-probe`) |

#### How is salary data handled?

- **Ashby, Lever and Recruitee** publish structured pay ranges when the employer fills them in; we pass them through (`salary.source = "api"`).
- **Greenhouse, Workday, SmartRecruiters, Workable and Personio** do not include a pay field in the public endpoints this Actor uses. When the employer states a range in the job text (common for US, UK and EU roles), we extract it (`salary.source = "description-text"`). In our checks on large US employers, roughly half of Greenhouse ads carried a stated range.
- We only return a value when a currency, a range and a pay-related keyword are all present, and we leave it empty instead of guessing.
- Values are exactly what the employer published. If a yearly range looks like it was typed without the "K" (for example 230 to 350), the record carries `"suspect": true`.

### How much does it cost to scrape job listings?

You pay per job returned: **$0.002 per job, about $2.00 per 1,000 jobs**, plus a tiny fixed fee per run. Apify bills the platform usage of the run (compute) on top, which is normally a small fraction of the per-job price. **Max jobs in total** is a hard cap on the cost of a run, and the run also stops if it reaches the maximum charge you set in the run options. The Pricing tab always shows the current rate.

### Can I use ATS Job Scraper through the API?

Yes. Like every Apify Actor it can be started from code, scheduled in the Apify Console, or connected to Make, Zapier, n8n, Google Sheets and webhooks through Apify integrations.

**Python**

```python
from apify_client import ApifyClient
client = ApifyClient("<YOUR_API_TOKEN>")
run_input = {
    "companies": [
        "greenhouse:stripe",
        "https://jobs.lever.co/palantir",
    ],
    "keywords": [
        "engineer"
    ],
    "maxJobsTotal": 25
}
run = client.actor("cyborg_cell/ats-job-listings-api").call(run_input=run_input)
for item in client.dataset(run["defaultDatasetId"]).iterate_items():
    print(item)
```

**JavaScript**

```javascript
import { ApifyClient } from 'apify-client';
const client = new ApifyClient({ token: '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>' });
### FAQ
#### Is it legal to scrape ATS job boards?
This Actor reads the public job-postings APIs that these platforms provide so that companies can publish their own openings. It does not log in to anything, bypass any protection or collect candidate or other personal data, and it sends modest, rate-limited requests. Laws and website terms differ by country and by use, so you are responsible for how you use the data and for complying with the terms of the sources. This is not legal advice.
#### Do I need proxies or a browser?
No. The data comes from public endpoints, so there is nothing to unblock and no browser to run.
#### How does matching a company name or website work?
Name matching (`ramp.com`) guesses the board name and tries the platforms in the order above, so it can occasionally match a different company with the same name on a smaller platform. For a company with an unusual board name, paste its careers link for an exact match. Companies that do not use one of the eight platforms are not covered.
#### Are there platform-specific limits?
- Greenhouse does not publish employment type, workplace type or country, so those fields are empty for Greenhouse jobs.
- SmartRecruiters descriptions need one extra request per job; filters are applied first so only the jobs you keep are fetched.
- Workable posting dates are dates without a time (midnight UTC), and `isRemote` is only set when Workable marks the job as remote.
- Recruitee career sites on a custom domain (for example `careers.bunq.com`) cannot be traced back to the company; use `recruitee:<name>` or the `<name>.recruitee.com` link.
- **Workday** career sites need the exact link (for example `https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite`). By default each job's detail record is read too (exact location, date and description); turn on **Fast mode** to skip that on big employers. A Workday search returns at most 2,000 results, so use keywords to go deeper.
#### A company should work but does not. What now?
Open an issue on the Actor page with the company link and we will look at it.
# Actor input Schema
## `companies` (type: `array`):
One per line. Use a careers-page link (https://boards.greenhouse.io/stripe, https://jobs.lever.co/palantir, https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp, https://careers.smartrecruiters.com/BoschGroup, https://apply.workable.com/huggingface, https://bunq.recruitee.com, https://personio.jobs.personio.de), the short form `greenhouse:stripe` / `lever:palantir` / `ashby:ramp` / `smartrecruiters:BoschGroup` / `workable:huggingface` / `recruitee:bunq` / `personio:personio`, or just a company website or name (e.g. `ramp.com`). For a plain website or name the Actor guesses the board on every platform; links give exact results. Workday boards need the exact careers link, for example https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite (or the short form `workday:adobe.wd5/external_experienced`).
## `keywords` (type: `array`):
Keep only jobs whose title contains ANY of these words (case-insensitive). Leave empty for all jobs.
## `excludeKeywords` (type: `array`):
Drop jobs whose title contains any of these words (e.g. intern, director).
## `keywordsInDescription` (type: `boolean`):
Match the keywords above against the full job description as well as the title. Slower on SmartRecruiters (one extra request per job).
## `locations` (type: `array`):
Keep only jobs located in ANY of these places. Matches city, state, country or region text (e.g. `Berlin`, `United States`, `Remote`).
## `remoteOnly` (type: `boolean`):
Keep only jobs the company marks as fully remote.
## `departments` (type: `array`):
Keep only jobs whose department or team contains ANY of these words (e.g. `Engineering`, `Sales`).
## `employmentTypes` (type: `array`):
Allowed values: full_time, part_time, contract, internship, temporary. Greenhouse does not publish this field, so Greenhouse jobs are dropped when this filter is used.
## `postedWithinDays` (type: `integer`):
Keep only recently posted jobs. Jobs without a posting date are kept.
## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):
Add the full job description to every result.
## `descriptionFormat` (type: `string`):
Plain text, original HTML, or both.
## `newJobsOnly` (type: `boolean`):
Monitoring mode. Returns only jobs that were not returned by a previous run with the same company list, so scheduled runs give you just the new openings. The first run returns everything and sets the baseline.
## `stateKey` (type: `string`):
Name to keep separate 'already seen' lists when you run several monitors. If empty, it is derived from the company list.
## `maxJobsPerCompany` (type: `integer`):
Cap on matching jobs returned for each company.
## `maxJobsTotal` (type: `integer`):
Hard cap on results for the whole run. You are charged per job returned, so this is your cost ceiling.
## `atsPlatforms` (type: `array`):
Only used when you give a company website or name instead of a careers link. Allowed: greenhouse, lever, ashby, smartrecruiters, workable, recruitee, personio. Empty = all.
## `fastMode` (type: `boolean`):
Workday only. Skips the per-job detail request: much faster on big employers, but locations are often shown as '2 Locations', dates are approximate and descriptions are not included.
## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):
How many requests run at once. Keep the default unless you have thousands of companies.
```

# Actor output Schema

## `jobs` (type: `string`):

One record per job: title, company, location, salary, link and description.

## `summary` (type: `string`):

How many companies were fetched, how many jobs matched, and the reason for any company that failed.
