# Crawled - Currently Not Indexed Fixer (GSC Indexing Diagnosis) (`cygnix_labs/indexing-fix-planner`) Actor

Why won't Google index my pages? Paste your Search Console not-indexed URLs: per-URL cause (404, noindex vs sitemap, canonical, near-duplicate, thin, JS-empty, orphan, weak links, low-value URL) + fix, in priority order. $0.004 per URL.

## Pricing

$4.00 / 1,000 url diagnoseds

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Crawled - Currently Not Indexed Fixer

**Why won't Google index my pages?** Search Console's Page indexing report lists URLs as "Crawled - currently not indexed" or "Discovered - currently not indexed" but never says why. This Actor checks every URL and gives one primary cause and a concrete fix, in priority order.

### What it checks per URL

- HTTP status, timeouts and redirect chains
- `noindex` (meta robots or X-Robots-Tag) and **noindex-in-sitemap conflicts**
- Canonical pointing elsewhere
- **Near-duplicate text** against your other URLs and hub pages (5-word shingles)
- **Thin content** and **JavaScript-only pages** (little raw text, many scripts)
- **Orphan pages and weak internal linking** (homepage + sampled hub pages)
- Sitemap membership (robots.txt Sitemap lines, sitemap indexes)
- Low-value URL types: parameters, tags, pagination, feeds, utility pages
- Duplicate titles

### How to use

1. Search Console > Indexing > Pages > click **Crawled - currently not indexed** > Export > CSV.
2. Paste the URLs (or the whole CSV) into the input. One site per run.
3. Open the **Fix plan** table (P1 first), or the `REPORT` record in the key-value store for a Markdown report.

### Output (one row per URL)

`priority`, `url`, `primaryCause`, `action`, `fix`, `otherCauses`, `httpStatus`, `finalUrl`, `inSitemap`, `internalLinksFound`, `linkedFrom`, `words`, `title`, `h1`, `canonical`, `noindex`, `schemaTypes`.

### Pricing

Pay per event: **$0.004 per URL diagnosed**. Hub-page sampling and sitemap reads are free. 250 URLs cost $1.

### Fair use

Only public HTML is fetched, robots.txt is respected, requests are spaced (0.5 s default) and the crawler identifies itself. It never logs in and never queries Google. Check your own or clients' sites.

### Limits

Google doesn't publish exact reasons; `QUALITY_UNCLEAR` means no technical blocker was found. Internal links are counted from a sample, not a full crawl.

Also available as an AI agent skill (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor) on Agensi: Indexing Fix Planner. Built by Cygnix Labs.

# Actor input Schema

## `urls` (type: `array`):

URLs from Search Console > Indexing > Pages > 'Crawled - currently not indexed' (or any reason). One site per run.

## `csvText` (type: `string`):

Paste the contents of the exported Table.csv; every http(s) URL in it is checked.

## `homepage` (type: `string`):

Used for sitemap and internal-link sampling. Defaults to the URLs' host.

## `maxUrls` (type: `integer`):

Each diagnosed URL is one charged event.

## `hubPages` (type: `integer`):

Homepage links fetched (free) to count internal links to each URL.

## `thinWords` (type: `integer`):

Pages with less main text than this are flagged THIN.

## `delaySecs` (type: `number`):

Polite crawling; robots.txt crawl-delay wins if higher.

    ]
};

// Run the Actor and wait for it to finish
const run = await client.actor("cygnix_labs/indexing-fix-planner").call(input);

// Fetch and print Actor results from the run's dataset (if any)
console.log('Results from dataset');
