## Pricing

from $1.50 / 1,000 results

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

Actors are web data automations that power AI and operations. They run on the Apify platform to scrape websites, process data, connect APIs, and automate workflows.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.
Actors are written with capital "A".

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.
The best way to integrate Actors is as follows.

- **AI agents and MCP clients** — the [Apify MCP server](https://docs.apify.com/integrations/mcp.md) at `https://mcp.apify.com` (remote, streamable HTTP, OAuth on first use).
- **Agentic workflows and local Actor development** — [Agent Skills](https://apify.com/.well-known/agent-skills/index.json) with the [Apify CLI](https://docs.apify.com/cli/docs.md): `npm install -g apify-cli`, then `apify login`.
- **JavaScript/TypeScript projects** — the official [JS/TS client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md): `npm install apify-client`.
- **Python projects** — the official [Python client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md): `pip install apify-client`.
- **Any other language** — the [REST API](https://docs.apify.com/api/v2.md).

For usage examples, see the [API](#api) section below.

## SGX Announcements Watcher — Singapore Exchange Filings

Monitor **SGX company announcements** — every filing on the Singapore Exchange, extracted with date, issuer, title and the direct PDF link. Browser-based extraction that gets past SGX's bot protection. Filter by issuer and date range.

### What it does

Listed companies on the Singapore Exchange must publish price-sensitive information as announcements: earnings, disclosures of interest, buy-backs, catalyst events. Each announcement links to a PDF on links.sgx.com.

SGX's underlying JSON API sits behind Akamai bot protection and rejects datacenter traffic outright. This Actor loads the official announcements page in a real headless browser through proxy, waits for the SPA to render, and extracts the rows — so you get the same filings a trader sees in the browser.

### Features

- **Real browser extraction** — survives SGX's anti-bot stack that blocks plain HTTP clients.
- **Direct PDF links** — every record carries its links.sgx.com document URL.
- **Issuer filter** — watch a single company or a watchlist substring (e.g. `DBS`).
- **Date-range aware** — pull the last N days of filings, 1–30.
- **Proxy by default** — ships configured for Apify proxy groups; override with your own.
- **Clean, flat records** — date, issuer, title, PDF URL. Nothing else.

### What people use it for

- Compliance monitoring — get every filing for companies you are invested in or advise on.
- Event-driven research — catch catalysts (buy-backs, placements, CEO changes) as they are filed.
- NLP pipelines — feed announcement titles + PDFs into summarisation or alerting systems.
- IR and media monitoring — track what listed companies in a sector are disclosing.
- Audit trails — archive who announced what, when, with source URLs.

### Why a browser instead of the API

The SGX website renders announcements client-side and fetches them from an API that sits behind Akamai's bot manager. Requests without a real browser fingerprint are denied at the edge — regardless of tokens or headers. Rather than fight the WAF, this Actor runs Playwright through a proxy, which is exactly how a human sees the page.

#### Practical tips

- Give the Actor **at least 2 GB RAM** — Chromium inside the container needs it.
- Keep `daysBack` short for scheduled monitoring; widen it only for backfills.
- `issuerFilter` matches substrings, so `bank` catches several issuers at once.
- Announcement titles carry SGX's category prefix split by `::` — split on it if you want category and headline separately.

### Input

`daysBack` controls the window (1–30 days). Set `issuerFilter` to a case-insensitive substring to watch specific companies. Raise memory to 2 GB+ if you increase `maxItems` — the browser needs headroom.

| Field | Type | Default | What it does |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `daysBack` | integer | `2` | How many days of announcements to fetch (1-30). Range 1–30. |
| `issuerFilter` | string | — | Only return announcements whose issuer name contains this text (case-insensitive). Leave empty for all issuers. |
| `maxItems` | integer | `200` | Maximum number of announcements to return. Range 1–5000. |
| `proxy` | object | `{"useApifyProxy": true, "groups": ["BUYPROXIES94952", "StaticUS3"]}` | Proxy settings. SGX blocks datacenter IPs, so a proxy is required. Defaults to Apify BUYPROXIES94952 / StaticUS3 groups. |

#### Input example

```json
{
  "daysBack": 2,
  "maxItems": 200,
  "proxy": {
    "useApifyProxy": true,
    "groups": [
      "BUYPROXIES94952",
      "StaticUS3"
    ]
  }
}
```

### Output

One record per announcement: `ann_date`, `issuer`, `title` and `pdf_url`. Titles include the SGX category prefix (e.g. `General Announcement::…`, `Coupon Payment::Mandatory`).

Every dataset record contains: `pdf_url`.

Export the dataset as JSON, CSV, Excel, XML or JSONL from the Console, or pull it programmatically through the Apify API and any of the official clients.

### How to use it

1. Click **Try for free** (or **Start** if you already have an Apify account).
2. Fill in the input fields described above — the defaults already produce a working run.
3. Press **Start** and watch the log; results stream into the dataset as they are found.
4. When the run finishes, open the **Output/Storage** tab and export as JSON, CSV or Excel.

Runs can be scheduled (hourly, daily, weekly) and wired into Slack, Google Sheets, Zapier, Make, webhooks or your own backend through Apify integrations. Everything the Console does is also available over the [Apify API](https://docs.apify.com/api/v2).

### FAQ

#### Why do I need a proxy for SGX?

SGX denies non-browser traffic from datacenter IPs at the CDN level. A proxy with clean IPs lets the headless browser through reliably.

#### Does it download the PDFs?

It returns the direct links.sgx.com URL for each filing. Feed those URLs to any downloader if you need the documents themselves.

#### Which filings are covered?

Everything on the public company-announcements page: general announcements, disclosures of interest, buy-backs, coupon payments, AGM minutes and more.

#### How fresh is the data?

As fresh as the live page — schedule runs every few minutes for near-real-time monitoring.

#### What memory should I allocate?

2 GB or more. The headless browser is the bulk of the footprint.
