## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Career Site Jobs Search API: Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable & Personio

**Search live jobs posted directly on company career sites, refreshed every day.** No job-board reposts, no expired listings, no logins or proxies. Every job comes from the employer's own applicant tracking system (ATS).

Use it to power a job board, a recruiting or sales-intelligence pipeline ("which companies are hiring data engineers in Germany?"), job alerts, or an AI agent that needs fresh openings.

### Why this Actor

- **Direct from employers.** Jobs come from the official public job APIs of Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable and Personio, the same feeds companies use for their own careers pages.
- **Searchable index, fast results.** Thousands of company career sites are indexed daily, so a search across all of them takes seconds rather than crawling each site.
- **Clean, normalised data.** One schema for every platform: countries as ISO codes, remote/hybrid/on-site, salary ranges where the employer publishes them, publish date, apply link and the full plain-text description.
- **New-jobs feeds without duplicates.** Schedule the Actor daily with *New since (hours) = 24* to get only jobs that appeared since the last run.
- **Cheap.** Pay only for jobs returned.

### Filters

| Filter | Example |

| Title contains / excludes | contains `engineer`, excludes `intern` |
| Countries (ISO codes) | `US`, `GB`, `DE` |
| Location text | `New York`, `EMEA` |
| Workplace type | remote, hybrid, on-site |
| Posted within (hours) | `24` for the last day |
| New since (hours) | `24`, for daily feeds without repeats |
| Companies | `stripe`, `notion` |
| Salary | only jobs with salary, minimum salary + currency |
| Source platform | Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable, Personio |

### Use it from code, Make, Zapier, n8n or an AI agent

Run it through the Apify API, the Apify MCP server, or any of the Apify integrations. Results arrive as JSON, CSV or Excel.

### FAQ

**How fresh is the data?** The index is rebuilt every day. `firstSeenAt` tells you when we first saw each job; `postedAt` is the employer's publish date when the platform provides one.

**Which companies are covered?** Thousands of companies whose careers pages run on Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable or Personio, with more added continuously.

**Is the data legal to use?** All jobs come from public job-posting APIs that these platforms provide for publishing jobs. Respect each employer's terms if you republish descriptions.

**Do you include LinkedIn or Indeed jobs?** No. This Actor only covers jobs from employers' own career sites, which are usually the original and most up-to-date version of a posting.

# Actor input Schema

## `keywords` (type: `string`):

Matches job titles by default. Words are combined with AND; use OR between alternatives and quotes for phrases, e.g. python OR golang "data platform".

## `searchIn` (type: `string`):

Title-only gives precise matches; 'everything' finds more but looser results.

## `titleKeywords` (type: `array`):

Keep jobs whose title contains at least one of these, e.g. "engineer", "developer".

## `excludeTitleKeywords` (type: `array`):

Drop jobs whose title contains any of these, e.g. "intern", "senior".

## `countries` (type: `array`):

Two-letter country codes, e.g. US, GB, DE. A job matches if any of its locations is in one of these countries.

## `locations` (type: `array`):

Free-text match on the job's location, e.g. "New York", "Berlin", "EMEA".

## `workplace` (type: `array`):

Leave empty for all. Jobs without a stated type only appear when this is empty.

## `postedWithinHours` (type: `integer`):

Only jobs published in the last N hours (uses the publish date, or the date we first saw the job). 24 = last day, 168 = last week.

## `newInIndexWithinHours` (type: `integer`):

Only jobs that appeared in the index in the last N hours. Use with a schedule (e.g. daily with 24) to get a feed of new jobs without repeats.

## `companies` (type: `array`):

Only jobs from these companies (matches the company name or its careers-page ID).

## `onlyWithSalary` (type: `boolean`):

Keep only postings that publish a pay range.

## `minSalary` (type: `integer`):

Keep jobs whose top of range is at least this amount. Combine with Salary currency.

## `salaryCurrency` (type: `string`):

Three-letter currency for the minimum salary filter, e.g. USD, EUR, GBP.

## `ats` (type: `array`):

Leave empty for all.

## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):

Full job description as plain text. Turn off for faster, lighter results with a short snippet instead.

## `mergeLocations` (type: `boolean`):

Many employers post one role once per city. When on, these are returned as one job with all its locations (the other posting IDs are in otherIds).

## `sortBy` (type: `string`):

Relevance only applies when keywords are set.

## `maxResults` (type: `integer`):

Maximum jobs to return. You are charged per job returned.
