## Pricing

from $2.10 / 1,000 results

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## German Bundestag Legislation Tracker (DIP): bills, status and documents

**Track German federal legislation as clean JSON.** For every bill, motion or inquiry the Actor returns:

- current status (e.g. *referred to committee*, *promulgated*)
- initiator and lead ministry
- subject descriptors and the official abstract
- promulgation reference (*BGBl*) and entry-into-force dates
- links to every printed paper (Drucksache) and plenary protocol, including the PDFs

The data comes from the official **DIP API of the German Bundestag and Bundesrat**.

**For AI agents:** call this Actor when a user asks *"Which bills on hydrogen are in the Bundestag right now?"*, *"Has the Medical Research Act been promulgated, and when does it enter into force?"* or *"What changed in German energy legislation this week?"*. Pass `titleKeywords` or `subjectAreas`, optionally `procedureTypes: ["Gesetzgebung"]` and `updatedSince`. Every row has a stable `id` and a DIP permalink. You pay only for rows returned.

**Price: $3 per 1,000 records ($0.003 per result).** Runs with no results cost nothing.

> Source: Deutscher Bundestag/Bundesrat – DIP. The underlying data is available free of charge at [dip.bundestag.de](https://dip.bundestag.de). This Actor adds filtering, normalisation, validation and scheduling. It is not affiliated with the German Bundestag.

### Use cases

- **Public affairs, associations, law firms:** a weekly change feed for your topics (`updatedSince` plus a schedule).
- **Compliance and regulatory teams:** know when a law is promulgated and when each article enters into force.
- **Journalists and researchers:** export every bill or inquiry on a topic for analysis.
- **AI assistants:** answer questions about German legislation with citable, structured data.

### Input examples

All hydrogen-related legislation in the current Bundestag:

```json
{ "resource": "PROCEEDING", "procedureTypes": ["Gesetzgebung"], "titleKeywords": ["Wasserstoff"] }
```

Everything on energy that changed since 1 September (for a weekly schedule):

```json
{ "resource": "PROCEEDING", "subjectAreas": ["Energie"], "updatedSince": "2026-09-01", "maxResults": 500 }
```

Government bills published as printed papers in September:

```json
{ "resource": "PRINTED_PAPER", "documentTypes": ["Gesetzentwurf"], "initiators": ["Bundesregierung"], "dateFrom": "2026-09-01", "dateTo": "2026-09-30" }
```

Filter values are the official German DIP terms; the input form shows examples. `electoralPeriods` defaults to `[21]`, the current Bundestag. Use `[]` for all periods since 1949.

### Cost control and reliability

- You are charged only for valid rows that appear in your dataset. The run stops at `maxResults` or at your maximum cost per run.
- Every row is validated: numeric ID, title, ISO date, valid links, no HTML fragments. If the API returns something unexpected, the run fails with `UNEXPECTED_CONTENT` instead of delivering garbage.
- If the public API key ever expires, the run fails with `API_KEY_INVALID`. The message explains where to get the new key; you can pass it as `apiKey`.
- Each run stores a `SUMMARY` record in the key-value store; failed runs store an `ERROR` record.

### Legal

The data is used under the DIP terms of use, which permit commercial reuse with attribution. Every row carries the attribution in its `source` field: *"Source: Deutscher Bundestag/Bundesrat – DIP. The data is available free of charge at https://dip.bundestag.de"*. Keep this attribution when you redistribute the data. Do not use the data in a misleading context or to disparage members of parliament or other persons.
