## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Arbeitsagentur Jobs Scraper — German Federal Job Board

Scrape job listings from **Arbeitsagentur.de** (Bundesagentur für Arbeit) — Germany's official and largest job database — via the jobsuche API. No browser, no CAPTCHAs, fast and cheap.

### What you get

Each job listing yields a clean JSON item:

- **title**, **company**, **profession** + all listed professions
- **location** (street, postal code, city, region, country) + **coordinates** + distance from your search point
- **publishedAt**, **firstPublishedAt**, **modifiedAt**, entry/start date
- **contractType**, **workingTimeModels** (full-time, part-time, shift, remote, minijob)
- **remote** flag + remote type, **careerChangeOk**
- **salary** object `{amount, kind, period}` when the employer disclosed pay
- **refnr**, direct **url**, **employerLogoUrl**, external application link
- Optional with *fetchDetails*: full **description**, **requirements**, **benefits**, **contact/bewerbung info**

#### Bonus: `companies` dataset

Every run also produces a per-company lead list — who is hiring, how many open jobs, in which cities, how many are remote. Recruiters and lead-gen agencies use this directly as an outreach target list.

### Input

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| `was` | Keywords / job title (e.g. `Softwareentwickler`, `Krankenpfleger`) |
| `wo` | City or region (e.g. `Berlin`, `München`) — empty = all of Germany |
| `umkreis` | Radius in km around the location (0–200) |
| `maxItems` | Max listings to return |
| `angebotsart` | Jobs / apprenticeship / internship / self-employment |
| `arbeitszeit` | Filter: full-time, part-time, shift, remote, minijob |
| `befristung` | Fixed-term vs permanent |
| `veroeffentlichtseit` | Only jobs published in the last N days |
| `zeitarbeit`, `pav` | Tri-state: all / only / exclude temp & private agencies |
| `fetchDetails` | Enrich every job with full description + contact data |
| `maxDetails` | Cap on detail fetches |
| `includeCompanySummary` | Emit the per-company lead list dataset |

### Example

Find the 500 newest remote developer jobs in Germany published in the last 30 days:

```json
{
    "was": "entwickler",
    "wo": "",
    "arbeitszeit": ["ho"],
    "veroeffentlichtseit": 30,
    "maxItems": 500,
    "fetchDetails": true
}
```

### Use cases

- **Recruiters**: daily lead lists — companies actively hiring in your niche/region
- **Job boards & aggregators**: fill your database with German jobs
- **HR analytics**: hiring trends, salary data, skill demand by region
- **Lead-gen agencies**: hiring companies = warm outreach targets

### Notes

- Data source is the public jobsuche API of the Bundesagentur für Arbeit — the same data shown on arbeitsagentur.de/jobsuche.
- \~700K+ live listings; scheduled runs + `veroeffentlichtseit` give you a daily "new jobs" feed.
- Combine with a company-data actor (e.g. Handelsregister) for full lead enrichment.

# Actor input Schema

## `was` (type: `string`):

Free-text job title or keywords, e.g. "Softwareentwickler", "Krankenpfleger". Leave empty for all jobs.

## `wo` (type: `string`):

City or region in Germany, e.g. "Berlin", "München". Leave empty for all of Germany.

## `umkreis` (type: `integer`):

Search radius in kilometers around the location. Only used when a location is set.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Maximum number of job listings to return.

## `angebotsart` (type: `string`):

Type of listing to scrape.

## `arbeitszeit` (type: `array`):

Filter by working time model. Leave empty for all.

## `befristung` (type: `string`):

Fixed-term or permanent contracts.

## `veroeffentlichtseit` (type: `integer`):

Only jobs published in the last N days (0-100). 0 = today only. Leave empty for any age.

## `zeitarbeit` (type: `string`):

Filter jobs by temp staffing agencies (Zeitarbeit).

## `pav` (type: `string`):

Filter jobs by private recruitment agencies (private Arbeitsvermittlung).

## `fetchDetails` (type: `boolean`):

Fetch the detail page for every job: full description, requirements, benefits, contact info. Slower and costs more, but much richer data.

## `maxDetails` (type: `integer`):

Cap on how many jobs get full details (when fetchDetails is on). The rest keep summary data only.

## `includeCompanySummary` (type: `boolean`):

Also produce a 'companies' dataset: per-company summary of who is hiring, how many jobs, and where — a recruiter-ready lead list.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "umkreis": 25,
  "maxItems": 100,
  "angebotsart": "1",
  "arbeitszeit": [],
  "befristung": "",
  "zeitarbeit": "",
  "pav": "",
  "fetchDetails": false,
  "maxDetails": 200,
  "includeCompanySummary": true
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `jobs` (type: `string`):

One JSON item per job listing (title, company, location, salary, remote flag, links).

## `companies` (type: `string`):

Aggregated hiring companies with job counts and locations — pushed to the 'companies' named dataset when enabled.
