## Pricing

from $0.75 / 1,000 products

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Coles Scraper - Prices, Specials & Unit Prices (Australia)

Scrape **Coles (coles.com.au) product search results**: name, brand, size, **price and was price**, special and promotion, **unit price** ("$1.65 / 1L"), availability, category and aisle, image and link.

### Why this one

- **Specials in one switch.** Turn on "Specials only" to get every discounted product for your keywords.
- **Unit prices as numbers.** `unitPrice` plus the label Coles shows, for fair comparisons across sizes.
- **Was price and saving** on every discounted row.
- **Reliable.** Runs use Australian residential IPs, which Coles serves normally. No browser.
- **You only pay for products.** Failed searches are listed in `RUN_SUMMARY` and cost nothing.

### Input

| Field | Example |
|---|---|
| Searches | `milk`, `coffee`, `dishwasher tablets` |
| Specials only | on/off |
| Max products per search | `200` |

Every field is optional except **Searches**.

### Output

One row per product. Example:

```json
{
    "source": "coles",
    "id": "7018853",
    "title": "KitKat Mini Milk Chocolate Share Pack 11 Pieces",
    "name": "Mini Milk Chocolate Share Pack 11 Pieces",
    "brand": "KitKat",
    "size": "154g",
    "price": 3.75,
    "wasPrice": 7.5,
    "currency": "AUD",
    "onSpecial": true,
    "promotion": "SPECIAL",
    "saving": 3.75,
    "offer": "save $3.75",
    "unitPrice": 2.44,
    "unitPriceText": "$2.44/ 100g",
    "unitMeasure": "100g",
    "available": true,
    "category": "Chocolates",
    "aisle": "Chocolate Multipacks",
    "department": "Chips, Chocolates & Snacks",
    "image": "https://productimages.coles.com.au/productimages/7/7018853.jpg",
    "url": "https://www.coles.com.au/product/kitkat-mini-milk-chocolate-share-pack-11-pieces-154g-7018853",
    "searchQuery": "milk"
}
```

Each row also has `searchQuery`: the search that found it. A summary of the run (products per search, the site's total
for each search, and any searches that failed) is saved as `RUN_SUMMARY` in the key-value store.

Export to JSON, CSV, Excel or HTML from the Output tab, or use the API.

### Use cases

- **Grocery price monitoring** and inflation tracking.
- **Specials alerts:** run weekly with "Specials only".
- **Brand and category research** for FMCG suppliers.

### Pricing

Pay per product. See the Pricing tab. Searches that fail are free.

### Good to know

- Prices are Coles online prices; individual stores can differ.
- Coles has no sort option in its search, so results come in Coles' own order.
- Need Woolworths or ALDI too? See the Related Actors below.
- This Actor reads public pages only. It does not log in and does not collect personal data about job seekers or shoppers.
