## Pricing

from $1.00 / 1,000 jobs

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Wellfound (AngelList) Startup Jobs Scraper

Scrape **startup jobs from Wellfound** (formerly AngelList Talent) by **role**, **city** or **remote**: title, company, company size and stage, **salary range and equity**, experience, job type and the **full description**, all in one row.

### Why this one

- **Salary and equity split out.** "$140k – $160k • 0.1% – 0.5%" becomes `salaryMin`, `salaryMax`, `salaryCurrency` and `equity`.
- **Company context in every row.** Startup name, tagline, size, stage (seed, growth...) and badges.
- **Full descriptions included** at no extra cost.
- **Role + city or remote.** The same pages job seekers browse, without logging in.
- **You only pay for jobs.** Failed searches are listed in `RUN_SUMMARY` and cost nothing.

### Input

| Field | Example |
|---|---|
| Searches (roles) | `software-engineer`, `data-scientist`, `product-manager` |
| Location | `San Francisco`, `New York`, `London` |
| Remote only | on/off |

Every field is optional except **Searches**.

### Output

One row per job. Example:

```json
{
    "source": "wellfound",
    "id": "4869744",
    "title": "Data Scientist",
    "role": "Data Scientist",
    "company": "Topsort",
    "companyTagline": "Democratizing Big Tech’s Monetization Secrets into Profitable and Simple Ad Infrastructure",
    "companySize": "51-200",
    "companyStage": "Growth Stage",
    "companyBadges": [
        "Actively Hiring",
        "Responds within two weeks",
        "B2B",
        "Growth Stage",
        "Top Investors"
    ],
    "locations": [
        "Boston",
        "Santiago",
        "Somerville",
        "Santiago"
    ],
    "remote": false,
    "remoteLocations": null,
    "jobType": "full-time",
    "salary": "$30k – $70k",
    "salaryMin": 30000,
    "searchQuery": "software-engineer"
}
```

Each row also has `searchQuery`: the search that found it. A summary of the run (jobs per search, the site's total
for each search, and any searches that failed) is saved as `RUN_SUMMARY` in the key-value store.

Export to JSON, CSV, Excel or HTML from the Output tab, or use the API.

### Use cases

- **Startup salary and equity research** by role and city.
- **Sales and recruiting:** find funded startups that are actively hiring.
- **Job alerts** for remote startup roles.

### Pricing

Pay per job. See the Pricing tab. Searches that fail are free.

### Good to know

- Searches are Wellfound **roles**, not free text. A role that has no Wellfound page is reported in `RUN_SUMMARY` and costs nothing. Common roles: software-engineer, frontend-engineer, backend-engineer, full-stack-engineer, data-scientist, data-engineer, machine-learning-engineer, product-manager, designer, marketing, sales, operations.
- Each page lists 20 startups and their open jobs, so the number of jobs per page varies.
- This Actor reads public pages only. It does not log in and does not collect personal data about job seekers or shoppers.
