## Pricing

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Shopify Products Scraper API + AI Tagging

**Shopify Products Scraper at a glance:** data from the store's public Shopify `products.json` catalog feed · no login, no browser, no proxies · **$1 per 1,000 products** · optional AI with your own key · JSON, CSV, Excel export, API and MCP ready

### What does the Shopify Products Scraper do?

Scrape **every product from any Shopify store**: titles, prices, **compare-at prices and discounts**, variants, SKUs, stock status, images, tags, vendors and product types. Turn on the optional **AI tagging** to add a Google product category, attributes, target audience, SEO keywords and an **SEO score with tips** for each product.

The Actor uses the store's **public `products.json` catalog feed**, which Shopify serves on every storefront. There is no browser, so it is very fast and cheap.

### Why this Shopify scraper?

- **Any Shopify store**: paste a store URL or a collection URL
- **Full catalog**: paginates through thousands of products
- **Price intelligence**: `priceMin`, `priceMax`, `compareAtMax`, `discountPct` and `onSale` on every product
- **Filters**: only in stock, only on sale, one collection
- **AI enrichment**: category taxonomy, attributes, keywords and SEO scoring, using your own LLM key
- **Polite by default**: built-in request delay and graceful handling of stores that disable the feed

### Use cases

- **Competitor price monitoring** and discount tracking
- **Product research** for dropshipping and e-commerce
- **Catalog migration** or feed creation (Google Shopping, Meta catalogs)
- **SEO audits** of product titles and descriptions at scale
- **Market analysis** of assortments, vendors and price ranges across many brands

### How to use the Shopify Products Scraper

1. Click **Try for free** (or **Start**) on this page and sign in to Apify.
2. Paste one or more Shopify store URLs or collection URLs.
3. Optionally keep only in-stock or on-sale products and set a maximum per store.
4. Optionally enable AI tagging and paste your OpenAI or OpenRouter key.
5. Click **Start**, then download results as JSON, CSV or Excel, or fetch them via the API.

### Input

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| `storeUrls` | Store URLs (`https://www.allbirds.com`) or collection URLs (`https://store.com/collections/sale`) |
| `collectionHandle` | Optional: scrape just one collection on every store |
| `onlyAvailable` / `onlyOnSale` | Filters |
| `includeVariants` / `includeDescription` | Control the output size |
| `maxProductsPerStore` / `maxProductsTotal` | Limits (default 1,000 / 10,000) |
| `delayMs` | Delay between requests (default 500 ms) |
| `enableAi`, `llmProvider`, `llmApiKey`, `llmModel` | Optional AI tagging with your own key |

```json
{ "storeUrls": ["https://www.allbirds.com"], "onlyOnSale": false, "maxProductsPerStore": 500 }
```

With AI turned on, each product also gets an `ai` object: `category`, `attributes`, `targetAudience`, `keywords[]`, `seoScore`, `seoTips[]` and `summary`.

### How much does it cost?

This Actor uses **pay per event** pricing: you pay only for results saved to your dataset, with no monthly fee. Apify platform compute is included.

| Event | Price |
|---|---|
| Product scraped | **$0.001** per product ($1 per 1,000) |
| AI-tagged product | **$0.002** per product (plus your own LLM tokens) |

**Examples**

- 1,000 products: **$1**
- 10,000 products: **$10**
- 1,000 products with AI: **$3** plus your LLM tokens (typically cents with `gpt-4o-mini`)

Apify's Free plan includes $5 of monthly usage, enough for about **5,000 products** without AI. Set **Maximum cost per run** in the run options to cap spend; the Actor stops cleanly at the limit.

### Use it via API, Python, n8n, Make or AI agents

Run the Actor and get results in one call (replace `<APIFY_TOKEN>` with your token):

```bash
curl -X POST "https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/data-drip~shopify-products-ai/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=<APIFY_TOKEN>" \
  -H 'Content-Type: application/json' \
  -d '{"storeUrls": ["https://www.allbirds.com"], "maxProductsPerStore": 500}'
```

```python
from apify_client import ApifyClient
client = ApifyClient('<APIFY_TOKEN>')
run = client.actor('data-drip/shopify-products-ai').call(run_input={"storeUrls": ["https://www.allbirds.com"], "maxProductsPerStore": 500})
for item in client.dataset(run['defaultDatasetId']).iterate_items():
    print(item)
```

- **Schedules**: run it hourly, daily or weekly from Apify Schedules.
- **Integrations**: send results to Google Sheets, Slack, Zapier, Make, n8n or a webhook.
- **AI agents (MCP)**: add `data-drip/shopify-products-ai` as a tool in the Apify MCP server (`https://mcp.apify.com`) for Claude, Cursor and other MCP clients.

### Limitations

- Works only on Shopify storefronts that keep the public catalog feed enabled.
- Exact inventory quantities are not exposed by the feed; you get in-stock status per variant.
- Product reviews are not included.

### FAQ

**Is it allowed?** The Actor reads the public product catalog that Shopify stores publish at `/products.json`, which their robots.txt permits. It collects no customer or personal data.

**Some stores return 0 products?** A few stores disable or block the public catalog feed, or the site is not on Shopify. The Actor logs this and moves on, and you are not charged.

**How do I find out if a site uses Shopify?** Open `https://<store>/products.json` in your browser. If you see JSON, it works.

**Do I need an AI key?** No. Without a key the Actor runs as a fast, plain scraper and you pay only for results. To turn on AI, paste your own OpenAI or OpenRouter key into the **LLM API key** field. It is stored as an encrypted secret input and only used to call the provider you picked. LLM tokens are billed by your provider, not by us.

**Which models work?** The default is `gpt-4o-mini`, or `openai/gpt-4o-mini` on OpenRouter. Any chat model that supports JSON output works. Set it in **LLM model**.

**Can I schedule it?** Yes. Use Apify Schedules (for example daily) and connect the dataset to Google Sheets, Slack or a webhook to get only fresh products.

**How do I get help or request a feature?** Open an issue on the Actor's **Issues** tab.
