# LinkedIn Account Intent Feed (`data-slayer/linkedin-account-intent-feed`) Actor

Turn LinkedIn post engagement into an account-level intent feed. Enter competitor or creator profile URLs (or post URLs); the Actor finds everyone who engaged, resolves their company, and returns one row per account with engager counts, engagement mix, and an intent score.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## LinkedIn Account Intent Feed

Turn engagement on LinkedIn posts into an account-level intent feed — see which companies are actually paying attention, not just which individuals liked a post.

### Watch the demo

YouTube video coming soon.

### What this Actor does

Give it competitor or thought-leader profile URLs (or specific post URLs). The Actor finds the posts, extracts everyone who reacted or commented, resolves each person's company, and rolls the engagement up to **one row per account**:

- how many people at that company engaged,
- how many commented vs reacted,
- how many distinct posts they engaged with,
- a 0–100 intent score, and
- the most-engaged people at that account.

It uses public data only, requires no cookies and no login, and only returns accounts that showed real engagement.

### Input

| Field | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| `profile_urls` | string\[] | No | Competitor or thought-leader profile URLs whose recent posts are scanned |
| `post_urls` | string\[] | No | Scan these exact posts instead of, or as well as, the profile feeds |
| `max_posts` | integer | No | Hard cap on posts scanned per source profile, 1–50 (default `10`) |
| `include_reactions` | boolean | No | Count reactors (default `true`) |
| `include_commenters` | boolean | No | Count commenters (default `true`) |

Provide at least one source profile URL or post URL.

Example:

```json
{
  "profile_urls": ["https://www.linkedin.com/in/example-competitor"],
  "max_posts": 10,
  "include_reactions": true,
  "include_commenters": true
}
```

### How to use it

1. Paste the competitor or creator profile URLs you want to monitor.
2. Set `max_posts` to control cost and run time.
3. Click **Start**.
4. Sort the output by `intentScore` and work the accounts at the top.

### Output

One row per account that showed engagement:

```json
{
  "schemaVersion": "1.0",
  "checkedAt": "2026-09-25T10:00:00+00:00",
  "companyName": "Globex",
  "companyUrl": "https://www.linkedin.com/company/globex",
  "companyIndustry": "Software Development",
  "engagerCount": 7,
  "commenterCount": 3,
  "reactorCount": 5,
  "uniquePostsEngaged": 4,
  "intentScore": 100,
  "topPeople": [
    {
      "profileUrl": "https://www.linkedin.com/in/example",
      "name": "Example Person",
      "engagements": 3,
      "uniquePosts": 3
    }
  ],
  "sourceProfiles": ["https://www.linkedin.com/in/example-competitor"],
  "collectedAt": "2026-09-25T10:00:00+00:00"
}
```

The `OUTPUT` key-value-store record reports posts scanned, engagers found and resolved, and accounts written.

### Pricing

| Event | Price |
|---|---|
| Actor start | $0.02 |
| Account scored | $0.04 |

You pay per account row returned. A run across 10 competitor posts typically yields 20–60 accounts.

### Common uses

- **Competitor audiences** — see which companies follow a rival, then reach them.
- **ABM intent** — score target accounts by real engagement instead of guesses.
- **Creator partnerships** — find the companies whose people engage with a niche voice.
- **Event follow-up** — turn a webinar or launch post into a ranked account list.

### Limits

- Only public posts and public engagement are read.
- An account appears only when at least one of its people engaged and their company could be resolved.
- Comments weigh more than reactions in the intent score; the score is relative, not absolute.
- A very active source can produce many posts — use `max_posts` to bound the run.

### Automation

Run from the Apify API, schedules, or webhooks. Download the same dataset as JSON, CSV, or Excel.

### Feedback and support

Use the Actor's Issues tab for reproducible problems. Include the affected post or profile URLs, but do not include credentials.

### FAQ

**How much does it cost to run this Actor?**
Pricing is listed in the Pricing section above, charged per row returned. You only pay for the rows
the Actor actually produces, so a small test run costs cents.

**Do I need cookies or a LinkedIn login?**
No. This Actor reads public data only - no cookies, no account, no browser automation.

**Can I schedule it?**
Yes. Run it from the Apify API, on a schedule, or via a webhook, and export results as JSON, CSV or Excel.

**What if I need a slightly different output?**
Open an issue on the Actor's Issues tab describing the shape you need.
