## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## LinkedIn Buying-Committee Mapper

Turn one company into its buying committee — who to contact, and in what order.

### Watch the demo

YouTube video coming soon.

### What this Actor does

Give it one LinkedIn company URL. The Actor finds the senior people at that company and maps each one to a buying-committee role:

| Role | Who it is |
|---|---|
| **Economic buyer** | Executives who own the budget (C-level, founders, VPs) |
| **Champion** | Function leads and senior individuals who will push internally |
| **Technical buyer** | CTO / VP Engineering / Head of Engineering — evaluates the product |
| **User** | The day-to-day users |
| **Blocker** | Finance, legal, procurement — can stall or stop the deal |

Every row carries a **role priority** (1 = contact first), the title, location, tenure, and profile URL.

"Type one company name, get the buying committee" is sold by multiple paid GTM agents. This Actor delivers it from public data, with no cookies and no login.

### Input

| Field | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| `company_url` | string | Yes | LinkedIn company page URL or slug |
| `seniority` | string\[] | No | Optional seniority filter (e.g. `cxO`, `vp`, `director`) |
| `max_members` | integer | No | Hard cap on people returned — the main cost control (default `25`, 1–100) |

Example:

```json
{
  "company_url": "https://www.linkedin.com/company/globex",
  "max_members": 25
}
```

### How to use it

1. Paste the company URL.
2. Optionally narrow by seniority.
3. Click **Start**.
4. Work down `rolePriority` — economic buyer, then champion, then technical buyer.

### Output

One row per person:

```json
{
  "schemaVersion": "1.0",
  "checkedAt": "2026-09-25T10:00:00+00:00",
  "companyName": "Globex",
  "companyUrl": "https://www.linkedin.com/company/globex",
  "committeeRole": "economic_buyer",
  "rolePriority": 1,
  "fullName": "Example Executive",
  "jobTitle": "VP Sales",
  "seniority": "",
  "function": "",
  "location": "San Francisco, CA",
  "tenureYears": 2.4,
  "profileUrl": "https://www.linkedin.com/in/example-executive",
  "roleReason": "Executive — owns the budget",
  "collectedAt": "2026-09-25T10:00:00+00:00"
}
```

The `OUTPUT` key-value-store record reports members found, returned, and the role breakdown.

### Pricing

| Event | Price |
|---|---|
| Actor start | $0.05 |
| Committee member | $0.04 |

You pay per person returned. A 25-person committee is about $1.05.

### Common uses

- **Multi-threading** — reach the whole committee, not just one contact.
- **Deal rescue** — find the missing economic buyer when a deal stalls.
- **ABM targeting** — build persona-level target lists per account.
- **Territory planning** — understand who sits where across key accounts.

### Limits

- Roles are inferred from the title text, not from a verified org chart.
- Only people present in the searchable index for that company are returned.
- One company per run — loop or schedule it for a list.

### Automation

Run from the Apify API, schedules, or webhooks. Download the same dataset as JSON, CSV, or Excel.

### Feedback and support

Use the Actor's Issues tab for reproducible problems. Include the affected company URL, but do not include credentials.

### FAQ

**How much does it cost to run this Actor?**
Pricing is listed in the Pricing section above, charged per row returned. You only pay for the rows
the Actor actually produces, so a small test run costs cents.

**Do I need cookies or a LinkedIn login?**
No. This Actor reads public data only - no cookies, no account, no browser automation.

**Can I schedule it?**
Yes. Run it from the Apify API, on a schedule, or via a webhook, and export results as JSON, CSV or Excel.

**What if I need a slightly different output?**
Open an issue on the Actor's Issues tab describing the shape you need.
