## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## TikTok Search Videos Scraper

Search for TikTok videos by keyword. Returns video caption, a link to the video on TikTok, publish date, engagement metrics (plays, likes, comments, shares, downloads), duration, cover image, music track, and creator metadata (username, display name, avatar). Supports region filtering, publish-time filtering, and sorting by relevance, recency, or likes. Supports fetching multiple pages in a single API call (billed per page).

### Features

- Real-time TikTok data — results are fetched live at run time, never cached or stale
- No login, cookies, or proxy configuration needed — just provide the input and run
- Each result is pushed as a separate dataset item, exportable as JSON, CSV, or Excel
- Fast: a typical run finishes in seconds

### Input

| Field | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| `query` | string | yes | Search query (max 500 characters) |
| `pages` | integer | no | Number of pages to fetch and merge (1-10). Each page returns up to 30 videos. Billed per page. |
| `region` | string | no | 2-letter region code to filter by (e.g., us, gb, jp, de, fr) |
| `publish_time` | integer | no | Filter by publish time in days: 0 = all time, 1 = last day, 7 = last week, 30 = last month, 90 = last 3 months, 180 = last 6 months. Any other number returns 400; a non-numeric value falls back to 0. |
| `sort_by` | string | no | Sort order for results. Any unrecognised value falls back to relevance. One of: relevance, most_recent, most_liked. |

### Pricing

This Actor is billed **per page of results** — **$0.006 per page**.

- Results come in pages. Use the `pages` input to choose how many pages to fetch (1–10); more pages means more results.
- You pay $0.006 for each page you fetch, so `pages: 3` costs **$0.018** and `pages: 1` costs **$0.006**.
- You’re only charged when a run succeeds, or when it fails because what you asked for was looked up and doesn’t exist, is private, or isn’t valid: that costs one page ($0.006). Other failed runs are free.

I love you guys, and I appreciate everyone who watched my videos and supported me along the way, but unfortunately I need to step away for a bit. However, this recipe almost makes it worth it because this is probably the best chicken I\u2019ve ever had in my life. Also, warning, this is extremely spicy. Good luck.
