## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## France Company Carbon Reports: ADEME BEGES Emissions

Get the **official greenhouse gas reports (BEGES)** that French companies, public bodies and local authorities file on the ADEME platform. About 12,000 reports from about 8,000 organisations, from 2009 to today, updated regularly by ADEME.

Large French companies (more than 500 employees, 250 overseas), public bodies and local authorities must publish a BEGES. This Actor turns the ADEME open data into clean rows: scope 1, scope 2 and scope 3 totals in tonnes of CO2 equivalent, the 22-line breakdown, the reference year, reduction targets, CSRD status and the link to the full report.

### What you can do

- **Look up a list of companies** by SIREN or SIRET: get their latest carbon report, and see which ones have none (`sirensWithoutReport` in the summary).
- **Find prospects or benchmarks**: filter by sector (NAF/APE code), department, organisation type, reporting year, publication date, CSRD status or minimum total emissions.
- **Monitor new reports**: turn on *alert mode* and schedule the Actor weekly. You only get (and pay for) reports you have not received yet.

Useful for carbon accounting and CSRD consultants, ESG analysts, sustainability software vendors, procurement teams (supplier carbon data), banks and insurers.

### Example output

```json
{
  "organisationName": "ELECTRICITE DE FRANCE",
  "siren": "552081317",
  "structureType": "Entreprise",
  "nafCode": "3511Z",
  "reportingYear": 2022,
  "publishedAt": "2023-04-07",
  "method": "v5",
  "legallyRequired": true,
  "scope1DirectTco2e": 23817090,
  "scope2EnergyTco2e": 388819,
  "scope3OtherIndirectTco2e": 95917658,
  "scope3Reported": true,
  "totalTco2e": 120123567,
  "emissionsBreakdownTco2e": { "1.1 Direct emissions from stationary combustion": 23292149, "4.1 Purchased goods": 39216296, "5.1 Use of sold products": 40933566 },
  "subjectToDpefOrPcaet": true,
  "fullReportUrl": "https://www.edf.fr/sites/groupe/files/2023-03/edfgroup_bilan-ges_groupe-edf_2022_vf.pdf",
  "source": "ADEME, Bilans d'émissions de gaz à effet de serre (BEGES) …",
  "sourceDataDate": "2026-10-26T00:00:30.488Z"
}
```

(Breakdown shortened in this example.) The last row of each run is a **run summary** with counts, the SIRENs without any report and the source data date.

Scopes follow the BEGES categories: category 1 = scope 1 (direct), category 2 = scope 2 (energy), categories 3 to 6 = scope 3 (transport, purchases, sold products, other). Older reports (method v4) usually only contain scopes 1 and 2: `scope3Reported` is then `false`.

### Input

| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| `sirens` | SIREN (9 digits) or SIRET (14 digits) list |
| `nameQuery` | Full-text search on the organisation name |
| `structureTypes` | company, public_body, local_authority, state, association |
| `nafCodes` | NAF/APE prefixes, e.g. `62`, `4791A` |
| `departments` | e.g. `75`, `69`, `2A`, `974` |
| `minReportingYear`, `publishedSince` | Time filters |
| `csrdOnly`, `minTotalEmissionsTco2e` | Extra filters |
| `latestOnly` | One row per organisation (default) or full history |
| `includeTexts` | Adds presentation, policy and reduction actions texts |
| `onlyNew` + `stateStoreName` | Alert mode |
| `maxItems` | Cap on delivered (and charged) reports (default 200) |

With no input at all, you get the 200 most recently published reports.

### Pricing

Pay per event: **$0.005 per carbon report delivered**. SIRENs without a report, filtered-out or older reports, reports already seen in alert mode and the summary row are free. Example: checking 1,000 suppliers where 120 have a report costs $0.60 plus the platform start.

### Privacy

The ADEME file also lists the name, job, phone and e-mail of the person in charge of each report. This Actor **never requests or returns these personal fields**: only organisation-level data.

### Source and licence

Data: *Bilans d'émissions de gaz à effet de serre* published by **ADEME** (Agence de la transition écologique), dataset [bilan-ges on data.ademe.fr](https://data.ademe.fr/datasets/bilan-ges), under the [Licence Ouverte / Open Licence v2.0](https://www.etalab.gouv.fr/licence-ouverte-open-licence/) (Etalab). Each row carries the source, the licence and the dataset update date (`sourceDataDate`). Figures are as declared by each organisation. This Actor is not affiliated with ADEME or the French administration.
