## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## France Egapro Equality Index: Gender Pay Gap by Company

Get the **official French gender equality index (Index Egapro)** for every company and economic and social unit (UES) with **50 or more employees**, straight from the French Ministry of Labour open data:

- **Overall index** out of 100 (legal threshold 75; publication threshold 85)
- The **five indicator scores**: pay gap, individual raises, promotions, maternity-leave return, top-pay band
- **Headcount band**, **NAF/APE** activity, **department** and **region**
- **History since 2018** and the **1-year change** of the index
- Flags when the company is **below 75** (corrective measures required) or **below 85**

No scraping, no account, no API key: the Actor downloads the official national XLSX published on [egapro.travail.gouv.fr](https://egapro.travail.gouv.fr/) (also listed on data.gouv.fr under Licence Ouverte 2.0).

### Who uses it

- **ESG / compliance / KYB teams**: screen suppliers and portfolio companies on the legal equality index.
- **HR tech and payroll tools**: enrich company profiles with the latest declared score and history.
- **Journalists, researchers and unions**: rank sectors, departments or NAF codes, find companies below 75.
- **Investors and due diligence**: track whether a target’s index improved or dropped year over year.

### Input examples

Two SIRENs (Danone + L'Oréal):

```json
{ "sirens": ["552081317", "632012100"] }
```

Companies in Rhône (69) with an index below 75, lowest first:

```json
{ "departments": ["69"], "belowThreshold": true, "onlyWithIndex": true, "sortBy": "indexAsc", "maxItems": 50 }
```

Tech companies (NAF 62) in Île-de-France, latest year:

```json
{ "nafPrefixes": ["62"], "regions": ["Île-de-France"], "onlyWithIndex": true, "maxItems": 100 }
```

### Output (one row per company / UES)

| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| siren, companyName, structureType | Identity (company or UES) |
| year, headcountBand, nafCode, nafLabel | Declaration context |
| departmentCode, departmentName, regionName | Location |
| indexScore | Global index /100 |
| payGapScore, raiseGapScore, promotionGapScore, maternityReturnScore, topPayScore | Indicator scores |
| belowLegalThreshold, belowPublishThreshold | index < 75 / < 85 |
| history\[], indexChange1y | Previous years + 1-year delta |
| source, sourceLicence, sourceDataDate | Citation (Licence Ouverte 2.0) |

A final **run_summary** row gives the year, counts, individuals excluded and the source date (not charged).

Sole-trader-looking names without a legal-form token are excluded (personal data). The underlying file only covers employers with 50+ staff.

### Pricing

**$0.002 per company delivered** (pay per event). About 30,000 declarations per year; use `maxItems` and your run cost limit to control the budget. The summary row and filtered-out rows are free.
