## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## SEEK Jobs Scraper: Australia & New Zealand

**Scrape job listings from [SEEK](https://www.seek.com.au) (seek.com.au and seek.co.nz) with full job descriptions, parsed salary, company profile, work type and work arrangement.** Get **every** matching job, not just the 500 SEEK shows per search. Filter by keyword, location, classification, salary and posting date, or paste any SEEK search URL. **Monitor mode** returns only new jobs on each scheduled run.

- ✅ **All results, not only the first 500.** Large searches are split automatically and de-duplicated.
- ✅ **Full job description** (text and HTML), expiry date and **company profile**: website, size, industry, rating.
- ✅ **Structured salary.** `salaryMin`, `salaryMax`, `salaryPeriod` (year, hour, day) are parsed from the advertised salary.
- ✅ **Australia and New Zealand.**
- ✅ **Monitor mode** for daily new-job feeds, alerts and lead lists.
- ✅ **Fast.** 1,000+ jobs a minute, no browser.
- 💲 **$1 per 1,000 jobs**, full details included.

### Use cases

- **Recruitment agencies and sales teams**: find companies that are hiring right now, with company website and size for outreach.
- **Job boards and aggregators**: import fresh Australian and New Zealand listings every day.
- **Salary benchmarking and labour-market research**: pay ranges by role, classification, city and work arrangement.
- **Job seekers**: get alerts for new roles that match your filters.
- **AI and analytics**: clean, structured job data with full descriptions for LLMs, dashboards and spreadsheets.

### How to use

1. Enter one or more **search keywords** (or leave empty for all jobs).
2. Optionally set **location**, **classification**, **work type**, **work arrangement**, **salary** and **listed in the last N days**.
3. Click **Start**. Download results as JSON, CSV, Excel or HTML, or pull them through the API.

You can also paste **SEEK search URLs** (e.g. `https://www.seek.com.au/python-jobs/in-Sydney-NSW?worktype=242&daterange=7`) and all their filters are applied.

### Monitor mode: get only new jobs

Turn on **Monitor mode**, give the monitor a name, and [schedule](https://docs.apify.com/platform/schedules) the Actor (e.g. every morning). The first run saves all current jobs as the baseline. Every later run returns only jobs that weren't there before. Send them to Slack, email, Google Sheets, Zapier, Make or n8n with Apify integrations.

### Pricing

**$0.001 per job ($1 per 1,000 jobs)**, with full description and company profile included. Duplicates are removed before billing. Set a *maximum cost per run* and the Actor stops cleanly when it's reached.

### FAQ

**Why do I get more jobs than SEEK's count?** SEEK's total is an estimate. With *Collect all results* on, the Actor sweeps every slice of the search, so the final number can be slightly higher.

**Is scraping SEEK legal?** The Actor only collects publicly available job ads and no personal data. You're responsible for using the data in line with SEEK's terms and local law.

**Need something else?** Open an issue. Feature requests are welcome.
