## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Telegram Channel Scraper: Posts, Views & Reactions (No Login)

**Scrape posts from any public Telegram channel. No Telegram account, phone number or API keys needed.** For every post you get text, date, **views**, **reactions**, photos, videos, links, link previews, forwards and hashtags, plus the channel's title and **subscriber count**. Go back through the full channel history, filter by date, search inside channels, or run in **monitor mode** to get only new posts.

- ✅ **No login, no API keys, no ban risk**: uses Telegram's public web preview (`t.me/s/…`).
- ✅ **Rich post data**: views, reactions (including paid ⭐ reactions), media URLs, links, forwards, replies, polls, documents, hashtags.
- ✅ **Full history** with automatic pagination, or stop at a date.
- ✅ **In-channel search** using Telegram's own search.
- ✅ **Monitor mode**: schedule it to get a feed of new posts from many channels.
- 💲 **$1 per 1,000 posts.**

### Use cases

- **Crypto and trading signals**: collect posts from signal and news channels, with views and reactions.
- **News and media monitoring**: track what channels publish, and when.
- **Brand and competitor monitoring**: follow competitor channels and measure engagement.
- **Research and OSINT**: archive public channels, analyze narratives, forwards and reach.
- **AI and analytics**: feed channel content into LLMs, dashboards or sentiment analysis.

}
```
The `CHANNELS_REPORT` record lists each channel's title, subscriber count, number of posts collected and any errors.
### Monitor mode
Turn on **Monitor mode** and [schedule](https://docs.apify.com/platform/schedules) the Actor (e.g. every hour). Each run returns only posts published since the previous run. Pipe them to Slack, Discord, email, Google Sheets, Zapier, Make or n8n.
### Pricing
**$0.001 per post ($1 per 1,000)**. Channel info is included for free.
### Limitations
- Only **public** channels (and public supergroups) that have a web preview at `t.me/s/<name>` are supported. Private channels and chats are not.
- Very large media (videos) are returned as links when Telegram provides them; some media types are only viewable in the Telegram app.
- Views and reactions show Telegram's rounded public values (e.g. 1.74M).
