## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Netherlands Visa Sponsors: search the IND recognised sponsor register and get new-sponsor alerts

Search the Dutch Immigration and Naturalisation Service (IND) **public register of recognised sponsors** for the residence purposes work and highly skilled migrant, and get one clean row per organisation with its **KVK (Chamber of Commerce) number** and legal form. Or switch on **watch mode** and each run returns only the organisations that are **newly recognised** since your previous run.

The data is the IND's own register, read fresh on every run (about 12,700 organisations, updated by the IND once a month). No browser, no proxy, no login.

Made for job seekers and relocation firms who want Dutch employers that can sponsor a work permit, recruiters and immigration consultants checking whether a client or candidate's employer is recognised, and analysts or AI agents that need a structured list of Dutch recognised sponsors.

### What you get

- **Organisation fields:** `organisation`, `kvkNumber`, `legalForm` (BV, NV, Stichting, Vereniging and so on, read from the name).
- **Watch mode extras:** `changeType` (`new`, or `notListed` on request) and `previousListUpdated`.
- **Provenance:** `register`, `listUpdated` (the date the IND gives), `source` and `attribution` on every row.

### Input example

```json
{
  "query": "software",
  "legalForms": ["BV"],
  "maxResults": 100
}
```

Check a list of employers by KVK number:

```json
{
  "kvkNumbers": ["16051874", "17037842"]
}
```

Watch mode (run it monthly, after the IND update):

```json
{
  "watchMode": true,
  "storeName": "nl-sponsors-tech",
  "query": "tech"
}
```

The first watch run saves a free baseline of the register in the named store. A later run on an unchanged register is free and says so. When the IND has updated the register, the run returns the organisations that appear in it but not in your saved copy (filters still apply), then moves the baseline forward. A run capped by `maxResults` or the charge limit does not advance the baseline, so no change is lost.

Leave the input empty to run a 5-row example.

### Output example

```json
{
  "mode": "search",
  "changeType": null,
  "organisation": "Example Software B.V.",
  "kvkNumber": "12345678",
  "legalForm": "BV",
  "register": "work",
  "listUpdated": "5 October 2026",
  "source": "https://ind.nl/en/public-register-recognised-sponsors/public-register-work",
  "attribution": "Source: Immigratie- en Naturalisatiedienst (IND), Public register recognised sponsors (ind.nl)",
  "scrapedAt": "2026-11-02T08:00:00Z"
}
```

### Pricing

Pay per result: **$0.0008 per organisation** returned in search mode and **$0.002 per new organisation** in watch mode. Baseline, unchanged and error notice rows are free. Example: checking 200 employers by KVK number costs $0.16; the whole register costs about $10. A run bills only what it returns, and `maxResults` and your run's maximum charge both cap it.

### Data source and attribution

Source: Immigratie- en Naturalisatiedienst (IND), public register recognised sponsors. The IND's website says reuse of its content is allowed if you mention the source; keep the `attribution` field if you republish. The Actor is independent and not endorsed by the IND or the Dutch government. It makes one request to the register page per run.

### Responsible use

- Recognition as a sponsor is not a job offer, not a guarantee that an organisation is hiring and not immigration or legal advice. Check the IND before relying on a row.
- The register covers organisations. Names that look like a private person are dropped and no personal data is returned. The check is deliberately cautious, so some small businesses with a two-word name may be dropped too; the status message says how many.
- Do not use the data to contact people in ways that break the law where they live; obligations for what you do with it rest with you.

### FAQ

**How fresh is it?** The IND updates the register once a month; `listUpdated` shows its date.

**Does it include emails, phone numbers or websites?** No. Rows hold the organisation, KVK number and legal form only.

**Does it cover the research, au pair or education registers?** Not yet; this Actor reads the work register.

**Why is an organisation missing?** The IND lists organisations after the next monthly update, and organisations with an unrecognised name pattern for a private person are dropped.

# Actor input Schema

## `query` (type: `string`):

Case-insensitive text the organisation name must contain, e.g. `software`, `ziekenhuis`, `shell`.

## `kvkNumbers` (type: `array`):

Check specific organisations by Chamber of Commerce (KVK) number, 8 digits. Handy to verify a list of employers in one run.

## `legalForms` (type: `array`):

Keep names ending in these forms: BV, NV, VOF, CV, Stichting, Vereniging, Cooperatie, DE (GmbH/AG), Anglo (Ltd/Inc/LLP), FR (SA/SARL), SE.

## `listAll` (type: `boolean`):

Return every recognised sponsor when no filter is set (about 12,700 rows, billed per row). Without any filter or this switch the Actor runs a 5-row example.

## `watchMode` (type: `boolean`):

Compare the register with the copy saved by your previous run in the named store below and return only organisations that are new (filters still apply). The IND updates the register monthly. The first run saves a baseline for free; a run on an unchanged register is free too.

## `storeName` (type: `string`):

Named key-value store holding the previous register. Use a different name for each separate watch.

## `maxResults` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many billed rows. In watch mode a capped run does not advance the baseline.

## `changeTypes` (type: `array`):

Watch mode: `new` (newly recognised) and `notListed` (in your saved register but no longer listed). Leave empty for `new`.

## Actor input object example

```json
  "query": "tech",
  "kvkNumbers": [
    "16051874"
  ],
  "legalForms": [
    "Stichting"
  ],
  "listAll": false,
  "watchMode": false,
  "storeName": "nl-sponsor-watch",
  "maxResults": 10,
  "changeTypes": []
}
