## Pricing

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Bluesky Scraper — posts, profiles, followers & search

Extract data from **Bluesky** — no account, no app password, no API key. Search posts by keyword, hashtag or date, download any user's posts, profiles, followers and follows, collect every reply to a post, or find users by topic. You get clean, structured JSON with likes, reposts, replies, quotes, media, links, hashtags and mentions.

**Pay only for what you get: $1 per 1,000 results.** No monthly rental, no start fees.

### What can you do with it?

- 🔎 **Monitor keywords and hashtags** — brand mentions, competitors, crypto tickers, news topics; newest first, as far back as you need.
- 📈 **Measure engagement** — likes, reposts, replies, quotes and bookmarks for every post, plus the author's follower count.
- 👤 **Analyse accounts** — full post history of any user, with or without replies and reposts.
- 🤝 **Find leads and influencers** — search users by topic, export followers / follows with follower counts, bio links and bio emails.
- 💬 **Collect conversations** — every reply to a post, with depth and parent, ready for sentiment analysis or AI pipelines.

### Modes

| Mode | Input | Output |
|---|---|---|
| **Search posts** | Search queries | Posts matching the query (sort latest or top, date range, language) |
| **Posts of users** | Handles / profile URLs | The users' posts, newest first |
| **User profiles** | Handles / profile URLs | One profile per user |
| **Followers of users** | Handles | Profiles of their followers |
| **Accounts users follow** | Handles | Profiles they follow |
| **Replies to posts** | Post URLs | All visible replies in the thread |
| **Search users** | Search queries | Matching profiles |

### How to use

1. Pick a mode.
2. Add search queries (`ai agents`, `#buildinpublic`, `from:bsky.app climate`) or handles (`bsky.app`, `@jay.bsky.team`, `https://bsky.app/profile/bsky.app`).
3. Optionally set *Max results*, a date range, a language, or turn off replies.
4. Click **Start**. Download the results as JSON, CSV, Excel or HTML, or connect them to Make, Zapier, n8n, Google Sheets or your API.

### Pricing

Pay-per-result: **$1 per 1,000 posts ($0.001 per post); profiles $0.001 each.** Platform usage is included. Author stats and full profile data are free extras. A post found by two of your queries is stored and charged once. Cap the cost of any run with *Max total charge* in the run options — the scraper stops cleanly when the cap is reached.

### FAQ

**Do I need a Bluesky account or app password?** No. The scraper uses Bluesky's public AppView API — the same open API that the Bluesky app and third-party clients read from. Nothing is logged in and nothing is posted.

**How far back can search go?** With sort *Latest* the scraper walks back in time window by window, so you can collect thousands of posts per query. Bluesky only serves the first page of *Top* results to anonymous clients (~100 posts); add *Posts from date* and you get the top posts of every day in the range instead.

**Does it respect rate limits?** Yes. Requests are spread over a few parallel connections and automatically back off and retry when Bluesky answers *429 Too Many Requests*. No proxy is needed; you can enable one if you run very large jobs.

**Why are some replies or followers missing?** Bluesky hides content from deleted, deactivated, suspended or blocked accounts and replies hidden by the thread author. Counters (for example `replyCount`) still include them.

**What happens with a wrong handle?** It is skipped with a clear warning in the log; the rest of the run continues.

**Is it legal?** It collects only publicly available information. You are responsible for using the data in line with Bluesky's terms and the laws that apply to you, including data-protection rules such as GDPR.

# Actor input Schema

## `mode` (type: `string`):

Search posts by keyword, get posts of users, get profiles, list followers or follows, get all replies to a post, or search for users.

## `searchQueries` (type: `array`):

Used by 'Search posts' and 'Search users'. Keywords, phrases in quotes or hashtags. Bluesky search operators work too: from:handle, mentions:handle, domain:example.com, lang:en, #hashtag.

## `handles` (type: `array`):

Used by all other modes. Handles (bsky.app, @jay.bsky.team), DIDs or profile URLs (https://bsky.app/profile/bsky.app). For 'Replies to posts' use post URLs (https://bsky.app/profile/<handle>/post/<id>).

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Maximum posts or profiles collected for each search query, handle or post. 0 = no limit (use Max total charge to cap the cost). Ignored in 'User profiles' mode.

## `sort` (type: `string`):

'Latest' returns posts newest first and can go back as far as you need. 'Top' returns the most popular posts; without login Bluesky gives up to ~100 top posts per query, so set 'Posts from date' to get the top posts of every day in the range.

## `since` (type: `string`):

Only posts published on or after this date (YYYY-MM-DD or ISO date-time, UTC). Applies to 'Search posts' and 'Posts of users'.

## `until` (type: `string`):

Only posts published on or before this date (YYYY-MM-DD is inclusive, UTC). Applies to 'Search posts' and 'Posts of users'.

## `language` (type: `string`):

Only posts in this language, as a two-letter code (en, es, ja, de, pt …). Applies to 'Search posts'.

## `includeReplies` (type: `boolean`):

Keep posts that are replies to other posts. Turn off to get only original posts (search and user posts).

## `includeReposts` (type: `boolean`):

In 'Posts of users', also return posts the user reposted (marked with repostedBy).

## `onlyPostsWithMedia` (type: `boolean`):

In 'Posts of users', return only posts with images or video.

## `includeAuthorStats` (type: `boolean`):

Adds followersCount, followsCount and postsCount of each post's author (one extra lookup per 25 new authors). No extra charge.

## `enrichProfiles` (type: `boolean`):

Followers, follows and user-search lists don't include counts. When on, each profile is completed with followers, follows and posts counts and banner. No extra charge.

## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):

How many queries or handles to process at the same time.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Not needed — Bluesky's public API is open. Enable only if you see rate-limit or 403 errors.
