## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Company Profile Enricher (by Website)

**Company Profile Enricher** turns a list of company websites into company profiles: company name, description, logo, favicon, LinkedIn / X / Facebook / Instagram / YouTube / TikTok / GitHub pages, role-based email addresses (info@, sales@, support@), business phone numbers, address, country, language, founding year, and optionally the website's tech stack. Use it to enrich CRM records and lead lists, qualify accounts, or build clean company datasets from domains.

### What can this tool do?

- Enrich thousands of company domains in one run; each website's home, contact, and about pages are read.
- Find official company social media pages, skipping personal profiles, posts, and share links.
- Collect role-based company emails (info@, sales@, support@, press@ …) and drop personal addresses.
- Read business phone numbers and the postal address from the company's structured data and site footer.
- Return the company name, description, logo, favicon, website language, and founding year.
- Optionally detect the tech stack (CMS, ecommerce platform, analytics, payment, CDN …) with 6,700+ fingerprints.
- List websites that cannot be loaded with the reason, free of charge.

### What data does it return?

One row per website. Example values from a real run of the default input:

| Field | Example |
|---|---|
| `domain` | apify.com |
| `url` | https://apify.com/ |
| `companyName` | Apify |
| `description` | Thousands of tools to automate your business. Get real-time web data, track competitors, generate leads, and integrate your apps and AI agents. |
| `logoUrl` | https://apify.com/img/apify-logo/apify-symbol-200x200.svg |
| `faviconUrl` | https://apify.com/favicon.ico?… |
| `socialLinks` | {"linkedin": "https://www.linkedin.com/company/apify", "x": "https://x.com/apify", "facebook": null, "instagram": null, "youtube": "https://www.youtube.com/apify", "tiktok": "https://www.tiktok.com/@apifytech", "github": "https://github.com/apify"} |
| `emails` | \["hello@apify.com"] |
| `phones` | \[] |
| `address` | Na Příkopě 959/27, Prague, 11000, CZ |
| `country` | CZ |
| `language` | en |
| `foundingYear` | 2015 |
| `technologies` | \[] (filled when **Include tech stack** is on, for example \["React", "Amazon CloudFront", "Algolia", …]) |
| `pagesChecked` | 3 |
| `error` | null |
| `checkedAt` | 2026-09-24T19:03:11.229Z |

- Every row has the same fields; missing values are `null` or empty lists. In CSV and Excel, `socialLinks` becomes one column per network.

### How to use it

1. Paste company websites or domains, one per line.
2. Optionally turn on **Include tech stack**.
3. Click **Start**, then download the profiles as CSV, Excel, or JSON, or read them through the API.

### Pricing

Pay per company: **$3.00 per 1,000 companies**, plus $0.005 per run. Websites that cannot be loaded or that block the request are listed with the reason and not charged. Set a maximum cost per run in the run options.

### Use it through the API, AI agents, and integrations

Call it from your CRM workflow with the Apify API, or connect it to Make, Zapier, n8n, HubSpot, Google Sheets, or an AI agent through Apify's MCP server.

### Is it legal?

This tool reads a few public pages of each company website, the way a browser does. It does not log in or bypass access controls. It outputs company-level information only: people named on the site (founders, staff), personal email addresses, personal social profiles, and staff phone numbers are never collected. Technology fingerprints come from the open-source [webappanalyzer](https://github.com/enthec/webappanalyzer) project (GPL-3.0). You are responsible for how you use the data.

### FAQ

**Why is the email or phone empty?** Many companies publish only a contact form. The tool never guesses addresses and never returns personal emails, so it only reports role-based addresses that are actually on the site, and phone numbers from the company's structured data or site footer.

**A website shows an error. What can I do?** Some websites block cloud servers or show a bot check. Those rows are not charged. Turn on the **Proxy** option and run them again; heavily protected sites may still refuse automated requests.

**Do you find decision makers or employee emails?** No. This tool is deliberately limited to company-level data.

# Actor input Schema

## `domains` (type: `array`):

One website or domain per line, for example apify.com or https://www.stripe.com. The home page plus the contact and about pages are read.

## `includeTechStack` (type: `boolean`):

Also detect the website's technologies (CMS, ecommerce platform, analytics, payment, CDN …) with the open-source Wappalyzer fingerprints.

## `maxResults` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many enriched companies. 0 means no limit.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Optional. Some websites block cloud servers; Apify datacenter proxies can help.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "domains": [
    "apify.com",
    "stripe.com",
    "basecamp.com"
  ],
  "includeTechStack": false,
  "maxResults": 0
}
```
