## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## IndiaMART Suppliers & Product Prices Scraper

**IndiaMART Scraper** exports suppliers and product prices from IndiaMART, India's largest B2B marketplace: product name, price and unit, company name, city, GST verification, years on IndiaMART, rating, brand and specifications, by product category and city.

### What can this tool do?

- Find Indian manufacturers, wholesalers and exporters for any product category ("safety shoes", "led bulb", "cotton fabric").
- Compare wholesale prices across suppliers and cities.
- Filter suppliers by city (Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmedabad …) or cover all of India.
- Qualify suppliers with GST verification, years on IndiaMART, rating and number of ratings.
- Get product specifications (brand, material, size, standard …) for sourcing and market research.

### What data does it return?

One row per product:

| Field | Example |
|---|---|
| `productName` | Agarson Power Safety Shoes |
| `price` / `priceUnit` / `currency` | 450 / pair / INR |
| `priceText` | ₹ 450/pair |
| `companyName` | Milan Safety |
| `city` / `country` | Mumbai / India |
| `dealsInCity` | null (for sellers based elsewhere who supply the city page they were found on, e.g. "Delhi"; `city` is then empty) |
| `gstVerified` | true |
| `memberSinceYears` | 12 |
| `rating` / `ratingCount` | 4.2 / 244 (left empty when based on a single review) |
| `brand` | Agarson |
| `specs` | { "Safety Standard": "IS 15298", "Toe Type": "Steel Toe", … } |
| `productUrl` | https://www.indiamart.com/proddetail/agarson-power-safety-shoes-2858003801133.html |
| `companyUrl` | https://www.milansafety.in/ |
| `imageUrl` | https://5.imimg.com/data5/… |
| `category` | Safety Shoes |

Also: `productId`, `sourceUrl` (the category or city page the product was found on).

The example is real output from a run on 2026-09-28. In a test of 3 categories the tool returned 8,037 products from 91 cities; 20 sampled products matched their IndiaMART pages on name, company and price.

### How to use it

1. Enter product categories as IndiaMART names them (or paste category links), and optionally cities.
2. Set the maximum products per category and click **Start**.
3. Download the products as CSV, Excel or JSON, or pull them through the API.

### Pricing

Pay per product: **$1.50 per 1,000 products**, plus $0.005 per run. Set a maximum cost per run in the run options.

### Use it through the API, AI agents, and integrations

Call it from your code with the Apify API, schedule weekly price checks, or connect it to Make, Zapier, n8n, Google Sheets, or an AI agent through Apify's MCP server.

### Is it legal?

The tool reads IndiaMART's public category pages (allowed by IndiaMART's robots.txt), without logging in, slowly (one page per second). It returns product and company-level data only: **no phone numbers, no contact person names**. Business names are kept as published. You are responsible for how you use the data.

### FAQ

**How many products can I get per category?** Usually 1,000–4,000: the category page plus up to 50 city pages, each with about 28 suppliers and up to 3 more products per supplier. IndiaMART does not show more than that without search, which its robots.txt does not allow.

**Why no phone numbers or emails?** Many IndiaMART sellers are small businesses whose listed number is a personal mobile. We only export company-level data. Use the product or company link to contact suppliers through IndiaMART.

**Why is `city` empty for some suppliers?** On city pages IndiaMART also lists sellers from other cities who supply that city ("Deals in Delhi"). Their own city is not in the listing, so `city` is empty and `dealsInCity` shows the city they supply. Sellers with several branches can show a branch city.

**The category was not found.** Use the name from the IndiaMART category page URL, for example `safety-shoes` from dir.indiamart.com/impcat/safety-shoes.html.

# Actor input Schema

## `categories` (type: `array`):

One per line: a product category as IndiaMART names it ("safety shoes", "led bulb", "cotton fabric") or a category link like https://dir.indiamart.com/impcat/safety-shoes.html.

## `cities` (type: `array`):

Only suppliers from these cities, for example Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmedabad. Leave empty for all of India (the category page plus up to 50 city pages).

## `includeMoreProducts` (type: `boolean`):

IndiaMART shows up to 3 more products next to each supplier. Include them as extra rows.

## `maxResultsPerCategory` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many products for each category. 0 means as many as the category and city pages show (often 1,000–4,000).

## `maxResults` (type: `integer`):

Stop the whole run after this many products. 0 means no limit.
