## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Data Legion Person & Company Enrichment

Turn an email, phone number, social profile URL or name into a full person profile, and a domain or company name into a full company profile. The data comes from [Data Legion](https://www.datalegion.ai).

You pay only for records that match. No-matches, invalid inputs and errors are free.

### What you can look up

**People**

- Emails, phone numbers (with country code), or social profile URLs (LinkedIn and others).
- A name together with one more detail: company, school, job title, city, state, country, postal code, address or birth date. Use the **Records** input for these.

**Companies**

- Domains (most reliable) or company names.
- LinkedIn IDs, ticker symbols, social URLs or Data Legion IDs, through the **Records** input.

### Products and pricing

Pick one product per run. Each matched record is charged once.

| Product | What you get | Price per match |
| -------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | --------------- |
| Person Base, no contact data | Name, headline, current job and company, work history, education, skills, languages, social profiles | $0.01 |
| Person Base with contact data | Person Base plus emails, phones, location, age and sex | $0.05 |
| Person Premium, no contact data | Person Base plus seniority, job function, decision-maker flag, years of experience, tenure, certifications, data freshness | $0.04 |
| Person Premium with contact data | Person Premium plus emails, phones, location, age and sex | $0.08 |
| Company Base | Name, domains, industry, size, type, founding year, description, tickers, social profiles | $0.01 |
| Company Premium | Company Base plus headcount, growth, turnover, tenure and workforce breakdowns | $0.04 |

You pay once per person or company per run: duplicate inputs (including different spellings of the same email, domain or URL) are looked up once, and if two different inputs match the same record, the second row comes back free with `charged: false` and `duplicate_of` pointing at the paid row. A run stops when it reaches the maximum charge you set for it. Every record it has charged for is in the dataset, and none beyond that. Raise the limit and run the rest again.

### Input example

```json
{
  "product": "person_base_no_pii",
  "emails": ["jane@example.com"],
  "socialUrls": ["https://www.linkedin.com/in/janedoe"],
  "records": [{ "full_name": "Jane Doe", "company": "Acme" }],
  "minConfidence": "high"
}
```

- **Minimum match confidence** (`high`, `moderate`, `low`) drops weaker matches.
- **Required fields** (for example `work_email` or `phones.type:mobile`) treats a match without those fields as a no-match, so you aren't charged for it.

### Output

One dataset row per unique input record:

```json
{
  "index": 0,
  "input": { "email": "jane@example.com" },
  "status": "matched",
  "person": { "full_name": "Jane Doe", "job_title": "...", "...": "..." },
  "match_metadata": { "...": "..." }
}
```

`status` is one of:

- `matched`: the profile is in `person` or `company`. `charged` is `true` on the row that paid for the record, `false` on a repeat.
- `no_match`: nothing matched (free).
- `invalid_input`: the record can't be looked up as given; `error` says why (free).
- `error`: a temporary problem after retries; run the record again (free).

A field with no value is either `null` or left out. The full field reference is in the [Data Legion docs](https://www.datalegion.ai/docs).

### Responsible use

Contact data is personal data. Use it only for lawful purposes, as set out in Data Legion's [Acceptable Data Use policy](https://www.datalegion.ai/legal/acceptable-data-use) and [Terms](https://www.datalegion.ai/legal/terms). People who have opted out are never returned. Anyone can opt out at [datalegion.ai/legal/do-not-sell](https://www.datalegion.ai/legal/do-not-sell). Privacy policy: [datalegion.ai/legal/privacy-policy](https://www.datalegion.ai/legal/privacy-policy).

# Actor input Schema

## `product` (type: `string`):

Which data you get back for each match. Person Base: name, headline, current job and company, work history, education, skills, languages and social profiles. Person Premium adds seniority, job function, decision-maker flag, years of experience, tenure, certifications and data freshness. "With contact data" adds emails, phones, location, age and sex. Company Base: name, domains, industry, size, type, founding year, description, tickers and social profiles; Company Premium adds headcount, growth, turnover, tenure and workforce breakdowns. Each matched record is charged once at the product's price; no-matches are free.

## `emails` (type: `array`):

Person products only. One email per line.

## `phones` (type: `array`):

Person products only. Include the country code, e.g. +1 415 555 0100.

## `socialUrls` (type: `array`):

Person products only. LinkedIn, GitHub, X and similar profile URLs.

## `domains` (type: `array`):

Company products only, e.g. apify.com.

## `companyNames` (type: `array`):

Company products only. A domain matches more reliably than a name.

## `records` (type: `array`):

Objects with any Data Legion enrich fields, for lookups the lists above don't cover. People: email, email\_hash, phone, social\_url, linkedin\_id, legion\_id, or a name (full\_name, or first\_name + last\_name) with one of company, school, job\_title, city, state, country, postal\_code, address, birth\_date. Companies: domain, name, linkedin\_id, social\_url, ticker\_symbol, legion\_id, optionally industry.

## `minConfidence` (type: `string`):

Drop matches below this confidence. Leave empty for the API default.

## `requiredFields` (type: `string`):

Comma-separated fields a match must have, e.g. work\_email or phones.type:mobile. Matches without them count as no-match and aren't charged.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "product": "person_base_no_pii",
  "emails": [],
  "records": [
    {
      "full_name": "Jane Doe",
      "company": "Acme"
    }
  ]
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `results` (type: `string`):

One row per unique input record: matched profiles, no-matches and invalid inputs.
