## Pricing

from $18.00 / 1,000 result-items

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## 🌐 Domain Intelligence: WHOIS, DNS, SSL and Email Security

> **One row per domain with everything you need to qualify, monitor or audit it.** Registration and age, expiry, DNS records, email provider, SPF, DMARC and DKIM with an A to F grade, SSL certificate expiry, and website status with hosting and CMS hints.

Paste a list of domains, website URLs or even email addresses. The Actor cleans them, removes duplicates and checks each domain in parallel. Registration data comes from **RDAP** (the official WHOIS replacement), with an automatic **classic WHOIS fallback** for country domains that don't support RDAP yet (`.co`, `.io`, `.de` and many more). No API keys and no paid WHOIS subscription needed.

| 🎯 Who uses it | 💡 What for |
|---|---|
| Sales and lead gen teams, email deliverability consultants, IT and security teams, domain investors, agencies, SEO teams | Lead qualification (company age, email provider), deliverability audits, SSL and domain expiry monitoring, brand protection, domain portfolio checks |

### 📋 What it checks

- 🗓️ **Registration:** registered or likely available, registrar, created, updated and expiry dates, **domain age**, **days until expiry**, status codes and nameservers.
- 🧭 **DNS:** A, AAAA, NS, MX, TXT, CAA, SOA and the `www` CNAME.
- 📧 **Email:** does the domain accept email, **which provider** (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Zoho, Proofpoint...), SPF record, DMARC record and policy, DKIM selectors found, and an **A to F email security grade**.
- 🔒 **SSL:** issuer, valid from and to, **days until expiry**, whether the certificate is valid, and covered hostnames.
- 🖥️ **Website:** HTTP status, final URL after redirects, page title, response time, server, HSTS, and hosting and CMS hints (Cloudflare, CloudFront, Vercel, Shopify, WordPress, Wix, Webflow, Next.js...).

> ℹ️ **Free Apify plan:** runs return a preview of up to 10 results. Any paid Apify plan unlocks the full results.

### 📊 Output

Real results from a run:

| Domain | Registrar | Age | Email provider | Email grade | DMARC | SSL days left | Tech |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| apify.com | Amazon Registrar, Inc. | 17.3 years | Google Workspace | A | reject | 109 | Amazon CloudFront |
| shopify.com | MarkMonitor Inc. | 21.6 years | Google Workspace | A | reject | 39 | Cloudflare, Shopify |
| mercadolibre.com.co | MarkMonitor, Inc. | 26.7 years | Google Workspace | A | reject | 185 | Amazon CloudFront |
| example.co | Dynadot Inc | 0.4 years | Other / self-hosted | D | none | 73 | Cloudflare |

Unregistered domains come back with `isRegistered: false` and `likelyAvailable: true`.

### ⚙️ Input example

```json
{
    "domains": ["apify.com", "https://www.mercadolibre.com.co/ofertas", "ceo@shopify.com"],
    "includeWhois": true,
    "includeDns": true,
    "includeEmailSecurity": true,
    "includeSsl": true,
    "includeWebsite": true
}
```

Turn off the checks you don't need for faster runs.

### ✨ Why this one

- ✅ **Five tools in one row:** WHOIS, DNS, email security, SSL and website.
- ✅ **Country domains supported** with automatic WHOIS fallback.
- ✅ **Email provider detection** for B2B lead qualification.
- ✅ **Actionable grades and countdowns** (email grade, days to domain and SSL expiry).
- ✅ **Accepts messy input:** URLs and emails are cleaned into domains.

### ❓ FAQ

**Is "likely available" guaranteed?** No. It means the registry has no record. Always confirm with a registrar before buying.

**Why are some WHOIS fields empty?** Some registries (for example `.de`) publish very little registration data.

**How is the email grade calculated?** SPF strictness, DMARC policy (reject > quarantine > none) and DKIM presence. A means strong protection against spoofing.

### ⚖️ Disclaimer

This Actor queries public registration data, public DNS, and the public TLS and HTTP endpoints of each domain. Use it responsibly.

# Actor input Schema

## `domains` (type: `array`):

Paste domains (example.com), website URLs (https://www.example.com/page) or email addresses (name@example.com). They are cleaned and de-duplicated automatically.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Hard cap for the whole run. Leave empty for no cap.

## `includeWhois` (type: `boolean`):

Registrar, creation, update and expiry dates, domain age, status and availability. Uses RDAP with WHOIS fallback for country domains.

## `includeDns` (type: `boolean`):

A, AAAA, NS, MX, TXT, CAA, SOA and www CNAME.

## `includeEmailSecurity` (type: `boolean`):

Email provider (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365...), SPF, DMARC policy, DKIM selectors and an A to F security grade.

## `includeSsl` (type: `boolean`):

Issuer, validity dates, days until expiry, validity and covered hostnames.

## `includeWebsite` (type: `boolean`):

HTTP status, final URL after redirects, title, response time, server, hosting and CMS hints (Cloudflare, Shopify, WordPress...).

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Not needed. WHOIS, DNS and SSL checks do not use the proxy.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "domains": [
    "apify.com",
    "mercadolibre.com.co"
  ],
  "includeWhois": true,
  "includeDns": true,
  "includeEmailSecurity": true,
  "includeSsl": true,
  "includeWebsite": true
}
