## Pricing

from $25.00 / 1,000 result-items

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## 💸 Startup Funding Rounds: SEC Form D Tracker

> **See which US companies raised money this week, how much, and who runs them.** Every row is a real funding round filed with the SEC on Form D, with amount raised, industry, investor count, executives and directors, address and phone.

> 🕒 **Last updated:** 2026-10-05 · **45+ fields** per round · **about 450 operating companies per week** (about 1,460 Form D filings including funds) · **official SEC EDGAR data**

**Startup Funding Rounds** turns SEC Form D filings into a clean list of recently funded companies. US companies that raise money privately (seed, Series A and later, SAFEs, convertible notes, real estate syndications) must file a Form D within 15 days of the first sale. This Actor searches SEC EDGAR by filing date, reads each filing and returns one row per round. Investment funds are skipped by default, so you get operating companies only.

| 🎯 Who uses it | 💡 What for |
|---|---|
| B2B sales and SDR teams, VC and angel investors, recruiters, agencies, fintech and legal service providers, journalists | Prospect newly funded companies while they have budget, track competitors' rounds, source deals, find hiring companies, build market maps |

### 📋 What you get per funding round

- 💰 **The round:** amount already raised, total offering size (or "indefinite"), amount remaining, minimum investment, number of investors, whether non-accredited investors joined, date of first sale.
- 🏷️ **The deal type:** securities offered (equity, debt, options, SAFE and other described types) and the exemption used (Rule 506(b), 506(c), Section 4(a)(5)...).
- 🏢 **The company:** legal name, SEC CIK, industry group, entity type, state of incorporation, year of incorporation, revenue range (when disclosed), street address, city, state, ZIP and phone.
- 👥 **The people:** every executive officer, director and promoter listed on the filing, with their roles and city, plus the signer and their title.
- 🤝 **Placement agents:** brokers paid to sell the round and their CRD numbers, plus sales commissions and finder's fees.
- 🔗 **Sources:** links to the SEC filing page and the original Form D document.

### ⚙️ Input

| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| `daysBack` | Filings from the last N days, today included (default 7). |
| `dateFrom` / `dateTo` | Exact filing date range (YYYY-MM-DD). Overrides `daysBack`. |
| `industries` | Keep only these Form D industry groups, for example Biotechnology, Other Technology, Pharmaceuticals or Retailing. |
| `excludeFunds` | Skip pooled investment funds (on by default). |
| `includeAmendments` | Also return Form D/A amendments (off by default, so each row is a new round). |
| `states` | Keep only companies based in these US states. |
| `minAmountSold` | Keep only rounds that already raised at least this amount in USD. |
| `maxItems` | Cap the number of rounds. |

**Example: tech and biotech startups in California that raised $1M or more in the last 14 days**

```json
{
    "daysBack": 14,
    "industries": ["Other Technology", "Biotechnology"],
    "states": ["CA"],
    "minAmountSold": 1000000
}
```

```json
{
    "dateFrom": "2026-09-01",
    "dateTo": "2026-09-30"
}
```

### 📊 Output

```
Some fields can be `null` because filers leave them out: `totalOfferingAmount` is `null` when the offering size is "Indefinite" (then `offeringAmountIndefinite` is `true`), `yearOfIncorporation` is only given for companies incorporated within the last 5 years, and `brokers` is empty when nobody was paid to sell the round.
### ✨ Why this one
- ✅ **Operating companies only by default.** About two thirds of Form D filings are hedge, private equity and venture funds. They are filtered out at the search step, so the run stays fast.
- ✅ **New rounds, not paperwork.** Amendments are off by default, so a company does not show up twice for the same round.
- ✅ **Every person on the filing,** with all their roles, not just the first name.
- ✅ **Clean numbers.** Amounts are numbers in USD, dates are ISO, phones are formatted, and all-caps names are fixed.
- ✅ **Straight from the source.** Data comes from SEC EDGAR, with a link to the original filing on every row.
### 🚀 How to use
1. Create a free Apify account.
2. Open the Actor and pick the dates, industries and states you care about.
3. Click **Start**.
4. Download the results or send them to Google Sheets, HubSpot, Make, Zapier, n8n or the API. Schedule it daily or weekly for a fresh feed of funded companies.
### 💼 Use cases
- **Sales teams:** reach companies right after they raise, when they buy software, services and hires.
- **Investors:** track who is raising in your sector and how big the rounds are.
- **Recruiters:** funded startups hire next. Contact the founders listed on the filing.
- **Agencies and service providers:** legal, accounting, design and marketing firms targeting new startups.
- **Researchers and journalists:** measure private funding by state, industry or month.
### ❓ FAQ
**Where does the data come from?** From Form D filings on SEC EDGAR, the official public database of the US Securities and Exchange Commission.
**How fresh is it?** Filings appear on EDGAR the day they are filed. Companies must file within 15 days of the first sale, so most rounds show up within two weeks of closing.
**Does it cover companies outside the US?** It covers any company that files a Form D, which means offerings sold in the US. Most issuers are US companies.
**Why is the amount different from the press release?** Form D reports what was sold so far under that offering. A round announced later can include more money, and some companies file before the round closes.
**Do you return emails or websites?** Form D does not include them. Run the companies through [Company Enrichment](https://apify.com/datamole/company-enrichment) to add the website, emails, socials and tech stack.
**How many rounds per week?** In our tests, about 1,460 Form D filings per week, of which about 450 are operating companies (not funds) and about 900 are new rounds (not amendments).
**Are funds available?** Yes. Turn off `excludeFunds` to include hedge, private equity, venture and real estate funds, with their fund type.
**On the free Apify plan?** Runs return a preview of up to 10 rounds. Any paid Apify plan unlocks all results.
### 🔌 Integrations
Works with the Apify API, schedules, webhooks, Google Sheets, HubSpot and Salesforce (via Make, Zapier or n8n), Slack alerts and any tool that reads JSON.
