## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## TikTok Shop Videos — Search, Products & Comments

Get structured TikTok data for research and automation. Choose an operation, select a market, and export the results as JSON, CSV or Excel. No supplier API key is required.

### Quick start

The example input searches the United States market and returns up to 10 rows. For details and related lists, first search in your target market, then copy the returned ID into Entity IDs and select the relevant operation.

### Operations

All operations require a market.

| Operation | Input value | Additional required fields |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Search Videos | `videos-search` | Market only |
| Video Details | `videos-detail` | ids |
| Products Featured in a Video | `videos-products` | ids |
| Video Comments | `videos-reviews` | ids |
| Similar Videos | `videos-similar` | ids |

### Inputs and limits

- Select one operation per run. Fill only the filters listed for that operation.
- IDs must be strings from search results in the same market. URLs and handles are not resolved.
- Maximum results is a run-wide limit. Search and related data use pages of up to 10; rankings use up to 20. Availability and pagination depth depend on the source.
- Dates use UTC and accept YYYY-MM-DD or YYYYMMDD. The latest reporting day may be incomplete.
- Detail includes do not fetch related lists. Select a separate operation for comments, products, creators or videos.
- Image search, Amazon, standalone livestream queries and video downloads are not included.

### Results

Each result preserves the data fields returned by the source and adds an \_context object for the market, operation, source ID and request ID. Detail queries can return multiple records. Trend and market report rows may contain nested arrays; use JSON to preserve them. Missing values remain missing or null rather than zero. Monetary units remain as provided by the source and are not universally USD.

The SUMMARY output records completion status, row count and warnings. Empty results are valid: IDs that return nothing are listed in emptyInputs with a warning. Paginated lists keep the first record per ID, and removed repeats are counted in duplicatesRemoved. Temporary failures (HTTP 429, 5xx and network errors) are retried up to three times, honoring Retry-After. An upstream failure is reported as a failure or incomplete run, not disguised as an empty successful result.

### Coverage and interpretation

Data coverage varies by market, entity and date. The source refreshes data periodically; this is not a promise of real-time completeness. Sales and GMV fields may be estimates. Historical availability varies by metric. Creator content categories and product categories use different identifiers.

### Pricing and free access

You pay through Apify only; no supplier account is needed. Each paginated row (search, rankings and related lists) costs $3.00 per 1,000. Each ID in a detail query or trend, and each market report, costs $0.015, including any additional detail sections. Empty results, failed requests and removed duplicates are not charged; rows already delivered by a run that later fails remain charged.

Apify Free plan users can try this Actor with their platform credits and receive up to 20 results per run. Set a maximum cost per run to control spend: the Actor stops at that limit and keeps what it has delivered.

### Support

Open an issue on this Actor with the run ID, selected operation and market. Never include passwords or API keys.
