## Pricing

from $1.00 / 1,000 listings

This Actor is paid per event and usage. You are charged both the fixed price for specific events and for Apify platform usage.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

**Bayut Property Scraper** creates a structured dataset of property listings collected from Bayut.com. Each dataset item can include price, address, rooms, baths, area, furnishing and completion status, agency and agent fields, image URLs, permit and reference numbers, and coordinates. Query the source by purpose, location, parent emirate, category, and property type, then narrow with price, size, room, furnishing, and completion filters. Control page and item limits with `maxPages` and `maxItems`, and retrieve records through the Apify Dataset API or export them as JSON, CSV, Excel, XML, or another supported format. The default charge is $0.001 per listing on every plan.

### Dataset at a glance

| Property | Value |
|---|---|
| Source | bayut.com |
| Record unit | One property listing |
| Input methods | Purpose, location, category, property type, and optional filters |
| Main identifiers | `id`, `externalID`, `propertyUrl` |
| Delivery | Apify Dataset and API |
| Export formats | JSON, CSV, Excel, XML, and other Apify dataset exports |
| Update model | Fresh records per Actor run |
| Pricing | Pay per event. `listing` is $0.001 on every plan |

### Coverage and available records

Supported queries are for-sale and for-rent listings in residential or commercial categories. `location` accepts a city, a neighbourhood, or a path such as `dubai/dubai-creek-harbour`. For a neighbourhood, set `parentLocation` to the parent emirate. Leave `parentLocation` empty for a top-level city or a full path.

`subCategory` accepts the property types in the input schema, including apartments, villas, townhouses, penthouses, offices, warehouses, shops, and the other listed types. `status` is `all`, `ready`, or `off-plan`. `rentFrequency` applies to rent listings and accepts `yearly`, `monthly`, `weekly`, or `daily`. Room, bath, area, and price filters are optional inclusive bounds. Area inputs are square feet. Prices are AED.

`maxPages` defaults to 1. Leave `maxItems` empty to keep every listing returned within the page limit. `superHot` is supported only for `purpose` `for-sale` with `status` `all`. The Actor does not store a historical archive. A later run returns the listings available at that time.

The stable fields are the dataset schema fields below. A record can also keep additional source fields that are not in that schema. Those extra fields are conditional.

### Example dataset record

This record is from a prior Bayut rent run. Fields that the current schema always writes, but that this saved example did not include, are left null or empty. Phone numbers from that older example are omitted.

```json
{
  "coverImageUrl": "https://bayut-production.s3.eu-central-1.amazonaws.com/image/796325979/a1f403e5e2d647528fba022789e93318",
  "propertyUrl": "https://www.bayut.com/property/details-12891557.html",
  "priceFormatted": "AED 350,000 / yearly",
  "propertyType": "Apartment",
  "fullAddress": "Abu Dhabi, Saadiyat Island, Saadiyat Cultural District, Mamsha Al Saadiyat, Lilac",
  "purpose": "for-rent",
  "rooms": 1,
  "baths": 2,
  "area": 142.7,
  "furnishingStatus": "furnished",
  "completionStatus": "completed",
  "agencyName": "Altura Real Estate Services",
  "agencyUrl": "https://www.bayut.com/companies/altura-real-estate-services-106795/",
  "agentName": "Anna Cooper",
  "agentUrl": "https://www.bayut.com/brokers/anna-cooper-2523136.html",
  "contactName": "Anna Cooper",
  "imageGallery": [],
  "photoCount": 12,
  "hasVideo": false,
  "externalID": "12891557",
  "referenceNumber": "A-1055",
  "permitNumber": "20250000607048",
  "createdAt": null,
  "updatedAt": null,
  "geography": {
    "lat": 24.538695767391,
    "lng": 54.41033319928
  }
}
```

That example matches a for-rent apartment query. The saved record did not include `title`, `id`, `imageGallery`, `videoCount`, `createdAt`, or `updatedAt`. The current output model writes those fields on a new run. `title` and `id` are required by that model.

### Retrieve the data through the API

1. Start `datascrapers/bayut-scraper` with the JSON input.
2. Wait until the run finishes, or call the run endpoint that waits for completion.
3. Read items from the run’s default dataset.
4. Paginate with `offset` and `limit`, or export the dataset from the run.

```bash
curl "https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/datascrapers~bayut-scraper/runs?token=$APIFY_TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"purpose":"for-sale","location":"Dubai","category":"residential","subCategory":"apartments","maxItems":20}'
```

Replace the run id below with the id returned by that call.

```bash
curl "https://api.apify.com/v2/datasets/$DATASET_ID/items?clean=true&format=json&token=$APIFY_TOKEN"
```

Other languages are on the Actor’s API tab: https://apify.com/datascrapers/bayut-scraper

### Data quality and record handling

Address, agency, agent, permit, and reference fields are conditional and null when Bayut does not show them. `imageGallery` is an array and can be empty. `createdAt` and `updatedAt` are numeric timestamps, not formatted dates.

The Actor does not deduplicate across runs. Deduplicate on `externalID` or `propertyUrl`. Within one run, `maxItems` stops collection after that many records. A source change can add or drop fields that are not in the dataset schema. There is no historical snapshot unless you store the dataset yourself.

The default proxy is Apify residential with country `AE`. Runs without a working proxy can return fewer records or fail.

### Export and pipeline examples

| Destination | Recommended method | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| PostgreSQL or Supabase | Dataset API or a webhook consumer | Store listings and upsert on `externalID` |
| Google Sheets | Apify integration | Share a filtered export with a team |
| S3 or other cloud storage | Scheduled dataset export or an integration | Keep one file per run |
| Warehouse | Dataset items as JSON or CSV | Join listings to other property datasets on URL or external id |

### Pricing and cost examples

Billing is pay per event. The `listing` event is the primary event. It is charged once for each property record pushed to the dataset. The same price applies to Free, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond.

| Event | Price on every plan | When it is charged |
|---|---:|---|
| listing | $0.001 | One property record |

| Records | Estimated event cost |
|---:|---:|
| 1,000 | $1.00 |
| 10,000 | $10.00 |

These are the default prices set for this account. They are placeholders and can be changed in the Actor pricing settings. Estimates do not include Apify platform usage, which is billed to the user in addition to event charges. `maxPages` and filters change how many listings are returned, and therefore the event total.

### Limitations and responsible data use

The Actor returns publicly available Bayut listing fields from the query you submit. It does not guarantee that every Bayut listing, emirate, or historical price is present. Missing agency, permit, or media values are expected on some listings. Website changes can change which fields are populated.

Each run is a current snapshot. It is not a stored history. You are responsible for complying with privacy, contractual, and legal requirements for the records you collect and store.

### Dataset questions

#### What does one dataset item represent?

One Bayut property listing, either for sale or for rent, with the price, location, and agency fields available for that listing.

#### Which field should I use as a unique identifier?

Use `externalID` or `propertyUrl`. `id` is the Bayut property id when the current run includes it.

#### Are fields nullable or conditional?

Yes. Agency, agent, permit, reference, rooms, baths, area, and geography can be null. `imageGallery` can be empty. Extra source fields beyond the dataset schema are conditional.

#### Can I retrieve the records as CSV or JSON?

Yes. Export the default dataset as JSON, CSV, Excel, XML, or another format Apify supports, or call the Dataset API.

#### How do I paginate large datasets?

Raise `maxPages` and, if needed, `maxItems` on the input. After the run, page through the dataset with `offset` and `limit`.

#### Does the Actor return historical data?

No. Each run returns the listings available for that query at run time. Store datasets yourself if you need a timeline.

#### What counts as a billable result?

Each property record charges one `listing` event at the default price of $0.001. Filters and `maxItems` change the count. Platform usage is separate.
