## Pricing

from $1.00 / 1,000 dataset items

This Actor is paid per event and usage. You are charged both the fixed price for specific events and for Apify platform usage.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

**Daft.ie Property Scraper** creates a structured dataset of property listings collected from Daft.ie. Each dataset item is one listing and can include the listing id, title, price, bedroom and bathroom counts, property type, category, BER rating, floor area, coordinates, photo URLs, seller branch, and the public path. Query the source with a Daft search URL, or with `section`, `searchArea`, property type, and facilities. Cap the run with `maxItems`. Retrieve records through the Apify Dataset API or export them as JSON, CSV, Excel, or XML.

### Dataset at a glance

| Property | Value |
|---|---|
| Source | daft.ie |
| Record unit | One property listing |
| Input methods | `searchUrls`, or `section` plus `searchArea` |
| Main identifiers | `id`, `seoFriendlyPath` |
| Delivery | Apify Dataset and API |
| Export formats | JSON, CSV, Excel, XML |
| Update model | Fresh records per Actor run |
| Pricing | $1.00 per 1,000 `dataset-item` events. Platform usage is billed separately. |

### Coverage and available records

Sections are residential sale, residential rent, commercial sale, commercial rent, sharing, student accommodation, and new homes. `searchArea` is a place such as `dublin-city` or `Galway`. An empty area is an Ireland-wide search for that section. `searchUrls` replace the manual filters for each pasted results URL.

Filters that the input schema exposes include price, beds, baths, floor area, property types, and facilities. `maxItems` limits how many listings are saved. Seller fields can include a branch name and a licence number. The example below uses a branch name, not a person name.

### Query and input reference

| Field | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| searchUrls | array of strings | Daft results URLs. When set, manual filters are ignored for that URL. |
| section | string | Listing section. Default `residential-for-sale`. |
| searchArea | string | Place name resolved by Daft. Empty means all of Ireland. |
| searchQuery | string | Keyword or address sent as the search terms. |
| propertyTypes | array | Types such as `houses`. |
| facilities | array | Amenity filters such as `alarm`. |
| availability | string | Listing availability filter. |
| maxItems | integer | Maximum listings to save. |
| proxyConfiguration | object | Apify proxy settings. |

### Retrieve the data through the API

```python
from apify_client import ApifyClient
client = ApifyClient("YOUR-APIFY-TOKEN")
run = client.actor("datascrapers/daft-ie-scraper").call(run_input={
    "section": "residential-for-sale",
    "searchArea": "dublin-city",
    "propertyTypes": ["houses"],
    "availability": "published",
    "maxItems": 5,
})
for item in client.dataset(run["defaultDatasetId"]).iterate_items():
    print(item["id"], item["title"], item["price"])
```

### Data quality and record handling

Deduplicate on `id`. `price` and bedroom counts are the display strings Daft returns, not parsed numbers. `seoFriendlyPath` is a path, so a full URL is `https://www.daft.ie` plus that path. A listing without a BER rating leaves `berRating` empty. The same id can be collected again on a later run if it is still published.

### Pricing and cost examples

| Event | When it fires | Every plan |
|---|---|---:|
| dataset-item | Every listing saved | $1.00 / 1,000 |

The price file in this Actor states a flat $1 per 1,000 listings and does not list plan discounts. Platform usage is billed separately.

1,000 saved listings cost $1.00 in event charges, plus platform usage on the Apify plan.

### Limitations and responsible data use

Daft can change sections, area names, and price text. Asking prices and rents are listing text, not transaction prices. Agency licence numbers are public listing fields. Use the dataset for market research. Do not use contact fields for outreach that breaks applicable rules.

### Dataset questions

#### What is one record?

One Daft.ie listing.

#### Which field is the key?

`id`.

#### Do search URLs override the section?

Yes. Each `searchUrls` entry is converted to that page's search, and the manual filters are not applied to it.
