## Pricing

from $0.97 / 1,000 results

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

**Disboard Scraper** creates a structured dataset of Discord server records collected from disboard.org. Each dataset item represents one Discord server listing and can include the server name, description, community tags, approximate online members, star rating, review count, icon, bump timestamp, and discovery source. Query the source using a community tag, keyword search, or a direct DISBOARD URL, control the result limit with `maxItems`, and retrieve records through the Apify Dataset API or export them as JSON, CSV, Excel, or XML.

### Dataset at a glance

| Property | Value |
|---|---|
| Source | disboard.org |
| Record unit | One Discord server listing |
| Input methods | `communityTags`, `searchQueries`, `startUrls` |
| Main identifiers | `serverId`, `disboardUrl` |
| Delivery | Apify Dataset and API |
| Export formats | JSON, CSV, Excel, XML |
| Update model | Fresh records per Actor run |
| Pricing | $1 per 1,000 servers |

### Coverage and available records

The Actor returns Discord server listings from DISBOARD, resolved from community tags, keyword searches, or direct URLs. Supported coverage includes:

- Browsing by community tag (for example `gaming`, `anime`, `chat`, `community`).
- Keyword search across server listings.
- Direct tag-page, search-result, and server URLs via `startUrls`.
- NSFW server inclusion toggled by `includeNsfw` (applies to search queries).
- Listing metadata including name, description, tags, approximate online members, rating, review count, icon, and bump timestamp.

Community tags and search queries can be combined in the same run; the Actor processes all inputs and deduplicates servers by `serverId`.

### Data dictionary

The most stable field for deduplication is `serverId`.

### Example dataset record

```json
{
  "serverId": "1508521138026844303",
  "name": "Carrot Crops",
  "disboardUrl": "https://disboard.org/server/1508521138026844303",
  "iconUrl": "https://cdn.discordapp.com/icons/1508521138026844303/611ac0c60205c4e6300e627fbe172cc2.jpg",
  "onlineMembers": 14,
  "bumpedAt": "2026-08-23 08:45:30 (UTC)",
  "bumpedAtText": "4 minutes ago",
  "rating": null,
  "reviewCount": null,
  "hasReviews": false,
  "isNew": false,
  "tags": [
    { "slug": "community", "name": "community" },
    { "slug": "chat", "name": "chat" },
    { "slug": "furry", "name": "furry" }
  ],
  "description": "Server for funnnnies and random stuff but it's currently small so be supportive and join if you want...",
  "rank": 14,
  "sourceType": "tag",
  "sourceTag": "chat",
  "sourceQuery": null,
  "sourceUrl": "https://disboard.org/servers/tag/chat",
  "page": 1
}
```

This record was produced by browsing the `chat` community tag.

### Query and input reference

| Input | Type | Required | Default | Accepted values | Description |
|---|---:|---|---|---|---|
| `communityTags` | array | No | none | DISBOARD community tags | Browse servers by community tag. |
| `searchQueries` | array | No | none | Free-text terms | Search DISBOARD by keyword. |
| `startUrls` | array | No | none | DISBOARD tag, search, or server URLs | Direct URLs to scrape. |
| `includeNsfw` | boolean | No | `false` | `true` / `false` | Include NSFW servers in search results. |
| `maxItems` | integer | No | `0` (unlimited) | `0` or a positive integer | Maximum servers to scrape. |
| `proxyConfiguration` | object | No | Apify Residential | Apify proxy settings | Proxy configuration. |

At least one of `communityTags`, `searchQueries`, or `startUrls` is required.

Minimal request:

```json
{
  "searchQueries": ["python"],
  "maxItems": 10,
  "includeNsfw": false,
  "proxyConfiguration": {
    "useApifyProxy": true,
    "apifyProxyGroups": ["RESIDENTIAL"]
  }
}
```

### Retrieve the data through the API

1. Start the Actor with a JSON input containing community tags, search queries, or start URLs.
2. Wait for the run to finish, or use the synchronous run endpoint.
3. Retrieve items from the run's default dataset via the Dataset API.
4. Paginate the dataset or export it in the required format.

The Apify Console generates ready-to-run code for Python, JavaScript, and other languages in the Actor's API tab; see that tab for the current endpoint and authentication details. Never place a real API token in a URL or example.

### Data quality and record handling

- Ratings and review counts are conditional and appear only when DISBOARD exposes them.
- `onlineMembers` is the approximate count shown on the listing card, not an exact member total.
- Within a run, servers are deduplicated by `serverId`. Across runs, key on `serverId`.
- Source changes to DISBOARD can affect extraction; the Actor fails soft so a single bad listing does not stop the run.
- Enable Apify Residential proxies (the default) to reduce blocks; broader tags return more listings.

### Export and pipeline examples

| Destination | Recommended method | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| PostgreSQL/Supabase | Dataset API or webhook consumer | Store server records keyed on `serverId` |
| Google Sheets | Apify integration | Shareable community list |
| S3/cloud storage | Scheduled export or integration | Periodic community archive |

### Pricing and cost examples

Billing is pay-per-event. Each server listing written to the dataset is one `dataset-item` charge; pages crawled do not add per-item fees. `apify-actor-start` is a small one-time per-run charge.

| Records | Estimated base cost |
|---:|---:|
| 1,000 servers | $1.00 |
| 10,000 servers | $10.00 |

Estimates assume the published pay-per-event model and do not include Apify platform usage; Apify subscription plan discounts may reduce the per-event rate.

### Limitations and responsible data use

- Only publicly accessible DISBOARD listings are returned; `rating` and `reviewCount` are absent where not exposed.
- `onlineMembers` is approximate and reflects the listing card at run time.
- Extraction depends on DISBOARD's current availability and site structure, which can change without notice.
- No historical snapshots are stored unless the user archives dataset exports.
- Users are responsible for compliance with applicable terms of service and privacy obligations.

### Dataset questions

#### What does one dataset item represent?

One dataset item is a single Discord server listing, identified by `serverId`.

#### Which field should I use as a unique identifier?

Use `serverId`; it is the Discord guild ID and is stable across runs.

#### Are fields nullable or conditional?

Yes. `rating`, `reviewCount`, `iconUrl`, and `description` depend on what DISBOARD exposes for the listing.

#### Can I retrieve the records as CSV or JSON?

Yes. The dataset can be exported as JSON, CSV, Excel, or XML from the Apify Console or Dataset API.

#### How do I paginate large datasets?

Raise `maxItems` (set `0` for unlimited) to collect more records in a single run, then paginate via the Dataset API.

#### What counts as a billable result?

Each server listing written to the dataset is one `dataset-item` charge.
