## Pricing

from $1.38 / 1,000 products

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

**OTTO.de Scraper** creates a structured dataset of OTTO.de product and review records collected from search queries and category, search, or product URLs. Each dataset item can include the product name, brand, price, suggested price, discount label, rating, review count, availability, category, and identifiers, or one customer review with its rating, title, text, reviewer, and review date. Query the source using a search term or URL with optional filters, control the result limit with `maxItems`, and retrieve records through the Apify Dataset API or export them as JSON, CSV, Excel, or XML.

### Dataset at a glance

| Property | Value |
|---|---|
| Source | otto.de |
| Record unit | One product, product detail, or customer review |
| Input methods | Search queries, start URLs, optional filters |
| Main identifiers | `productId`, `variationId`, `articleNumber`, `url` |
| Delivery | Apify Dataset and API |
| Export formats | JSON, CSV, Excel, XML |
| Update model | Fresh records per Actor run |
| Pricing | Pay per event, from $1.50 per 1,000 events |

### Coverage and available records

The Actor returns three record types:

- **`product`** — product listing records from search or category pages.
- **`product-details`** — fuller product records when `includeProductDetails` is enabled, adding description, identifiers, selected size, stock, and shipping.
- **`product-review`** — one dataset row per customer review when `includeReviews` is enabled.

The Actor supports a wide set of OTTO filters including brand, color, size, shoe size (EU/UK/US), target group, promotion, minimum discount percent, price range, rating, material, seller, season, style, and additional custom filters via `additionalFilters`. Results can be sorted with `sortBy`.

}
```
Advanced request:
```json
{
  "searchQueries": ["shoes"],
  "sortBy": "topseller",
  "brands": ["nike"],

  "maxPrice": 150,

  "maxReviewsPerProduct": 10
}
```
### Retrieve the data through the API
1. Start the Actor with a JSON input containing `searchQueries` and/or `startUrls`.
2. Wait for the run to finish.
3. Read records from the run's default dataset.
4. Paginate or export the dataset.
```python
from apify_client import ApifyClient

client = ApifyClient("YOUR_API_TOKEN")
run = client.actor("datascrapers/otto-de-scraper").call(
    run_input={
        "searchQueries": ["shoes"],
        "maxItems": 20,
        "includeProductDetails": True,
    }
)
for item in client.dataset(run["defaultDatasetId"]).iterate_items():
    print(item["recordType"], item.get("name"), item.get("price"))
```
Apify's generated API tab documents the equivalent calls for other languages.
### Data quality and record handling
- **Completeness** — detail fields (description, identifiers, sizes, shipping) are conditional on `includeProductDetails`; review fields are conditional on `includeReviews`.
- **Source changes** — prices, availability, and discounts reflect the response at scrape time.
- **Deduplication** — the Actor does not deduplicate across runs; use `productId` (and `variationId`) as the stable key.
- **Retry/error behavior** — products or reviews that cannot be resolved are skipped; the run continues.
- **Normalization** — prices are numbers in EUR; ratings are numeric.
### Export and pipeline examples
| Destination | Recommended method | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| PostgreSQL/Supabase | Dataset API or webhook consumer | Product and price history |
| Google Sheets | Apify integration | Competitive price tracking |
| S3/cloud storage | Scheduled export or integration | Catalog snapshots |
### Pricing and cost examples
Billing is **pay per event**: each record pushed is one charge, and each event type is priced the same. Platform compute is included in the actor usage fee.
| Event | What counts | Price |
|---|---|---|
| `product` | Product listing record | $1.50 / 1,000 |
| `product-details` | Product detail record | $1.50 / 1,000 |
| `product-review` | Customer review record | $1.50 / 1,000 |
| Records | Estimated base cost |
|---:|---:|
| 1,000 | $1.50 |
| 10,000 | $15.00 |
| 100,000 | $150.00 |
Estimates depend on the verified pricing model and which options you enable.
### Limitations and responsible data use
- Only publicly accessible OTTO.de product and review data is returned.
- Prices, availability, and discounts change frequently and reflect the moment of collection.
- Fields may be missing or conditional depending on the product and options enabled.
- No historical snapshots are stored unless you keep them yourself.
- You are responsible for complying with OTTO's terms and applicable laws.
### Dataset questions
#### What does one dataset item represent?
One product, product detail, or customer review record, depending on the options enabled.
#### Which field should I use as a unique identifier?
Use `productId` for products and `reviewId` for reviews.
#### Are fields nullable or conditional?
Yes. Detail fields are conditional on `includeProductDetails`, and review fields are conditional on `includeReviews`.
#### Can I retrieve the records as CSV or JSON?
Yes. Export the default dataset as JSON, CSV, Excel, or XML, or read it through the Apify Dataset API.
#### How do I paginate large datasets?
Set `maxItems` to cap products, or paginate the dataset through the Dataset API.
#### What counts as a billable result?
Each product, product-detail, or review record pushed to the dataset is one event charge.
