## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Amazon Product Scraper — ASIN prices, BSR, variants (no login)

**Amazon Product Scraper** extracts product data from Amazon by **ASIN or product URL** on **13 marketplaces**: title, **price**, list price, **stars**, **review count**, brand, availability, seller, **bullet points**, **images**, **best sellers rank (BSR)**, details table, breadcrumbs and **variant ASINs**. No Amazon API, no login, no cookies.

### What does it do?

Paste ASINs or Amazon product URLs and get one clean row per product — ready for **price monitoring**, **catalog enrichment**, competitor tracking, **dropshipping research** and e-commerce analytics. Download data as JSON, CSV or Excel.

### Features

- **Scrape Amazon by ASIN** or paste product URLs; marketplace is detected from the domain.
- 13 marketplaces: .com, .co.uk, .de, .fr, .it, .es, .ca, .in, .co.jp, .com.au, .nl, .pl, .se.
- Fields: title, brand, **price & list price**, currency, **stars**, **reviews count**, availability, seller, features, images, **best sellers rank**, breadcrumbs, details and **variant ASINs**.
- `onlyNew` for scheduled monitoring, `maxItems` cap, concurrency control, optional datacenter proxy.
- Never solves CAPTCHAs — a robot check returns a free `captcha` row so you can slow down.

### How to scrape Amazon products

1. Add **ASINs** (or product URLs) and choose the **marketplace**.
2. Run the Actor — no proxy is needed for normal volumes.
3. Export JSON / CSV / Excel or fetch via API.

### Example output (real run)

```json
{
  "id": "B07ZLGR1B1",
  "asin": "B07ZLGR1B1",
  "url": "https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07ZLGR1B1",
  "schemaVersion": 1
}
```

### Pricing

Pay per event: **$5 per 1,000 products** ($0.005 each). ASINs that do not exist or are blocked are free.

### Limitations

**Volume:** Amazon rate-limits one IP at roughly 1,000 requests (about 11% robot checks in our 1,093-ASIN test, then a sustained block). The Actor slows itself down on robot checks and never solves CAPTCHAs; for bulk jobs split work into runs of a few hundred ASINs. Residential proxies are not supported (they cost more than the price per product).

Price and seller are empty when Amazon shows no buy box (unavailable items). A robot check returns a free `captcha` row — the Actor never solves CAPTCHAs. Individual review texts (login-gated) and ZIP-specific delivery prices are not included.

### Use cases

Price tracking and repricing · product data enrichment · market and competitor research · dropshipping product research · BSR monitoring.

### FAQ

**Do I need the Amazon API?** No — this reads public product pages.
**Does it scrape customer reviews?** It returns the **star rating and review count**. Individual review texts require login and are not included.
**Why is the price empty for some ASINs?** Amazon shows no buy box when an item is unavailable; `availability` says so.

### Amazon scraper without the Amazon API

This Amazon scraper returns product information without the Amazon API: scrape Amazon data for ASINs, including prices, descriptions, product specs, ratings and best sellers rank, and download it as JSON, CSV or Excel.

### Is it legal? No login, no cookies

This Actor only reads **publicly available** pages. It never asks for a cookie, password or account and does not access private data. You are responsible for using the data in line with the source site's terms and applicable law (GDPR/CCPA for personal data).
