## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## AliExpress Search Scraper

Scrape **AliExpress search and category results** at scale: **price, original price, discount, rating, units sold**, Choice badge, free shipping, **delivery estimate**, local-warehouse flag, images and product links. Choose the **ship-to country, currency and language**, sort by best match, orders or price, filter by price range — and get up to **3,600 products per search**.

Fast and reliable: no browser, no login. If AliExpress shows a verification page, the request is retried automatically from a fresh IP, so your runs finish.

### What can you do with it?

- **Dropshipping & product research** — find best sellers (`sortBy: orders`), big discounts and products shipped from local warehouses.
- **Price monitoring** — schedule daily runs and track prices and discounts of a niche or category.
- **Market & competitor analysis** — compare prices, ratings and sales volume across keywords and countries.
- **E-commerce catalogs & AI agents** — feed clean product data into your app, spreadsheet or agent via API.

### What data do you get?

One result per product:

| Field | Example |
|---|---|
| `title`, `productId`, `url` | Pink Glitter Bling Clear Soft Case…, 1005010089105804, product link |
| `price`, `originalPrice`, `discountPercent`, `currency` | 0.33, 4.59, 92, USD |
| `rating`, `soldCount`, `soldText` | 4.9, 59637, "50K+ sold" — `soldCount` is the **exact** number of orders, not the rounded "50K+" |
| `shipsFrom` | CN, DE, CZ, ES… — the country the item ships from |
| `isChoice`, `freeShipping`, `shipsFromLocalWarehouse` | AliExpress Choice, free shipping, local warehouse |
| `deliveryDaysMin`, `deliveryDaysMax`, `deliveryDateFrom`, `deliveryDateTo` | 8, 12, 2026-10-15, 2026-10-19 — delivery time to your *Ship to* country |
| `deliveryEstimate` | Delivery: Oct 14 - 18 (the label on the card, when shown) |
| `tags` | badges shown on the card, e.g. "Lowest price in 90 days", "Top selling on AliExpress" |
| `imageUrl`, `images` | main image and gallery images |
| `isSponsored`, `newShopperDeal` | ad placement, new-shopper price |
| `listedAt` | date the product was listed |
| `categoryIds` | AliExpress category IDs of the product (from top level to leaf) |
| `search`, `position`, `page`, `shipTo` | where the product appeared |

`productId` is always the **global AliExpress product ID**, so the same product has the same ID in every country.

### How to use

1. Add **search terms** (e.g. `wireless earbuds`) and/or paste **AliExpress search or category URLs**.
2. Set **max products per search**, sort order and an optional price range.
3. Pick the **ship-to country** and **currency**.
4. Click **Start** and export as JSON, CSV, Excel, or via API.

#### Example input

```json
{
  "searchTerms": ["wireless earbuds", "led strip lights"],
  "maxItemsPerSearch": 500,
  "sortBy": "orders",
  "minPrice": 5,
  "maxPrice": 50,
  "shipTo": "DE",
  "currency": "EUR"
}
```

### Pricing

Pay per result: **$2.00 per 1,000 products**, plus a tiny start fee of $0.00005 per run. Platform usage (compute and proxies) is included — you are not charged anything else.

| Example | Cost |
|---|---|
| one search with 600 products | $1.20 |
| 10,000 products | $20 |

Set a maximum cost for a run and the Actor stops when it is reached.

### Tips

- **Prices are the prices AliExpress shows to a new, logged-out shopper** in the selected country, including current promotions. Products with a special new-shopper price are marked with `newShopperDeal`.
- AliExpress shows logged-out visitors a few "FREE with any purchase" gift cards without a real price — they are skipped unless you enable *Include new-shopper gift cards*.
- AliExpress mixes results slightly between pages; duplicates are removed automatically, so you always get unique products.
- One search can return up to 60 pages (3,600 products). For more, split your search (e.g. by price range or several keywords).

### FAQ

**Can it scrape product detail pages or reviews?** This Actor focuses on search and category results. Reviewer names and other personal data are not collected.

**Can I use it from my app or AI agent?** Yes — through the Apify API, Python/JavaScript clients, Zapier, Make, or as a tool for AI agents via Apify MCP.

**Why is `originalPrice` sometimes different from the strikethrough price I see?** In the EU, AliExpress hides strikethrough prices on search cards; the Actor then takes the list price from the card's data, so you still get `originalPrice` and `discountPercent`.

**Missing a field?** Open an issue on the Issues tab — feedback is welcome.
