## Pricing

Pay per event

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Shopify Store Scraper & Price Monitor

Scrape **every product of any Shopify store** — titles, variants (size, color), prices, compare-at prices, discounts, stock status, images, tags, vendor — and **monitor competitors automatically**: schedule the Actor and get only what changed since the last run: **new products, price drops, price increases, sold out, back in stock, removed**.

No browser, no login, no API key — fast and cheap even for stores with 10,000+ products.

### Why this Shopify scraper?

- ✅ **Change monitoring built in** — no spreadsheets diffing, no extra tools. Each row is tagged `new`, `price_down`, `price_up`, `sold_out`, `back_in_stock`, `removed` or `unchanged`, with the previous price.
- ✅ **Pay less for monitoring** — with "Output only changes", unchanged products are billed at a tiny "checked" rate.
- ✅ **Discounts calculated** — `compareAtPrice` and `discountPercent` per variant, `onSale` per product.
- ✅ **Product or variant level** — nested variants, or one flat row per size/color for Excel and Google Sheets.
- ✅ **Collections** — scrape only `sale`, `new-arrivals` or any other collection.
- ✅ **Many stores at once**, with automatic retries and proxy rotation when a store rate-limits.
- ✅ **Store currency** included, so prices from different stores are not mixed up.

### Use cases

- **Competitor price monitoring** for e-commerce and D2C brands
- **Dropshipping & product research:** find new and best-selling products, track stock-outs
- **Deal and coupon sites:** detect price drops and sales automatically
- **Market research:** catalogue size, price ranges, vendors and product types of any niche
- **Brand protection:** watch resellers' prices for MAP violations

### How to monitor a competitor (2 minutes)

1. Add the store(s), switch on **Track changes between runs** and **Output only changes**.
2. Run once — this saves the baseline (all products are delivered).
3. Create a **Schedule** in Apify (e.g. daily at 8:00) for this Actor with the same input.
4. Every run now delivers only the changes. Connect a webhook, Slack, email or Google Sheets integration to get alerts.

Use **Monitor name** to keep separate histories, e.g. `competitor-a-daily` and `competitor-a-sale-hourly`.

### Input example

```json
{
  "storeUrls": ["gymshark.com", "colourpop.com"],
  "outputLevel": "products",
  "monitorChanges": true,
  "changesOnly": true
}
```

### Output example (shortened)

```json
{
  "store": "https://colourpop.com",
  "storeName": "ColourPop",
  "currency": "USD",
  "title": "Super Shock Shadow",
  "url": "https://colourpop.com/products/super-shock-shadow",
  "vendor": "ColourPop",
  "productType": "Eyeshadow",
  "minPrice": 7,
  "maxPrice": 9,
  "available": true,
  "onSale": true,
  "variantsCount": 12,
  "variantsAvailable": 10,
  "change": "price_down",
  "previousPrice": 9,
  "variants": [
    { "title": "Bae", "sku": "SSS-BAE", "price": 7, "compareAtPrice": 9, "discountPercent": 22.2, "available": true }
  ]
}
```

A run summary (products per store and counts per change type) is saved as `SUMMARY` in the run's key-value store.

### Pricing

- **$0.0005 per delivered row** (product or variant) — 10,000 products for $5.
- **$0.0001 per checked product** that is skipped because it did not change (monitoring with "Output only changes").
- Stores that fail are reported and not charged.

### FAQ

**Does it work with every Shopify store?** It works with stores that keep Shopify's public product feed enabled — the large majority. If a store has disabled it, you get a clear error row and no charge.

**Is this legal?** The Actor only reads product information that the store publishes openly. No personal data is collected.

**Where is the history stored?** In a named key-value store `shopify-monitor` in your own Apify account. Delete it to reset all monitors.

# Actor input Schema

## `storeUrls` (type: `array`):

Store domains or URLs, e.g. gymshark.com or https://colourpop.com.

## `collection` (type: `string`):

Only products of one collection, e.g. 'sale' or 'new-arrivals' (the part after /collections/ in the store URL).

## `maxProductsPerStore` (type: `integer`):

0 = all products.

## `outputLevel` (type: `string`):

'Product' keeps variants nested; 'Variant' gives one flat row per size/color — easier for spreadsheets.

## `monitorChanges` (type: `boolean`):

Remembers the last run and marks each row as new, price_down, price_up, sold_out, back_in_stock, removed or unchanged. Schedule the Actor (e.g. daily) to monitor competitors.

## `changesOnly` (type: `boolean`):

With tracking on: skip unchanged products (they are billed at the much cheaper 'checked' rate). The first run always outputs everything as the baseline.

## `monitorName` (type: `string`):

Keeps separate histories for different monitors. By default the history is tied to the list of stores.

## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):

Plain-text description (makes the output larger).

## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):

How many stores are processed at the same time.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Leave off: the Actor connects directly and switches to residential proxies automatically if a store blocks it. Note: Shopify rejects data-center proxies.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "storeUrls": [
    "colourpop.com"
  ],
  "maxProductsPerStore": 0,
  "outputLevel": "products",
  "monitorChanges": false,
  "changesOnly": false,
  "includeDescription": false,
  "maxConcurrency": 3,
  "proxyConfiguration": {
    "useApifyProxy": false
  }
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `results` (type: `string`):

Products or variants with prices, stock and change status.

## `summary` (type: `string`):

Products per store and counts per change type.
