## Changelog

### 0.1 (not yet released)

First version.

- Looks up UK companies by company number, exact name or Companies House link in the official Companies House API: status, type, incorporation date and age, SIC codes and industry, registered office, previous names, accounts and confirmation statement dates, overdue flags, charges and insolvency history.
- Reads key figures (turnover, profit, assets, cash, debtors, creditors, net assets, equity, employees) and the previous year's figures from the latest accounts filed as inline XBRL, in the FRC (FRS 102 and FRS 105), older UK GAAP and IFRS taxonomies.
- Lists company owners from the register of persons with significant control: companies and legal entities with share and voting bands; people are only counted.
- Finds companies with the advanced search: name, SIC codes, location, incorporation dates, status and type, with a fast search-results-only mode (written in batches). When more companies match than the maximum, the newest are kept.
- Reads a loss or net liabilities that the accounts show in brackets as negative when the filing tags it without the minus sign (a filing error seen in real accounts), and lists those figures in `financials.signsFromBrackets`.
- Reads the number of employees as shown when a filing tags it at a hundredth of that number (a filing error seen in 6 of 93 live accounts that gave an employee number), and leaves accounts that tag fewer than 5 numbers unread (other than dormant ones), because so few tags give misleading figures.
- Change tracking between scheduled runs.
- Paces requests under the Companies House rate limit and follows the remaining count it reports; optional own API key, stored encrypted.
- Pay per company found, plus a second event when accounts figures were read (and Apify's start fee per run); companies listed from the search results only are charged a smaller event instead; companies not found, duplicates and failed lookups are not charged.
- Company facts only: no officers, no names of people with significant control, no care-of names, no text from accounts.
