## Pricing

Pay per usage

This Actor is paid per platform usage. The Actor is free to use, and you only pay for the Apify platform usage, which gets cheaper the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Google Hotels Scraper - Hotel Prices by OTA & Rate Parity

Check **rate parity** for any hotel in seconds: for your stay dates, this Actor reads Google Hotels and returns the price on the **hotel's official website** next to the price on **every OTA** Google lists (Booking.com, Expedia, Hotels.com, Agoda, Trip.com, Priceline and many smaller ones), and tells you **which OTAs undercut the official rate and by how much**.

### What you get for each hotel

| Field | What it means |
|---|---|
| `officialSite` | Price per night and total on the hotel's own website, as listed on Google |
| `cheapestOta` | The cheapest OTA, with price per night and total |
| `parityGapPercent` | How much cheaper the cheapest OTA is than the official site. Positive = an OTA undercuts the hotel |
| `otasBelowOfficial` | Every OTA selling below the official rate |
| `offers` | All offers: provider, price per night, total for the stay, free cancellation deadline |
| `hotelClass`, `rating`, `reviewsCount`, `latitude`, `longitude`, `website` | Hotel details (when the hotel comes from a search) |
| `datesConfirmed` | `true` when Google applied your exact dates. Results without it are never charged |

Example from a real run (Porto, Dec 10–12, USD; shortened):

```json
{
  "hotelName": "Eurostars Porto Douro",
  "checkIn": "2026-12-10",
  "checkOut": "2026-12-12",
  "currency": "USD",
  "officialSite": {"provider": "Eurostars Porto Douro", "pricePerNight": 118.53, "totalPrice": 237.07},
  "cheapestOta": {"provider": "Agoda", "pricePerNight": 85.66, "totalPrice": 171.32},
  "parityGapPercent": 27.7,
  "otasBelowOfficial": ["Agoda", "Hotelsnest.com", "Booking.com", "..."],
  "offersCount": 20
}
```

### Who uses it

- **Hotel revenue managers and owners**: see every day which OTAs break your parity, without paying for a rate shopper subscription.
- **Hotel groups and consultants**: run a whole portfolio or a competitive set in one go.
- **Travel agencies and analysts**: compare channels and track price positioning across a city.

### How to use it

1. Add hotels by name (with the city) or paste Google Hotels URLs, **or** type an area (for example `Porto, Portugal`) to check the hotels Google shows for it.
2. Pick check-in and check-out dates and a currency.
3. Run it. Schedule it daily to monitor parity over time.

The OTAs Google shows depend on the traveler's country. The default proxy is a US residential IP; change the proxy country to see the market you care about.

### Pricing

Pay per result: **one charge per hotel with prices** (all OTAs and the parity summary included). Hotels that are not found, have no prices for your dates, or where Google did not apply your dates are **not charged**. You can set a maximum cost per run; the Actor stops cleanly when it is reached.

### Notes

- Reads only public pages of Google Hotels, without logging in. No personal data is collected.
- Prices are what Google shows at the moment of the run; they change during the day.
- Google lists up to about 20 hotels per area search.

### Schedule it, use the API or connect it to your tools

- **Schedule** daily or weekly runs in Apify to monitor rate parity over time.
- Call it from your code with the **Apify API** (Python, JavaScript or plain HTTP) and get the results as JSON, CSV or Excel.
- Send results to **Google Sheets, Slack, Zapier, Make or a webhook** with Apify integrations.

### Troubleshooting

- **A hotel returns no offers or `datesConfirmed: false`**: Google did not apply your dates for that hotel (it happens with some luxury hotels). Try other dates or the hotel's Google Hotels URL. These results are not charged.
- **A hotel is not found**: add the city to the name (`Park Hyatt New York`) or paste its Google Hotels URL.
- **You see different OTAs than in your browser**: the OTAs depend on the traveler's country. Change the proxy country.

### FAQ

**Is this a hotel rate shopper?** Yes, for parity checks: it compares the official website price with every OTA Google Hotels lists, per hotel and per stay.

**Can I check a whole city?** Yes. Type an area instead of hotel names and it checks the hotels Google shows for it (up to about 20).

**How fresh are the prices?** They are read at the moment of the run.

# Actor input Schema

## `hotels` (type: `array`):

Hotel names (add the city for accuracy, e.g. "Hotel Inn Rossio Lisbon") or Google Hotels URLs.

## `location` (type: `string`):

City or area, e.g. "Porto, Portugal". Checks the hotels Google shows first for that area.

## `maxHotels` (type: `integer`):

How many hotels to check from the area search (Google shows up to about 20 per search).

## `checkIn` (type: `string`):

YYYY-MM-DD. Defaults to 30 days from today.

## `checkOut` (type: `string`):

YYYY-MM-DD. Defaults to one night after check-in. Up to 30 nights.

## `currency` (type: `string`):

ISO code, e.g. USD, EUR, GBP.

## `language` (type: `string`):

Language code for the results, e.g. en, en-US, de, es.

## `country` (type: `string`):

Two-letter country code Google uses for the results. The list of OTAs also depends on the proxy country.

## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):

How many pages to fetch in parallel. Lower it if you see blocks.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Residential proxy in the market you care about gives the OTA list a traveler there sees.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "hotels": [
    "Hotel Inn Rossio Lisbon"
  ],
  "maxHotels": 20,
