## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Google Play Reviews Scraper - Android app reviews, ratings & developer replies

Export **Google Play reviews** for any app as JSON, CSV or Excel: star rating, text, date, app version, thumbs-up and the **developer's reply** - one flat row per review.

Built for **app developers and product managers, ASO and UX researchers, customer-support and sentiment analysis, competitor monitoring and AI / LLM pipelines**.

- Many apps and countries in one run
- **Newest** or **most helpful** first, or by rating
- Filter by **star rating** (e.g. only 1-2 star complaints) and **date** (only new reviews since your last run)
- No login, no API key, no browser - fast and cheap

### Quick start

The latest reviews for one app:

```json
{
  "apps": [
    "com.spotify.music"
  ],
  "countries": [
    "us"
  ],
  "maxReviewsPerApp": 200
}
```

Only 1- and 2-star reviews since a date, from several countries - a weekly complaints digest:

```json
{
  "apps": [
    "com.spotify.music"
  ],
  "countries": [
    "us"
  ],
  "stars": [
    "1",
    "2"
  ],
  "sinceDate": "2026-10-01",
  "maxReviewsPerApp": 0
}
```

### Output

```json
{
  "store": "Google Play",
  "appId": "com.spotify.music",
  "country": "au",
  "reviewId": "181156c7-9ec4-47a7-8366-c427ac92d148",
  "rating": 1,
  "title": null,
  "text": "Spotify not able to resolve issue with all music played via app interrupting over Android Auto. Very poor customer support and technical support non-existent.",
  "userName": "Simon Braithwaite",
  "date": "2026-10-10T11:01:08.936Z",
  "appVersion": "9.1.90.2270",
  "helpfulVotes": 0,
  "totalVotes": null,
  "developerReply": null,
  "developerReplyDate": null,
  "url": "https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.spotify.music&reviewId=181156c7-9ec4-47a7-8366-c427ac92d148"
}
```

Reviews where the developer answered include `developerReply` and `developerReplyDate` - great for measuring support response.

### Pricing

Pay per review delivered - see the **Pricing** tab. Use *Max reviews per app* and the run's maximum cost to cap spending, and *Only reviews since* on schedules so you never pay twice for the same review.

### FAQ

**How many reviews can I get?** All of them - popular apps have hundreds of thousands. Set *Max reviews per app* to 0 for everything.

**Language vs country?** Google Play mainly groups reviews by language. Set *Language* to get reviews written in it.

**Can I schedule it?** Yes - create a schedule with *Newest first* and *Only reviews since*, and connect Google Sheets, Slack, Zapier or Make from the Integrations tab.

**Need app details, rankings or top charts?** Use the companion [Google Play Scraper](https://apify.com/datawright/google-play-scraper). Both stores: [App Store Reviews](https://apify.com/datawright/app-store-reviews-scraper) · [Google Play Reviews](https://apify.com/datawright/google-play-reviews-scraper).
