## Pricing

from $28.00 / 1,000 company researcheds

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Company News Research

Give it any list of company domains. For each one we run a fresh Google search for the last 12
months and classify what we find into dated buying signals, each with a source link, ready to drop
into a Clay table or a CRM. It works on companies nobody has tracked before.

### Signals

| Category | What it means |
| --- | --- |
| `ai_adoption` | Building, deploying or scaling AI, generative AI or AI agents |
| `funding_round` | Raised a round, took investment, or went public |
| `acquisition` | Acquired a company or was acquired |
| `product_launch` | Launched a new product, platform or major feature |
| `leadership_change` | A C-level or VP executive joined or left |
| `expansion` | New offices, new markets, or major hiring |
| `partnership` | A partnership, integration or reseller deal |
| `restructuring` | Layoffs, restructuring or cost cutting |
| `security_incident` | A data breach or cyberattack (only when dated and under a year old) |

Each row has the newest story's date, headline and link, plus every supporting story.
`signal_date_estimated` is set when no result carried a publication date.

### Good to know

The categories are general B2B buying events, with extra attention to AI and security. The search
covers public web news from the last 12 months, so small private companies with little
press often come back with no signal, and are still charged as a live search.

### Pricing

| Event | Price | When |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `company-researched` | USD 0.04 (USD 40 per 1,000) | Per domain researched, with or without a signal |

Every domain is a live search, so a domain with no news is still charged. A domain the search
could not finish is not charged. The run never researches more domains than your maximum charge
allows. Example: 100 domains = USD 4.

### Timing

Searches run in batches of 25 domains. A batch usually takes 2 to 15 minutes. A domain someone
researched in the last 24 hours comes back at once from cache, at the same price.

### Input

| Field | Notes |
| --- | --- |
| `domains` | Domains, website URLs or work emails |

### Related

**Security and AI Buying Signals** returns the signals we already hold, faster and cheaper, and
**B2B Company Firmographics by Domain** returns company data.

### Data and privacy

Company-level data only. No personal data is returned.

### FAQ

**How is this different from Security and AI Buying Signals?**
That actor reads signals we already store. This one searches the web live, so it works for any domain, including small or new companies.

**How much does it cost?**
USD 40 per 1,000 domains researched. A domain with no news is still charged because the search ran.

**How fresh is the news?**
Each run searches live. Results from the last 24 hours are reused at the same price.
